Here among the shawdows in a lonely land
We're a band of pilgrims on the move
Burdened down with sorrows we're shunned on every hand
We are looking for a city built above.

Here in disappointment we so sadly roam
Friends no longer speak one word of love
We have found contentment Jesus promised us a home

In this land of danger going here and there
