SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(MARKET WIRE)--Jul 28, 2008 -- NCS Technologies, Inc., a leader in OEM computing manufacturing services, and Interface Masters Technologies, an industry leader and innovator in networking solutions, announced today that they will attend the Linuxworld Expo (August 5th-7th at the Moscone Center in San Francisco) and demonstrate the new NCS Technologies' "Portable" Appliance combined with a newly released Interface Masters Niagara 3064, Quad Port Gigabit PCI-Express Server Adapter/NIC based on Broadcom's* BCM5709, at the Interface Masters Booth #1311.
The development of the new "Portable" Appliance clearly demonstrates NCS' full custom design capability as it began as a napkin sketch by a customer. The requirement was for a unit to be portable yet powerful; conceptually a unit that could be easily deployed in an enterprise as a "network tap" to capture traffic in wow server ravencrest ip address an inconspicuous manner, left for a week or two, then picked up and taken off site for data analysis.
