An  Apple  Pie

@

There are many rhymes about "Pie", and there are some stories involve 'pie' on EC comic., maybe it's because English people love pies?

To learn more about 'pie', check History of Pie Web Site, it contains not the history of 'pie', but also supplies some recipes of pie' - yummy

It is said that this rhyme, An Apple Pie,  had been written since the 16th century. Very often, people used this rhyme to teach children alphabet during the 19th century.

"The Tragical Death of A", another name of this rhyme. Kaori Yuki has mentioned this rhyme on the talking  column of "Miss Pudding Tragedy " (original title 'Tragedy of Miss Pudding which is being cut into pieces and eaten) The tragedy was that a murder involved 26 men where one of them "A" was tortured by the other 25 men named "B" to "Z", each had his own job to deal with "A".

Read the rhyme and feel how "A" was treated by the other 25 gentlemen, "B"-"Z".

I have found two rhymes about pie from my nursery rhymes book :

Who made the pie?
I did.
Who stole the pie?
He did.
Who found the pie?
She did.
Who at teh pie?
You did.
Who cried for pie?
We all did.

Apple pie, pudding,
  and pancakes,
All begins with A.
