- At Eliza's House-
(maids gossiping in the kitchen)

"There isn't anyone who would speaks of bad things about Mr Collin, he's a kind person and good mannered as well, didn't even complain one word about Miss Eliza's selfishness!"

"Yeah yeah, from then on, Miss Eliza put further heavy make up on and became more addicted to going out in the evening!"

Pa!

Eliza slammed the door and putting on a silly smile appologised to Cain, " I am sorry you have to hear these when you came all the way for me ! Don't you think that our maids have had bad education? No matter where I go, I AM THE ONE who is bad! Everyone, like my brother, hates me...well... my brother's leg... It was my fault. When I was little, the ruins of a wall where I played collapsed onto me. My brother protected me and injured his leg seriously....due to that from then on, my brother took on the roles of our parents who died when we were small and became strict on me."

" Well this is the reason why my brother hates me." Eliza stared across the room, holding a glass of wine in her hand, " He must have also thought that I was the one who killed Collin....Oh well...I couldn't possibly love my parents appointed fiancee anyway.."

Suddenly Cain heard some noises in the background

Cain: !

Eliza old him casually, " It's okay, I am always being spyed on"

- To protect Eliza,Dadery was seriously hurt.
Eliza tells Cain someone always keeps an eye on her -

Eliza then got up to kiss Cain on the lips, " They are probably hired by my brother to keep an eye on me. To report things like these...." Cain stood there receiving the kiss with indifference. He then noticed the emblem marked on wall above the fireplace behind him and asked, " ... Is this your family's emblem?"

" Yes, the lion enclosed by the swords is the emblem of my family."

".... I see...."

" Tonight... Let's go again at the same time to the place where Collin was murdered and see."

"... What are you saying !?" Eliza tried to turn Cain away from this idea, "Don't do it please, I am already wanting to forget about Collin...!" Yet Cain did not listened and was already putting on his hat, " I remembered something... that a very important clue was left there....!"

"Yes..An evidence that won't go away!" Cain thought to himself as he walked out of the house.

Once Cain got to the crime scene the familiar noises of the walking stick can be heard again.

Ko Ka Ko Ka.... a shadow appeared behind Cain.

Sensing someone behind his back Cain said calmly without turning around, " ... I remembered I have heard those sounds of footsteps before...."

It was Dadery. Cain continued as he turned around to face the man, " These are the same strange sounds I heard before discovering Collin's dead body.... they were the sounds of footsteps of a man with a walking stick.These sounds were from you... Eliza's brother Dadery... the lion shaped bruise marks on Collin's palm..."

Cain then pointed his finger at Dadery, " It was very similar to the emblem specially carved out onto the walking stick that you are holding in your hand. Before his death, if he had fight with the criminal and had strongly grabbed at 'that', it wouldn't be suprising that on his dead body that same mark would be left behind on his skin."

Dadery stood motionless as he listened to Cain's explainations of the case.

" You were spying on Eliza that day, and as I suspect, you had an arguement with Collin who brought her here, because of what disagreements between you two that you killed him?"

Slowly Dadery lifted up his walking stick, " This is an interesting story of yours.... Haven't you thought about that it was this specially made gun thathave killed Collin? "

As Dadery lifted his walking stick horizontally, the top of the stick opened revealing a long tube. Dadery aimed at Cain's chest and bang! Lief ran in front of Cain, using his very body to shield the bullet from his young master. Cain stood, shocked, as he stares at Lief's body falling down to the ground in front of his eyes.

- Rief saves Rief -

"No matter where you are
I know straight away how to find you
These words of Lief repeated in Cain's brain as he watches the scene.

" Stop this!! Dadery Brother!!"

" Eliza !?" Dadery turned around, finding his sister rushing to the place.

Cain had already came back to his senses and kneeled down next to Lief. "
Are... you hurt..?" Lief asked breathlessly.

" Idiot!! I should the one asking you....!"

" Why!? Why did you kill Collin, brother !?" Eliza demanded an answer from Dadery.

"I...."

-Flashback -
I have always felt that Collin had a hidden face that he doesn't show on the outside. Because I have seen him swearing and cursing about Eliza with his shadowed side. That day, when I questioned him as he started to complain about Eliza, he began the fight . . .

"Does it really matter if I hit or do anything to that type of bad woman anyway! If she wants to cancel the marriage she can just do it, but who do you think others would believe? In that wild woman or me? I will charge as much compensation as possible!"

"Collin... you ...!!"

While we struggled in the fight....

" Stop ... Uh...Go to hell... ! ! "

Collin is shot in the chest by Dadery's walking stick.
-End Flashback-

".... You knew...Didn't you...? You knew about how I was abused by Collin...."

"Yes I knew.... as have always been watching over you.. I also knows about how you started to put on heavy make up in order to hide the bruises after you have been hit by Collin..." sweat coming down Dadery's face as he explains how he'd always known the pains suffered by his sister.

Eliza started to cry, tears washing away the make up on her face revealing marks of Collin's brutalness.

" I also know how you have put up with all this by yourself when no one would believe what you say..."

Eliza started to shake, " You are lying...! You even lost your right leg
because of me... You can't possibly not hate me...."

" I was thankful to God at that time....that he lets me to save the only person I have to protect, my sister, after both of our parents died with one leg of mine..... I actually cried out to God at that moment 'Ah! My sister is living! Halleluiah!'"

" You would not become strict and serious towards those who you don't love... It is all because that person is more important than anyone and anything else that you would say hard things to them."

Cain stared at Dadery as he spoke those words as he now understood what Lief had said before. "Lief..."

"It is of course the most easy to be kind to someone just on the surface"

"If you don't tell me....I wouldn't know...!!" Eliza said as she cried, "Because I ... am an idiot...!"

- Eliza finally realizes who does care her and love her . . .
And so as Cain -

Eliza then put her arms around her brother and the sibling is now locked around each other in a warm embrace.

" Sorry...!!I... have been waiting...! I have been waiting... for the day when my brother would return to me.... for the day when we can live together again... !" Eliza sobbed in Dadery's arms.

-Back at Cain's Castle-
Lief had finished bandaging his wound, " The reason why I could find you when you hid yourself in the past.... was because I have always been watching over you like Mr. Dadery."

Sitting on top of the side of the sofa next to Lief, Cain replied "... You are lying.. Lief was busy and did not have that much time."

" Yes....there are times when I lose sight of you... when that happens... I would follow your thoughts in my own way. The wind you like, the small roads you like... the shades you like... while I think about if you are crying now and feeling my body being dragged on by my worries and concerns... I would then be able to reach the place you were at miraculously"

Cain turned around to look at Lief, then reached out his hands to take Lief's bandaged hand into his own, tenderly touching Lief's fingers, all the while keeping his head low, eyes not leaving Lief's hand.

"Of course you can always find me. You are my toy and mine only...so don't add injuries to yourself without my consent...!"

--( Cain's inner voice) so does that mean I am someone else's property... who is the one being controlled over here? And that is my Lion Emblem (emblem of cruelty) - -

" These all belong to me. These are the only fingers that will tie my shoelaces."

-No matter how many people passed their way,
their bond can never be broken.
Yes, no matter who comes by...
