=Early Morning =

A young man is found dead, lying on the grass. . .

". . . Is it dead?"

"Isn't ... Isn't ... this Georgie Bargie?"

Even the whole face is nearly covered by hair, the blood drains can still be seen obviously on his face.

"The body is cold . . . It's probably being killed yesterday afternoon? It seems that the head is struck hard. . . "

The Police do the searching and examine... And so as Cain

Cain thinks: White powder crystal on the head .... ? This is . . .

A voice: "The Police is coming. Please let them ! "

=In the Dinning Room =

Madame Graice(as merry as usual. Sitting on her favorite rattan chair, wearing her young girl look hair style) replies to the Police with smiling eyes: "Oh! I don't understand much about your saying . . . But, who is Georgie ?"

A Police: "No way! That Madame can't be communicated. She even can't remember her own relative !"

Another Police: "Anyway, it's probably must be a robbery. All his valuable things are missing."

Cain is leaning against the wall, watching and thinking:
That's strange. . . Yesterday, Madame still remembered... And now, he was being forgotten?

=Later after, in Madame Graice's room =

Madame Graice (gives a jar of jam to Merryweather): "Good morning, Kitty! Here you are!"

Merryweather (holds the jar happily): "WAH ~ It's blueberry jam! But, didn't you say that you would show me how to make jam today ..."

Madame Graice: "Talking about this, those biscuits we made were disappeared. But, this jar of jam was placed there instead. Isn't it unbelievable? And so, this jar of jam must be given to us by the naughty elf who has stolen our biscuits! Only within this sealed jar, could a secret be hid inside."

Cain is figuring all the matters and wondering:
Jam was made in a night ...
Madame, who has forgotten Georgie . ..
The place where the jam was made ... was .. the Kitchen . . . !

He walks into the kitchen.
A little chambermaid is tying to destroy a document ...

Cain holds the chambermaid's hand to stop her burning the paper.

Cain (looks at the frightened chambermaid) <she is the one whom dead Georgie scolded on last night> : "This . . . isn't this the authorized document of this house ownership?"

Cain also saw those belongings of Georgie on the kitchen floor.

Chambermaid: "No --- Please let me go !"

Cain (still holding the document) : "Oh, yes! The fragrant on those letters is the same as the floor powder smell . . . ! ! "

Chambermaid: "!"

Cain: "Was it you ...Who wrote those letters?"

Chambermaid: "..... No ... No ! ! "

Cain: "... Why you wanted to burn Georgie's things? Is it because . . . "

Chambermaid (anxiously): "No!"

Meanwhile, all the servants of the house come in, led by the butler. Some are holding weapons like rifle, knife, etc.

Butler: "That is correct . . . No one was killed . . . Because, in the eyes of that person, 'death' is meaningless . . . "

Cain (scanning the servants with his cat eyes): " . . . 22, 23, 24 people. Butler, chambermaid, chef, lumberjack, hunter . . . Look at you, people, coming here with weapons. No wonder you all are the 24 Black Birds <from 'Sing a song of sixpence', the 24 Black birds in fact implies the guard of the King> But, the weapon which killed Georgie is not here. In fact, even a tiny blood strain cannot be found in this house. Needn't mention any marks left in this kitchen - nor a rat ca be seen here. It is perfect. But, this kind of tidy makes unnatural !"

24 Black Birds Fly into the Kitchen
- 22 servants led by the Butler , fly into the kitchen.
Cain already knew all the truth -

Cain took out a small bag of white powders from pocket and shows to the butler: "This is the white crystal left on Georgie's hair. . . It's the left over of the dissolved sugar. Supposing, this is the broken pieces of the 'Sugar Stick' which hit Mr. Georgie... and to kill him ."

Chambermaid (nervously): " Oh . . . ! I . . . It's I! It's I who used the sugar stick to hit Mr. Georgie dead."

Butler (yelling): "Ann ! ! "

Ann: "To cheer gentle Madame who brought me up . . . I asked the other to help. Butler taught me read and write. . . I sent those letters abroad and let them help me keep the secret. Therefore . . . I want to protect Madame's dream world for good."

Cain: "... Even bearing the name of criminal, you are still willing to protect her?"

Servants : !

Hearing what Cain just said, all the servants want to do something but is stopped by the butler.

Cain (holds the jar of jam which Madame Graice gave to Merryweahter this morning): "This is . . . a jar of jam contains those pieces of the sugar stick. Can't you see those tiny red pieces inside? The red finger polish pieces is the same as Madame's faded finger polish. How came it is kept inside ? "

What happened last night recalls in Ann's mind:
Georgie tries to hit her and is stopped by Madame.

Madame Graice: "Stop It! Stop it, Georgie Bargie!!" Let Ann go! Georgie !"

Georige: "Auntie Graice !"

Madame Graice (hit Georgie hard): "How wicked you are! You are a child of bulling! Don't come here more, you Bad Child!"

Georgie: "... Damn ... Damn! What the hell ... I treat you nice and you are now so ferocious . . . ! That's enough for your tales and mother goose rhymes!! Treat the unfortune as a dream!", holding his aunt's hand hard and yelling at her," Thanks to you, yourself. You told her that by believing, Peter Pan would come. And so, young Kitty who loved day dreaming flew out from the window and dead alive!"

- The scene that Kitty jumped into the window and fell dead rushing into Madame Graice's mind again -

Georgie: "It was YOU who killed Kitty, my dear aunite ! !"

Madame Graice: "AR !!", her shaking hands are searching something in order to stop Georgie's cruel saying . . . She finally found the hard sugar stick . . .

NO ! !

Ann is staring there speechlessly, leaving messy hair Madame Graice watching Georgie's body lying on the floor . . .

- Ann recalls what happened last night.
Madame Graice tried to help Ann but was driven crazy by Georgie.
Madame Graice's finger polish was left on the killing weapon - Sugar Stick -

Ann: "Madame . . . She can't take the truth. . . And so, we have to protect her world . .. Madame is such a good person! We all are kept and accepted by Madame. She gave us hope again! She is our savior!"

Ann recalls what her respected and loved Madame Graice said to her: [Ann! No matter it's the washing or the cleaning, it is an important work too ! I've never seen such a well-to-do kitchen! How I wish to show this off to the others ! ]

Ann: ". . .What I could do was . . . washed away the blood strains on the floor."

Another Servant: "Labouring is our duty. We moved Mr. Georgie out of the crime scene and took Madame back to sleep."

Ann: "To hid the sugar stick, I made it into jam. But, didn't recognize the broken finger polish pieces . . ."

People All Here,
Everyone,
do his best to make that person smile happily . . .

Butler: " . . . It's all my fault. And for the Police's, that me . . "

Cain (stops the butler): "What thing ? ", throws the document into the fire.

Servants: "Oh ! The authorized document . . . ! !"

Cain: "There's no evidence here. What being said is a proposition only, isn't it?"

=In a Carriage, Merry and Cain are going home =

Merryweather (surprisingly to find the jar of jam in Cain's): "Bro ... Brother !? Isn't it someone's jam? Why you took it !? "

Cain: "Oh, sorry, sorry! That's okay! We can bring one to her next year!"

Merryweather: "You are what you are, brother ------ !! "
