~ Royal Economy ~
When good King Arthur ruled this land,
He was a goodly king;
He stole three pecks of barley-meal
To make a bag-pudding.
A bag-pudding the kind
did make,
And stuffed it well with plums;
And in it put great lumps of fat,
As big as my two thumbs.
The kind and queen did
eat thereof,
And nobleman beside;
And what they could not eat that right,
The queen next morning fried.
this rhyme is applied in "Miss Puddy Tragedy" - vol. 2 of "Earl Cain". This rhyme leads to a mysterious dead of the members from a secret, immoral club. What remains in the crime scene was a starving little girl next to the bodies and some black plums puddlings.
