Among those Mother Goose rhymes, I guess "Humpty Dumpty" is in the top 5 ! This well-known rhyme is alredy thousand years old and it seems that it has many national versions but the main theme of this rhyme is of course Mr. Humpty Dumpty - the life-and-death story of an egg.

Nowadays, as we all know that Himpty Dumpty is in fact an Egg. But, don't you know that a thousand years ago, after singing this rhyme, children used to ask "Who is Humpty Dumpty"? heeeeeeee.. BUT... originally, Humpty Dumpty was a..... child! OR, was it a.?! Scholar Robert Ripley held that the reputedly "humpbacked" King Richard III (1452-1485), who was his kingdom tumble, would fit the role perfectly. But it would take a hard-boiled detective to know for sure ...
