Current Artistic Objective:
I recently completed a five month assignment working abroad with Gallerie Madame Peryalde in the Village Suisse of Paris. On May 15th I decided to retire from full time (every day) Art sales. However, I am looking forward to an opportunity to return to the business on a part time basis filling in for absences and vacations or helping during peak business periods such as shows, special events, tourist season etc.Experience

Responsible for the pre sale consultation, evaluation and ultimately the sale or purchase of specialized pre W.W.II French and Italian art. This is a �big ticket" highly consultative relationship development position involving multiple decision-makers. Presentations are made to private parties, Corporations and in some cases to dealers. I undertook this position to expand my skills, enhance my adaptability and broaden my sphere of knowledge and influence.

This was the most exciting Gallery position in San Francisco. I conducted numerous seminars and private showings in addition to the scheduled major events and shows which were numerous and quite lavish. I specialized in sculpture by Elizabeth McQueen, Paintings by Tamara D�Lampica and H. Claude Pissaro. We had a wonderful selection of Rembrandt engravings from the Titus gallery in LA and I sold many of these pieces as well. Numerous black tie gala events resulted in large sales at a time when the art business was suffering. My work as Director of Corporate sales produced the healthy cash flow (print sales) which is often erratic in the gallery business.
Cunningham Gallery, Hyannis, Cape Cod.
Art Sales (Cape Cod and the Berkshires)
I was recruited by Edmund P. Cunningham to assist him in the day to day operations of this gallery located at Dumphy�s Hotel in Hyannis. I Knew art and I knew business but I did not know the art business. This is where I learned the unique nuance called �romancing the art" We sold sea scape tourist paintings (thank God) as well as very high-end works by Robert Douglas Hunter and other lesser known Cape Cod artists. We also sold Murano glass and brokered commissions.
