Special Issue Call for Papers

The challenges and responsibilities in communication management

Researchers and organizational scholars have increasingly recognized that effective communication management is the key to organizational success and growth. However, existing literature still lacks thorough understanding of effective communication management methods in the technology explosion era. Recognizing the importance of minimizing communication chaos in an increasingly technological and global community, the EAJM issues a call for manuscript for a special issue devoted to the scholarship of communication in management.

The focus of this special issue is on the challenges and responsibilities with more vocal stakeholders, and how communication management changes over time. Manuscripts focusing on the theme of The challenges and responsibilities in communication management are most desirable. Theoretical, conceptual, and empirical papers, using qualitative and quantitative methodologies addressing a variety of research interests, including but not restricted to, internal communication management, cross cultural communication management, corporate responsibility, corporate strategies, practice in strategic communication, interactive communication via website, reputation and impression management, managing dispute, disaster response and emergency management, online collaboration, and managing new communication technologies in the workplace are solicited. Other aspects of communication in public and not-for-profit community service organizations are also of interest.

EAJM follows a policy of double blind review so no author identification should appear in the body of the manuscript. Manuscripts should not exceed 7500 words. Kindly refer to http://www.geocities.com/eajm2002/ for details on manuscript requirements.
The special issue is scheduled for publication in June 2008. The extended deadline for competed manuscript is Saturday February 15, 2008. All submissions must be original and unpublished, although authors are welcome to submit articles presented at conferences.
