It is a common notion within the community that no one set foot out from the village to go to another place without two basic skills - self defense and 'kancet lasan'(warrior dance). Similarly for you, we hope you brought along some unique traditions to share with us, if you do not mind.
We are proud of our cultural performances. The ladies have improved on with their costumes tremendously by decorating them with colorful beads and glaring motifs.
The long dance is the dance for the ladies and the youths. The rest that form the lineups are mere followers and supporters. It started in those days as a village celebration to welcome the return of our warriors from triumphant headhunting trips. The dance is accompanied with music and sometimes song.
Just follow the crowd by swaying both your hands from side to side while moving forward and sometinme backward by flapping your feet on the floor. Lets do it. After all, a tropical adventure must see some culture, right? We want to see you dance.
