| Up to 8 players can play Magic Mats II. The map has 8 arms of land (2 per side) that radiate from a square of land in the midle. In the mide of the square center is a raised area of land borderd by cliffs. At the end of each players puninsula is two towers with two mats inbetween them. behind the tower is a cliff with a path on one side that goes to a square of land with two more mats. Around the maps are 8 different soldiers. There is a Longbowman, Scorpion, Teutonic Knight, Samurai, Huskarl, Archer, Woad Raider, and a Man-At-Arms. To make peaple you put the type of solder you wont on the mat and that type of solder is created on the map by the 2 towers. The red striped map is for infantry and the yellow mat is for archers and scorpions. You get a max of 70 people. Every 150 seconds you get a heavy scorpion and every 300 seconds you get a sabotuer. At the start of the game you can only make archers and Man-at-arms. As you get more kills your soldiers get upgraded and you can make more types of people. Your upgrades are as follows: 50 kills = your man-at-arms are upgraded to Longswords men 100 kills = your archers are upgraded to crossbows 150 kills = you can make Longbowmen 200 kills = you can make Woad Raiders 250 kills = you can make Samurias 300 kills = your longswords men are upgraded to two-handers 350 kills = your two-handers are upgraded to Champions 400 kills = you crossbowmen are upgraded to Arbalests 450 kills = you can make Huskarls 500 kills = you can make Teutonic Knights 500 kills = you get a Jean de Lorrain every five minutes 550 kills = your Lingbowmen are upgraded to Elite longbowmen 600 kills = your Woad Raiders are upgraded to Elite Woad Raiders 650 kills = your Samurais are upgraded to Elite Samurais 700 kills = your Huskarls are upgraded to Elite Huskarls 750 kills = you can make Scorpions 800 kills = you can make Janissaries 850 kills = your Teutonic Knights are upgraded to Elite Teutonic Knights 900 kills = Your scorpions are upgraded to Heavy Scorpions 1000 kills = youget a longboat every 5 minutes 1050 kills = You can make Robin Hoods (a Robin Hood comes) 1100 kills = you can make Hrolf the Ganger (a Hrolf the Ganger comes) 1150 kills = you cane make Charlemagne (a Charlemagne comes) 1250 kills = you can make ornlu the Wolf (Ornlu the wolf comes) 1500 kills = You can make William Wallace ( William Wallace comes) 2000 kills = you research fire arrows + heated shot 1 raizing you get an elephant ___________________________________________________________________________________ Hints and Tricks. 1. Protect your original people. If you lose any of those people you can't make that type anymore. A good idea is to hid the ones you are not using in your tower. Also you can leave 5-10 people blocking the path to your mats. 2. Fight close to home. The person that is closes to there home is going to get reinforcements before the other person and consequensly they will have less casualties then the attacking forces. Also if you leave your home unprotected someone can attack and kill your original people. 3. Use your reinforcements and special units. Your sabotuers should be used to attack large groups of enemy troops. dont wast them on towers. Protect your heavy scorpions. They are great at attacking massed enemy troops because they aff pass through damage. (anything the bolt hits it hurts) Keep the heavy scorpions behind your archers to protect it. Use your Jean de Lorrins behind you archer formation to suport them. You prmary targets are other Jean de Lorrins and heavy Scorpions. Also keep Heavy scorpions and Jean de Lorrins back at your mats to protect the original units from attacking Elite Longboats. Use your Elite Longboats to attack and kill enemy original units. make sure to move your longboats or you will not get more every 5 minutes. 4. Desiding what unit to use. Archers are normaly the best to use. Archers are good against all infantry except huskarls. They are bad against scorpions huskarls and janssarys. I start by making archers and when I have 150 kills change to longbowmen. Once I get to 450 kills I make Huskarls along with archers. (huskarls are great at killing archers because they have lots of peirce armor) Once I get to 750 kills I just make Scorpions. After I get to 1250 kills I make Ornlu the wolf (400 hit pionts and enemy units wont attack them without you ordering them to.) along with scorprions. I will stop making Ornlu the Wolf when I get 1500 kills and make William Wallaces. No one last long after this. |
