| Market Blood |
| All information is based on "Market blood fair V2 fixed." Other market bloods may be different. Most Market Bloods can have up to 8 players, but some can only have 6. This map has 6 penisulas that connect to the middle. The middle is made up of islands that are connected by fords. At the mouth of each peninsula is 4 gates in two rows. Further in is a wall and another gate. Inside this is the market and a flag. This scenario is called market blood becouse when you lose your market you cannot make any more soldiers. At the back of the market is another wall and a neck of land that connects to a square land with four towers one at each corner, a flag on a hill in the middle, 8 different soldiers, and a blacksmith. Clustered around the flag is a Millitia, Archer, Spearman, Scout cavalry, Knight, Elite Longbowman, Elite Woad Raider, Elite Throwing Axeman, and a Elite Samarai. To make units you simply put the kind of unit that you want to create on the hill with the flag and that type of unit will be created on the flag by the market. Only the 8 units that you start out will with produce units. If they are killed you cannot make that kind of unit any more. When you first start out, you can only produce Militia, Archers, and Spearmen. As you kill enemy solders you can start producing other units and your units will upgrade. Kill scores for new units and upgrades are: 125 kills = upgrades your Archers to Crossbows 155 kills = you can now make Scout Cavalry 175 kill = upgrades your Spearmen to Pikemen 220 kills = upgrades your Militia to Long Swordmen 250 kills = upgrades your Scout Cavalry to Light Calvary 280 kills = you now can make Knights 310 kills = upgrades your Long Swordmen to Two-Handers 325 kills = you now can make Elite Woad Raiders 355 kills = upgrades your Knights to Cavaliers 385 kills = you now can make Elite Axemen and upgrades your Cavaliers to Paladins 400 kills = upgrades your Crossbows to Arbalests 450 kills = you now can make Elite Samurais 500 kills = you now can make Elite Longbowmen 550 kills = upgrades your Two-Handers to Champions razings also get you stuff 1 razing = 2 William Wallices ( 400 hit points, 20 attack points) 2 razings = 4 Elite War Elephants (600 hit points, 20 attack points) 3 razings = 3 Elite Longboats Strategy There are three units that are your most important: Archers, Knights, and Spearmen. All units have there strengths and weaknesses. In the beginning of the game you can only produce archers, militia, and spearmen. By looking at their strengths and weaknesses, you will find out that archers are the best and can kill both militia and spearmen with a kill ratio of 20 to 1 or better. You should make archers, if I haven't convinced you, try making spearmen some time and get murdered. The ground is flat so there is no hills, but there are many good choke points. Most of the fords are narrow and when you attack from one not all of your archers will be able to shoot far enough so they will walk around to another ford and be killed one by one. You should position your archers in one group on any of the islands and let the enemy come to you. Normally, attacking archers will have more casualties then the defending archers because the defending archers get to shoot first. So, try to keep your archers stationary, let the enemy come to you, and get the first shot or two while the enemy is still walking towards you. After you have 280 kills, make knights and attack enemy archers. After you have upgraded to palidans destroy their gates and destroy their market. To get to their market fast do this :wait until they come through there gates and then their gates send your calvary through while their gates are still open. If your enemy makes knights before you, stop making archers and make spearmen (pikemen if you have upgraded). Spearmen and pikemen are great calvalry killers. If you get Elite War Elephants and William Wallaces use them to attack enemy gates but if you get Elite Longboats use them to attack the market or kill the units on the flag. (They will not be able to make that type of unit after you kill it.) William Wallaces, Elite War Elephantes and Elite Longboats came as you raze buildings. Franks are the best civilization to play in because they have 20% extra hit points for there cavalry. Frankish knights are 120 hit points instead of 100, Cavaliers are 168 instead of 140 and Paladins are 192 instead of 160. The Frank's only downside is they cannot make arabalests. Hope you like Market Blood as much as i do!!! |
