Section - -70.2 - - No longer applies in Massachusetts!
After a few years of litigation – The Fraternal Order of Eagles and us have reached an agreement on the
discrimination case. The Fraternal Order of Eagles has agreed that women shall no longer be excluded from
the Fraternal Order of Eagles on the basis of their sex and the requirement in Statute 70.2 that members must
be male no longer applies in Massachusetts.
Translation - - Women who join any Aerie in Massachusetts will be considered a Fraternal Order of Eagles member and receive a grand number.
This change is effective now and I am happy to report that Debbie has forwarded all paid women members paperwork to the Grand for membership.

We have started a monthly newsletter! Our hope is that the newsletter will increase member participation in
club events by keeping you informed of what's going on at the club.
