Camp Information
   The Eagle Cross Country Camp is designed to teach the fundamentals of long distance running and prepare athletes for their upcoming seasons.  We are in our 8th edition of camp.  The goal for camp is for  athletes to leave informed, and motivated to reach their respective individual and team goals.  Morehead State varsity cross country runners will lead campers on daily workouts through the Daniel Boone National Forest/ Cave Run Lake area.  Former Eagle runners,  top-ranked tri-state coaches  and elite runners will host daily instructional seminars.  The key concepts of proper training, hill running, mental preparation and nutrition will be discussed by this panel of experts.  During the week there will also be a form analysis done and we will work on goal setting.  The week will end with a 2 mile race.
  During camper's free time, they may participate in organized activities including ultimate frisbee, swimming, tennis, volleyball, card tournaments, and other activities.
    This is a great camp for beginners and runners who have been involved with our great sport for years.  Campers came in from Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and West Virginia during 2006  Next year we are striving for an even greater amount of campers who are looking to reach great heights in the upcoming cross country season.
Fees
2007 rate to be determined.
These prices include meals, housing, use of facilities, T-shirt, and a movie.  Campers may wish to bring money for snacks and, if they wish, to buy something from the MSU bookstore.  A deposit of $25 or payment in full needs to be made with a completed registration form by 6/30/2007.

The Race
  The camp race will be held on Friday morning.  The campers will run a 2 mile race on a relatively fast course.  The girl's race will be run first followed by the boy's race.  An awards ceremony will follow the races.  We are encourageing all parents to attend.
Supplies
    Running apparel, swimming apparel, twin size bed sheets, pillows, and shower accessories.  Be sure to bring two pairs of running shoes in case one pair gets wet and towels for showers and swimming.  Optional items may include radios, televisions and extra food or snacks are optional.
