I'm Always There
I may look like I am sleeping,
   But my spirits ever near.
I am the slightest whisper,
   That you can barely hear.

I am in the breeze that passes by,
In the rustle in the trees.
I may look like I am sleeping
But now I rest in peace.

When the yuletide season rolls around,
Your heart aching now I'm gone.
Remember these words I leave with you,
   My spirit lives forever on.

I'm in the gleeful laugh of children,
I'm in the tinkle of a bell
In snowflakes gently falling,
The first Christmas story you tell.

I know that you will miss me,
As I will miss you too.
Though I look like I am sleeping
   I am watching over you.
