| Up to this point I have very little knowledge about the Chocolat Pupier albums. I don't know from which date to which date they were published, but I believe it was from the beginning of the 1930s to the mid 1950s, with a break during the war. The two L'Asie albums I have in my proud possession are from 1936 and 1938. |

| The first time I saw the 1938 leaflet, in a small French bookstore, I was very surprised to see a place I knew well. Without any doubt, the temple on the drawing is the Meenakshi tempel in Madurai, Tamil Nadu in South India. I recognised the site because I have been at the tempel in 1996 and 2000. |
