2002 Winter Olympic Flame
On 07 January 2002, the Winter Olympic Flame passed through Ann Arbor on it's way to Salt Lake City, Utah. Even though it was cold and drizzling, I couldn't pass up this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the flame in person. So starting at 7:30a, there I was standing on the side of Washtenaw Ave in SE Ann Arbor. I and everyone else waited for the flame for nearly 2 hours. Finally, around 10:00a, the trucks pulled up and the grand spectacle began.
Luckily, I was able to borrow a digital camera from work for the occasion. Below are the few pictures I took of the event.
