The largest structure still in tact is the main mine shaft. Large enough to lower equipment down below where needed. Built into the hillside like everything else, I wonder how many years this beast will continue to stand.
A shot looking up the canyon. The lower left is where the hotel used to stand. Here, a shot looking down the canyon. The two pics were taken from the same area. How 300 people lived and worked up in this small area here is amazing to me.
Heading back before it got too late. It would have been nice to be able to spend more time up there. Heading down the road back down, we decided to take a photo. That's me, by my split, and Johns Synchro up ahead. The lake in the background showed up after the floods of 1984, and never went away.
