Spider-Man 2 was definitely a sequel that was looked forward to. I mean c'mon, the first one made over $400 million. This movie delivered on its high expectations. The action is stepped up from its predecessor, as the fights with Doctor Octopus are spectacular. What I got out of this movie though, was the story. This movie really gets into what it means for Peter Parker to be Spider-Man. He's trying to lead a normal life while also being a superhero. Emotional conflict abounds. Several big discoveries are made by the characters, and the ending leaves an opening big enough for a sequel truck to drive through. Spider-Man 2 will be released on DVD on November 30. |
