You and your group have been given two different streams/rivers.

·                   You are going to see what effect normal flow is than see what the watershed is; (I recommend you look that term up!!!)

·                   You will also see what different angles do to affect the flow.

You are to duplicate these streams in your table.

·                   Duplicate this pattern as closely as possible

·                   Your water is flowing from the top of the picture downward

Before you start your water flow, draw it out; don’t copy the diagram! Your system will be different!! You are using sands and gravels, which will cause slight differences.

Do not run the water until you notify me!!!

You will start at the normal incline; then increase it twice by 10 degrees by pushing the brace inward.  Please record your measurements. (Use the provided protractor)

After each trial, stop and record your results; this included drawings of any changes in the configuration of the stream.

This means you will have 6 trials;

·                   Original angle for sample river 1

·                   Increased angle by 10 degrees of sample river 1

·                   Increased angle by another 10 degrees of sample river 1

Do the same for sample river 2

You are to compile your results and prepare your lab report explaining them using your given terms applied to your results.
