| The summer after I graduated from high school was the best summer of my life. First, I went to Hawaii with my Girl Scout troop as our final trip together. When I came back from Hawaii, I had about three days to recoup from jet lag before my dad and I left for our 6 week long baseball road trip. The trip was a baseball fan's dream come true. We went to 17 different ballparks, saw 19 games, and made two related side trips--Cooperstown and Field of Dreams. We also did a lot of sight seeing in the different cities. We took lots of pictures and, instead of writing in a journal, we took along a small audio recorder to remind us of the trip! We recorded approximately every 3 hours (except when we were sleeping) and if something extraordinary happened, we chimed in with a special report. |
