And this has been an INCREDIBLE card so far... and it's looking like it will only get better! Think about it... the Weapons are out to win the match.... The Children are out to HURT you! Even if Kensake and Turner win the match... they're going to lose the war! This is going to be a superb matchup - both men use the scenario of a power wrestler and an aerial daredevil as their team basis. However, where the Weapons have a much larger power wrestler in the seven foot two Toshiro Kensake, while Zach Rierson tends to have less regard for his body when flying than "Gunslinger" Glenn Turner. Well, that can work both for you and against you... One big aerial move can seal the match for you, or it can lose the match for you. I predict that it will come down to one of the aerialists hitting the less mobile power men. If Kenshiro or Dan get pounded by one of those high-flying attacks, we're going to see a 1,2,3. And it appears we're starting with the two powermen tonight, as Dan Rierson and Toshiro Kensake look set to hook it up. Wayne Winans is the referee in the ring tonight, and both men start off with a collar and elbow tieup, and DID YOU SEE THAT!?!? Kensake shoving the 6'7" Rierson into the corner as if he was a rag doll. I gotta admit... this is a good start! They need to stay mad... need to stay pissed off! The Weapons need to prove that they are more than absentee champions, and tonight is the night! They tie it up again, and both men are fighting to gain a strength advantage in there, and this time they both break it off center ring. Dan Rierson was ready that time, and he's not backing down from the former Dai Kaiju one inch. That was a good usage of height there by Rierson... Dan has a lower center of gravity, and he managed to get Toshiro to lean in to him in such a way that Toshiro's height was a DISADVANTAGE... that's good counter-wrestling! They move in for a third try, and this time Dan with a kick to the stomach stuns Toshiro, and now Dan with a right to the face...that has absolutely no effect. Yeah... get mad! It's time to see a fight! Kensake rears back with a HARD knife-edge chop that sends Dan straight up, and ANOTHER one backs him up to the ropes, here comes Zach, and now *HE* gets chopped, Toshiro grabs both men by the hair and just rams their heads together! I'd think that a brawl would work in the favor of C-O-A, but the Japanese Goliath is holding off BOTH brothers! Toshiro now scoops Dan into a bodyslam, and he keeps a hold of an arm and a leg, and spins into a giant swing that tosses Rierson right back into his corner. Dan reaching up for the tag, and Zach takes one look at that monster and decides *laughs* that he doesn't quite want to come in yet! Now THAT'S smart... don't play the game THEIR way, Dan! Make 'em play it YOUR way. Dan grabbing his brother and forcing the issue now, as Kensake stands there, smiling yet focused. Zach and Toshiro now slowly circling each other waiting for an opening, and Kensake charges, but Zach ducks down into a kick to the leg of the big Osaka native. Classic Little-Man-Fighting-Big-Man strategy - cut down Kensake's mobility, and Zach can have a field day! Chop block by Zach, and that wobbles Kensake a little bit, and now Zach tries for a sliding dropkick, but Kensake lifts his leg and Zach slides right into a stomp by Toshiro Kensake! Zach sits up from the force of it, and Kensake follows up with a sweep kick right to the back of Zach's head. GREAT martial arts move by the big man, and Zach is clutching the back of his head in agony! Kensake now lifting Zach HIGH into a vertical suplex, and he tags Glenn Turner WHILE HOLDING ZACH UPRIGHT! That takes power *and* balance, and now Turner off the top with a bodypress as Kensake finishes the suplex!!! Great move, count of TWO...two only, as Zach kicks out. This is good now... but just wait until CoA get the motor running! They don't know what to expect from guys that RAN AWAY from the fed rather than defend their belts, and that's the only reason why the Weapons are winning! Dropkick by Turner, and ANOTHER one sends Zach flying, Turner now dropkicks DAN off the apron, and Turner misses with another one on Zach, went to the well once too many, and Zach with a springboard legdrop on the prone "Gunslinger", and he tags out to big brother Dan. Possible mistake by C-O-A - people seem to think of Turner as a weak link, but I think Zach could have capitalized on a less mobile Turner better than his brother. Dan now with a thrust kick that sprawls Turner in the corner, he now sets him up in powerbomb position, and lift him and runs...Turner goes up and over him, and he runs face first into a Kensake boot!!! Dan staggers back, and Turner rolls him up sunset flip style, one, two, and that was a close one, but the teamwork of the World Tag Team champions there was UNCANNY! And that cheating was UNCALLED FOR! These guys are supposed to be fan favorites, but they're BLATANTLY flaunting the rules! Both men are up now, and Dan 360's Turner with a charging clothesline. Now a VERY angry Dan Rierson stomping a proverbial mudhole into "Gunslinger" Glenn Turner, before tagging out to Zach. Both men now sending Turner to the ropes, and Dan grabs him in a bearhug as Zach comes off the other side with a bulldog clothesline, and C of A showing they're no slouches in the teamwork department themselves. And they're back in before the 10 count! See, not only do these guys kick ass, but they follow the rules! They're role models! Don't they want to work towards bringing about the end of the world or something? Ummm... ummm... this is America! Freedom of religion! Yeah... that's it! Zach going for the cover, count of one, count of two, and that's it. Zach with a punt kick that doubles Turner over, followed by a leg driver DDT. Zach is SO quick in there, I'm scared of how good this kid is gonna be in a couple of years! Turner now on the mat clutching HIS forehead from the force of that blow! Though they are effective, C-O-A isn't focusing their attack on one body part. That could be a function of their inexperience, and it could haunt them! Tag in to Dan, the Children of Apocalypse getting the quick tag sequences going now, and Zach just slingshotted Glenn Turner right into Dan's clothesline. Wait, Turner ducks, and he just springboarded back onto both men with a bodypress! And he doesn't try the pin, but instead rolls and tags the big man in on his side! Kensake levelling both brothers Rierson with savate kicks, and now Toshiro Kensake sends Dan for the ride, and a yakuza kick levels him. He turns to Zach, and he's GOT HIM BY THE THROAT...OOH, but Dan comes from behind with a low blow, and Zach grabs Kensake's head and RUNS UP THE TURNBUCKES FOR A TWISTING CRAVAT BULLDOG!!!! And one has to note that C-O-A has managed to neutralize BOTH of the Weapons at one stage or another so far - win, lose, or draw, this is an impressive putting for the Riersons! Both men now laying boots to the fallen Toshiro Kensake as if there was no tomorrow, both men are angry and a little frustrated at this point. Zach now leaving the ring as Dan comes off the ropes with a big legdrop. Back up, and back down with another legdrop, and a THIRD, and Dan now gets on the second rope and comes off with a kneesmash right to the knee of Kensake! Hey, who says the Riersons are a stereotypical big man - little man team? Watch... any minute now, Zach is gonna give Kensake a thunder-fire powerbomb, and it'll all be over! Ummm, no. Tag now to Zach, and now a combination knee clip/sidewalk slam, and the strength of Dan Rierson apparent as he managed to get the 7 foot plus, 400 plus pound body of Kensake off of the mat. Off the mat, and laid out on the mat! Excellent, excellent manuevering by the Children there! Zach now has the legs of Toshiro Kensake, and he just let loose with a legdrop right into the chopsticks, and the referee getting into Zach's face about it...now wait a minute, Dan just grabbed Toshiro's legs and pulled him HARD into the ringpost, and Dan following up by smashing Toshiro's knee into the post, and that was the same knee that Zach clipped a few seconds ago. Let the systematic dismantling of Godzilla there begin! First his knees, then his tail, then we get rid of his fire breath, and then... umm, never mind. Took that metaphor a bit too far Dan now holding those legs out as Zach climbs the ropes...and he just splashed right onto Kensake's knees. That was about ten feet off of the ground, and the last I checked, those legs don't bend that way! The Riersons so far completely dominating the big man in a way I haven't seen in a long time, Zach tagging Dan, and Dan trying to get the big man up in a piledriver...AND HE DOES, SPIKED PILEDRIVER, and Dan with the cover, we have one, we have two, we ALMOST had three, Kensake hanging on by a thread. Turner WAS in to make the save... but it's amazing that it actually WASN'T needed there! Dan pulling Kensake to his feet, going for an abdominal stretch, and adding a rear chinlock to it, making it a stretch plum. The referee checking on Kensake, and Kensake refusing to tap on this one. That's amazing - look at the veins in Kensake's neck bulging from that hold! It HAS to be painful, and every moment in it has to be AGONY! Look at Kensake, he's practically shaking in the ring right now! Dan having a hard time holding him, and he ends up hiptossed out of the stretch plum by the former Dai Kaiju! Kensake slow to get up, he's trying to get to his corner, meanwhile, Dan tags out, and Zach with a knee clip... *CROWD POP* AND KENSAKE FALLS FORWARD RIGHT INTO THE TAG!!! That's what being 7' + will do to a person! Yeah... that and signing a contract you damn shouldn't have will get you beaten down by the C-O-A! Zach with a kick to the face, and now he sends Turner for the ride, Turner ducks the leg lariat, off the other side, and a FLYING CLOTHESLINE BY TURNER LEVELS THE YOUNGER RIERSON!!!! DAN RIERSON JUST RAN INTO A PISSED OFF JAPANESE GIANT, as he just LEVELED Rierson with a chop to the chest! Zach takes a chop now, and now Kensake has Dan backed into a corner, and he cuts loose with a flurry of chops that echo through the arena, dear GOD, do you see those handprints on Dan's chest? I think the pain etched all over Dan's grimacing face says it just as well! Kensake now sending Dan for the ride as Turner is stunned on the outside, and a HIGH backdrop brings Dan down...wait, Zach coming from behind, and a jumping spin kick....and will you look at that, Kensake is SMILING at Zach! Zach backing up...but to no avail, KENSAKE HAS HIM BY THE THROAT!!! *CROWD POP* Going UP.....KENSAKE CHOKESLAMS HIM TO THE CONCRETE!!!!!! DEAR LORD IN HEAVEN, ZACH PRACTICALLY *BOUNCED* OFF OF THE RINGSIDE FLOOR!!! Bounced off of the floor... now he's writhing outside the ring... I don't know if he'll make it back to this match The Children of Apocalypse have awakened Godzilla, and he's ready to breathe fire! He grabs Dan, hooks him into a full nelson, and LIFTS HIM HIGH!! THIS IS A SUBMISSION MOVE!!! Dan is flailing up there, as Kensake is adding the force for all he is worth..and he SITS DOWN RIGHT INTO THE FULL NELSON, and it jars Dan on the mat! GREAT chained move there by the big man, and the momentum is now solidly with the Weapons! Zach now on the apron trying to climb the top rope, and Turner pulling him down to the outside, and now they're getting into it. Meanwhile, in ring, Kensake with a gutwrench powerbomb, and his shoulders are down..we have one, WE HAVE TWO....THAT WAS TOO CLOSE!!! You have to give the Weapons credit - they take their beatings, and are giving back just as hard! ZACH JUST DELIVERED THE TWISTING CRAVAT BULLDOG ON THE CONCRETE!!! TURNER IS DOWN, as Kensake PLANTS Dan with a samauraiplex....and he's climbing the ropes!!! And Good Lord... THE ROPES AREN'T CRASHING DOWN OUTRIGHT! Folks, you are about to witness the biggest moonsault in wrestling, the Rising Sun, if you will...and Zach with a shot to the leg of Kensake, and Toshiro wobbles. And weebles... and wobbles... and weebles... and wobbles... but he just WON'T FALL DOWN! Maybe so but the distraction paid off, Dan with a Golota onto Toshiro..and Zach springboarding OFF THE ROPES TO SPIKE THE POWERBOMB WITH A FLYING NECKBREAKER!!!! THAT'S CALLED THINKING ON THE FLY... A variation of Full Redemption, and Dan Rierson manages to put the big man down!!! A SPECTACULAR improvisation by the Riersons leading to a near-guaranteed 1,2,3. Folks, I will GUARANTEE you that the Weapons will be getting their title rematch in short order, they're entitled to it, and they have not a damn thing to be ashamed of tonight, cause they fought hammer and tongs.
