I tell ya, Cross...they should think about changing the title of this pay-per view from "Snowbrawl" to "GOOFbrawl" considering who's been winning so far! Those dim-witted slackers, the Wave Runners, held onto the North American Tag belts. Nick Rierson walks out, alone, in his normal wrestling gear) At least now we're going to see a match between two men with respectable levels of intelligence...or at least as intelligent as a Texan can get. Folks, we've got a Bunkhouse Brawl up next, but apparently either Nick Rierson didn't read the contract or he just doesn't understand what the concept of a Bunkhouse match is - he looks as if he's dressed for a normal match. Or maybe he's just more comfortable wrestling in his normal wrestling attire, Cross. There's no rule that says you *have* come to a Bunkhouse Brawl match dressed in jeans and cowboy boots...although you might as well forget about any rules being followed in this kind of match. Especially considering the heat between the Rierson clan and Ty Kross and his buddies. Some big issues growing between the camps of the Children of Apocalypse and the newly reformed Apocalypse Unlimited. Mr. Wrestling IV, Ty Kross and Nathan Stormcatcher have banded together to re-establish AU in the federation where it all got started. It's a valliant effort to re-establish Apocalypse Unlimited, Cross, but one I think will fall short. Kross and Mr. Wrestling IV aren't quite the wrestlers they were back in the day. Stormcatcher is a nice piece of talent, but I don't quite see him playing the same kind of role or having the same impact as Barry Bromowitz or William the Conqueror did in their EWF days. Rierson now grabbing a chair from ringside and bringing it in with him - remember folks, all of that is legal in a Bunkhouse Brawl... come as you are, bring what you can, hurt people. ("The Man I Used to Be" by Clint Black plays on the PA as Ty Kross walks out wearing a t-shirt, jeans, and cowboy boots, and holding a branding iron) And here comes a man that knows his way around a bunkhouse, the big Texan, Ty Kross. He's grown up around them all his life, he's had his fair share of saloon scuffles, and this match is just the kind of match he wanted. This match certainly favors his old-school style of brawling and power wrestling, but Nick Rierson has an equally deadly combination of strength and agility. And he's been known to take a few liberties with the rules as well. Kross a former top contender to the EWC World title back in the days of Grim Weibaq, now he's back and he was the first one to face off against the C of A, he's already got one win over Nick Rierson, and RIERSON NOT EVEN WAITING FOR THE BELL TO CHARGE IN WITH THE CHAIR, but Kross gets his foot up, and the chair goes right into Rierson's face! And Rierson already with a rookie mistake. If you're going to charge your opponent with a chair, do it when he has his back turned. He came right at Kross head-on, Kross saw it coming and got the big Texas boot up, and Nick wound up eating that chair. Kross firing right hands across the skull of Rierson, and now Kross following up up with a whip to the ropes, and a BIIIG BOOT right to the chin, and Rierson's on his back! Kross giving Rierson the "Thank you sir, may I have another?" treatment with that boot. Kross laying that booth right in the mush, and I'm not quite sure if it was the kick itself that knocked Rierson out or a combination of the blow and the smell of where that boot's been! Rierson getting to his feet, and Kross with a clothesline that takes both men over the top!!! Kross grabbing Rierson, and a whip towards the steps REVERSED BY RIERSON, AND KROSS GOES CRASHING INTO THE STEPS! This match is nothing more than a brawl in its early stages, which is just how Kross wants it. If it stays a brawl, Rierson has a tough row to hoe. If he can turn it back in to a wrestling match, Rierson has a better shot at winning because he's by far the better wrestler of the two. Rierson laying the boots on, trying to get the wind out of Kross enough to get some wind back himself. Rierson now grabbing the steps themselves, but KROSS WITH A NUTSHOT, and Rierson drops the steps! And that, folks, is legal in this match. And something Rierson needs to remember, too. He has to remember that he *can* get away with the chokes and low blows and whatever taboos he can break. Kross with a double leg trip now, and he hooks the legs and falls back into a slingshot, and Nick Rierson is sent tumbling over the guardrail into the crowd. Kross obviously remembers the beating he took at the hands of the Rierson brothers not all that long ago. He set up this match for one reason and only one reason, and that was for revenge. And so far it's been all Texan. Kross taking off that big leather belt of his and he follows Nick Rierson into the crowd, and Kross is whipping Rierson with the belt! *Crowd Pop* And that big thick leather is starting to bring welts up on the back of Rierson! Well, there's one disadvantage of not coming dressed for the match, I suppose. Nick's back is pretty much unprotected from those belt whips, and his back's showing the hurt. Kross now choking Rierson with the belt, and this may not be the best way to model behavior to the kids, he's certainly being true to the spirit of a bunkhouse match. Well, I don't think Kross or any members of AU have ever claimed to be role models. Their bottom line, just like everyone else's, is winning. And this being a bunkhouse match, you can take as many liberties as you want, and Kross not afraid to use a few. Ty now hooking the belt behind it, and he uses it to snapmare Nick Rierson back over into the ringside area! Kross coming over and he lays some more of those size 14 cowboy boots into the head and body of Rierson. Kross doing a very good job in just beating Rierson down and keeping him on his back. Aside from that one whip reversal into the ring steps, Rierson hasn't been able to mount any offense at all. Kross now grabbing the ring steps for his own purposes, and RIERSON CHARGES FORWARD, he took out the legs of Kross, and Kross fell forward head first into the steps! Devastating move by Nick Rierson And Kross' forehead hit flush on those steps, Cross! I don't know if that was truly a desperation move on the part of Nick Rierson, but he had to do something to turn the tide of this battle, and sure enough, he dove for the legs of the Ace, and it worked! Rierson now hammerlocks Kross, looks like a version of a windmill suplex and it IS, BACKFIRST ONTO THE STEEL STEPS!!! And that's the first real wrestling move we've seen all match, and it comes from the youngster, Nick Rierson! And I think that one move did more damage to Kross than all the stomping, kicking and whipping did to Nick! Rierson now rolling Kross into the ring, and Kross is holding his back from that suplex, and I don't blame him. More stomps in the ring now by Rierson on the small of Kross' back, and he rolls out and grabs Ty's belt from the outside, and now Rierson lashing that leather across the back of the big Texan! I think this is more of a humiliaiton tactic than an attempt to do much damage. Those belt shots are stinging, but I'm sure the shirt The Ace is wearing is absorbing a bit of the blows, unlike Nick who had his whole back completely exposed. Rierson now looping the belt through the buckle and wrapping it around Kross' throat...and he TOSSES HIM OVER THE TOP AND HANGS HIM!!!! Why bring your own weapons, I guess, when you can use your opponents? And Rierson showing the veteran Texan the *right* way to use a belt in a bunkhouse match! Welts will leave you marked up for a while, but you'll win the match faster if you cut off your opponent's air supply. Rierson finally lets go of Kross, and Ty gets the belt off around his THROAT..NICK RIERSON JUST HIT A BASEBALL SLIDE DROPKICK ON KROSS, AND NOW KROSS IS ON OUR TABLE!!! Oh boy....uh...you better get in front of me, Cross. I want you to have the best view of this.... Rierson now backing up again...SPRINGBOARD FROG SPLA *bbbzzzt* (Shot of Rierson sending Kross through the table with the springboard frog splash, and the two announcers backing up as the table splinters) Are we still on? Live? Rierson just decimated both Ty Kross AND our table! Apparently this is not a good night to be a table! We're only three matches into this pay per view. First the Spanish announcers table, now ours. I hate to see what else is going to get broken before the night is over! Rierson now rolling a limp Ty Kross back into the ring, and this is the most in control we have seen ANYONE be over Kross since "The Ace" returned to the EWC. Obviously Nick has made some adjustments from their first meeting, and he's also starting to use the "anything goes" stipulation for this bunkhouse match to his advantage, as evidenced by that splash through our table....can somebody get us another table out here? Rierson now in the ring and he's signaling for "Final Judgment", this is early in the match, but Kross looks almost unconsious in there, and Rierson NAILS the inverted brainbuster and he rolls over....count of one, COUNT OF TWO, COUNT OF THR...KROSS JUST *barely* kicks out of that! And how ironic is it that after all the brawling on the outside, the match almost came to a conclusion in the ring. Kross had to reach *way* back into his reserves to press Rierson off of him. Rierson staying on him now...fishermanbuster, and Kross getting dropped on his head like a fiend...we have one, WE HAVE TWO....and Kross again kicking out, and Rierson is visually frustrated right now. Well, he can't let his frustration get the best of him. He tried for the early finish, he didn't quite get it, now he needs to step back, regroup and come up with another offensive series. Rierson rolls Kross over onto his stomach, and he applies an STF! Rierson taking advanatage of damage to Kross' neck *AND* back in this hold. Or make Kross submit! Rierson showing some intelligence amid his frustration by opting for this STF. Rierson has it cinched in, he's not *QUITE* center ring, but Kross is in too much pain to capitalize. Kross is really getting worn down here, and refere Gerald Riley is in there checking to see if Kross is still conscious. Rierson really applying the pressure to the neck. He's got that forearm right across the jawbone, twisting and yanking back on that neck for all he's worth. The pain must be excruciating for Ty Kross. His arm drops once......twice......but not a third time, there isn't an OUNCE of quit in the big Texan. I'll give him credit for his tenacity. He figures the longer he can last, the more frustrated Rierson will get, which is just to his advantage. But he still has to get out of this hold first. Kross using his size to literally crawl and scrape his way to the ropes, and finally he gets there, and the referee pulling Rierson off of the fallen Kross. Rierson is NOT happy about this, and he kicks and stomps the neck and back of Kross some more. There's that frustration again. You gotta keep your cool, Nick! Gotta stick to wrestling here! Rierson locks his arms around the back of Ty Kross...GUTWRENCH POWERBOMB, and now Rierson rolls out of the ring and grabs that chair he had earlier. And Rierson not letting his frustration get the best of him, keeping focused on his opponent, hitting him hard and hitting him often. I must say I'm impressed with the level of maturity Nick has shown so far for someone of his experience. He lays the chair on the canvas...and stands with his arms in cross position. He's going to give him "Final Judgment" on the steel chair! He's wasting too much time, Cross! That posing was only for five seconds, but that's five seconds longer the Ace had to recover. And every fraction of a second is invaluable in this sport. Rierson hooking the head in position...Kross turns around to go face down...LIFTS RIERSON UP AND STUNGUNS HIM ON THE TOP ROPE! *crowd pop* Did I tell ya or did I tell ya? One move like that and all the momentum Rierson built up has just come to a screeching halt. But can Kross capitalize on this? He's taken a horrible beating in this matchup, Rierson up first, and he fires a right onto Kross, BUT KROSS FIRES RIGHT BACK, and we've got a pier six in the ring right now. Kross forcing Nick backwards with the force of the punches, and now Kross comes off the ropes with a HARD charging forearm, and Nick goes down! Kross unloading with the right hands, getting his second wind back. You can bet he's not going to waste this second chance. Kross with an irish whip, and Nick goes crashing into the corner... and now Kross is on the ropes and is firing hard rights at Nick! [Crowd] 1.....2.......3.........4.........5........6.......7........8........9..........10! Kross now with some more punches, and a BIIIIG windup punch that takes Nick out of his boots!!! Kross measuring now....goes for the lariat, but Nick ducks, goes behind, FULL NELSON BULLDOG INTO THE TURNBUCKLE!!! And both men are down! And now Rierson with the momentum stopper! Maybe we should change this match to Last Man Standing rules, because I don't see these guys keeping this up much longer. Kross is stunned in the corner as Nick grabs the chair and charges... and AGAIN Kross getting that foot up in time, and Nick goes headfirst into his own chair!!!! And now Kross just grabbed the branding iron! Well, fool you once, shame on me. Fool you twice, shame on you! Nick better come up with something else to use besides that chair. Kross has turned it against him every single time! And I have a feeling I know where that branding iron is gonna go.... Kross measures his shot...BAM, right on the head of Nick Rierson! And now Kross bringing that branding iron down across the body of Nick Rierson, again and agai...oh dear lord, he just drove the branding end right into Nick's family jewels! Yep, he went there. And I wouldn't be surprised if he turns Rierson around and tries shoving that branding iron up ol' #2. Nick is down and in pain, and Kross sets up the chair center ring... he grabs Nick Rierson, and brings him down RIGHT ONTO THE CHAIR WITH A HARD POWERBOMB!! Again that chair proves bad luck for Nick Rierson! Speaking of chairs, we're still without a table out here! What's taking those ring crew flunkies so long? I'm getting tired of bending over to see this monitor.... He goes for a cover, and *whump* this one *whump* is quite ov...RIERSON JUST *BARELY* gets a shoulder up at 2 and 99/100ths!!!! Both men really tired, Cross. All the Ace could do was pretty much fall across Rierson's body. Didn't have the strength or the wherewithal to hook a leg, otherwise this match would be over. Kross now picking him up, he's going for the West Texas Driver....Rierson slides down behind..."FINAL JUDGEMENT!!!" *GREAT* counter by Rierson, and a cover...one....two...THREE!!! Rierson pulls that one out of his...well, rear, son. It doesn't matter where he pulled it out from. A win by any other name is still a win, and Nick Rierson has evened the score with Ty Kross by beating the Texan at his own game! It'll be interesting to see if the momentum of Nick's win will carry over to his brothers, Zach and Dan, as they challenge for the World Tag Team titles later in the evening. Kross never gave up, he never surrendered, he took the Final Judgment once, but he couldn't stand up a second time. But you can bet in a HEARTBEAT that the war between AU and the C of A is far from over!!! WHERE THE HELL'S OUR TABLE???
