CAPTION: Adrienne Solo Dr. Anthony Strange AS: Adrienne Solo here along with the one and only Dr. Anthony Strange, and folks, we've got a GREAT show in store for you tonight, NINE matches, five titles on the line..it's going to be something. DrS: And don't forget, within the half hour of this free preview, we will have a special match between Titus Moongarden and "The Philosopher" Mikhail Tzskova, and there's a lot of bad blood held there. AS: Doctor, let's talk first, however, about the World title match tonight. On paper, one of the hardest hitting shootfighters in the business vs. one of the craziest high flyers. Both loved dearly by the fans. However, there is an undercurrent of bad blood between these two that has been stirred by the apparent bitterness of one Ernie Grend.... ("The Unforgiven" by Metallica starts to play over the speakers, as Dan and Zach Rierson make there way to the ring in black jeans and t-shirts. Both grab mics from ring side) DrS: This is very peculiar....The Rierson brothers are not even scheduled to be here tonight... AS: What reason could they have... [Zach] You know, tonight is the big EWC pay-per-view with the 3 way match between our master, TR Parker, and Mark Davidson. But that's not the only big match tonight. Among all of them are the 4 way match for the tag straps. Fuego will face off against Ernie Grendel for the world title. Bill Curtis will defend his belt against Chris Monroe in a cage. Yet, among all of this we didn't make it on the ppv. We didn't even make on the Free For All. [Dan] Somehow we don't think this is right. We've wrestled week after week for this fed, beating such names as TR Parker and Joshua Collins. Yet we don't get a title shot, we don't even get on the Pay-per-view. We've been ignored by the champs for the last three weeks. Well no more ignoring. [Zach] We've come to the conclusion that everyone in the EWC doesn't want to see s as the tag champs. So we're gonna have to find somebody to face. Tonight we challenge anyone in the city, I mean anyone, we don't care who you are, how big you are, ANYONE, to get into this ring with us tonight! So whether all you people in the back like it or not, we will have a match on this ppv. And sooner or later, we'll get our title shot. (They throw down the mikes as "Unforgiven" plays again on the speakers) AS: And that was an open challenge to ANYONE..not just in the arena, but in the CITY, to fight the COA. DrS: That's a gutsy call from the disciples of Sebastian Sloan....but their win/loss record as of late is nothing less than extraordinary as a tag team, and you have to think that a tag title match is coming for them somewhere down the line. But they need to be a little more patient, I think.... As the camera gets closer, he drops the needle and thread, and faces the camera.} [Tzskova] Winning and losing is all in the mind. When a third party raises the hand of the victor at the end of an event, who is to know that man is TRULY the winner? What is victory? Does victory only mean the raising of the hand, or something else? Allow me to teach you something, devoted ones. This is a free lesson, for normally you need to understand the trueness of the Final Word before I impart this knowledge to you, but I believe you, as people of the Light, need to know. Victory is a fleeting affair. It lasts but for a split second, and the meaning is soon lost. It is better to not be victorious and have a lasting impact than to win and have none. The announcers comment on what Mikhail did to Dr. Feelgood on the most recent LotR. Mikhail comes to the announcers table, lightly strokes the sash, and lays it down, saying "Another converted one" with a wicked smile. Strange gets off a comment about how Tzskova is treating that sash like Mr. Bigglesworth. Soul Coughing's funky beat fills the arena, and the camera focuses on the empty entryway. Adrienne talks about Titus' repeated tardiness right before his matches. Finally, Titus appears in the entryway, mic in hand, and addresses the crowd.... [Titus] Hey, folks... how's it going? OK, first, I need to apo... And that's all the further it got as Tzskova rolled out of the ring and BARRELED towards Moongarden with a spear. He then grabbed his right leg and started ramming it into the steel ramp. Tzskova then pulls Moongarden up, grabs the right leg...and dragon screws him off the ramp about five feet down to the arena floor. Moongarden looks REALLY out of it, and as Tzskova stands up and starts to go after him.... AS: And Moongarden is REALLY hurt down there, he may have a broken leg from the fall.. DrS: DR. FEELGOOD IN REFEREE'S CLOTHES!!! HE JUST HIT THE RING AREA AND THE FANS ARE GOING BERZERK!! HE'S GOT BERTHA!! AS: And just like that Tzskova's down and down hard. Feelgood teeing off on the body of "The Philosopher" and this is getting REALLY ugly... DrS: Feelgood is in a knee brace, he's a little wobbly, but he's got the advantage...WRECKING BALL CLOTHESLINE!! AS: And medics are checking on Titus right now, but Dr. Feelgood is standing over the fallen body of Mikhail Tzskova ("Dr Feelgood" by Motley Crue kicks in) and I think Dr. Feelgood got "The Final Word" on his own disagreement with Mr. Tzskova. DrS: You better believe, however, that Titus Moongarden is nowhere NEAR finished with "The Philosopher"..this is only going to get worse before it gets better. ############################# # WINNER: No Contest. :44 # ############################# DrS: And the paramedics are getting Titus Moongarden to some medical attention here...wait a minute...you want me to WHAT!?!?! AS: Doc, what's going on. DrS: I've just been given a message from the head honcho. He wants me to go find a tag team for the Children of Apocalypse to fight. AS: You're kidding!! DrS: I'm not kidding...they want me to leave right away. I gotta go...can you finish up? AS: Uhhhh...sure, I guess..... ("It's Showtime" by David Lee Roth fills the arena and the fans jump to their feet as Roker Showtime walks deliberately down the isle, occasionally high fiving fans as he makes his way to the ring. Once in the ring, a mic is provided to Roker.) [Roker] Whether you like me, or you don't like me, you people know that I'm not the kind of guy who yanks people's chains. I'm going to say what I have to say and leave it at that. (Roker pauses, briefly looking at the ring mat before looking right into the camera.) [Roker] For years, Barry Bromowitz and myself went around hyping a match between two of the best technicians in the wrestling game. The idea was that Barry and I would get a chance to give you people the best technical match you've ever seen and go out at the top of our games. Well... Jon Owens had to spoil that by jumping me from behind like the coward he is. (Roker pauses, looking visibly upset.) [Roker] So here we are... in a submission match with a cage surrounding us. The ironic part about that is not only does that keep the rest of the locker room out, but it keeps you IN. All I ever wanted was to prove myself... man to man. Tonight, that's exactly what I get to do. Owens.. you spoiled my retirement match and sucked me back in! Well tonight... you don't get that chance because I'm not quitting until AFTER the bell rings! Fans, let's run down this incredible card... *Stills of each wrestler are shown from each end* For the EWC World heavyweight championship, Fuego will be facing Ernie Grendel in what could be one for the highlight reels. The big questions here are how angry is Fuego after that assault from Grendel..and how far will Ernie go to win the championship? The co-main event will be a STEEL CAGE SUBMISSION MATCH between E-wrestling legend Roker Showtime and the man that has been a thorn in Roker's side since the rebirth of the EWC, one Jon Owens. There will also be a FOUR WAY ELIMINATION MATCH for the World Tag Team Title...as champions Weapons of Last Resort face the 3 way challenge of Beyond Our Control, Frozen Hell, and Siouxnami... and the bad blood in this one could keep the Red Cross going for months. in a RETURN MATCH from Slamrock...in fact, the match that many said stole the show...Bill Curtis puts the EWC LH belt against Chris Monroe inside the steel cage Also, in what is being billed as the TRIPLE THREAT for the TRIPLE CROWN, Damien Omega, Dr. Destructo, and "Nuclear" Nick Duncan put, respectively, the North American championship, the now-defunct IeWS title belt, and the "Starbucks" belt up for grabs...one pinfall takes it all. The finals of the Cut 'n Shoot Heritage Tournament will be held here, a scant few miles away from Cut 'n Shoot itself, as Grant Harrison and "Crazy" Jay Gillette battle it out in a "Died with their boots on" Match...Someone gets tossed in the grave, they have a 10 count to get out or they lose.
