[Cut to the locker room where a plucky young man is standing by with Jon Owens.] [PYM] Hello everyone, Ryan from EWC.com with Jon Owens. Jon, any comments on tonight's big submission match with Roker Showtime. [Owens] Showtime, last week you were yelling "THIS IS MY HOUSE! THIS IS MY HOUSE!" That's fine and dandy, but tonight, you're getting evicted. I am not worried about this match. I've been in rings surrounded by more dangerous things than a simple cage. I've been in the ring with more deadly submission experts than you. The fact is I plan on ending the legend tonight Showtime. Other veterans got smart. They got out of the business before they had to face someone like me. Tonight I am going to show you the error of your ways. I am not content with just hurting your leg. I intend on dropping you on your head and breaking that stack of dimes you call a neck. Pack your bags Roker, because after you tap, you're getting thrown out of _MY_ house. [Owens pushes the microphone back into Ryan's chest and heads off camera.] @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ ("El Phantasmo" by White Zombie starts playing and the fans are booing every second of it) Folks, we are back, and it's getting hot in here as Jon Owens is making his way down to the ring..Doc, what about those comments Roker made in the free for all earlier....*could* this be Roker's last match? Well, I think Owens certainly wants to try and make it so, but the question is, if Owens wins, will Roker want to retire on a note like that? I *do* know that these two absolutely hate each other, and in the cage, no one's going to be running from anything. My heavens, look at the intensity in the eyes of Owens. Folks, this is a submission match, pinfalls do not count...loser either submits or passes out ("It's Showtime" comes on and the crowd erupts as sparklers and fireworks go off on the entryway) LISTEN TO THIS CROWD!!!! I think they sense something special is about to happen here. I think you're right, Showtime on his way down to the ring here, not really smiling to anyone, incredibly focused. Roker in the ring now and Owens charges him with a knee to the gut that backs him up into the corner, followed by several kicks to the lower leg of Showtime. And those kicks are centered around that knee that was focused on a week or two ago on Lords of the Ring. Owens now sending Roker for a ride.. Roker REVERSES and sends Owens back into the same corner, and ROKER EXPLODING WITH FIVE FURIOUS FOREARM UPPERCUTS TO THE FACE OF OWENS, and Roker sends him for a ride to the opposite buckle, and Roker Stinger splashes Owens right into the back!!! Roker waiting for Owens to come out....CHOP BLOCK TO THE RIGHT LEG!!! And Roker now laying all sorts of kicks to that leg, Roker *REALLY* going for broke here. Question is out there, is this Roker's last match? He's certainly wrestling like it is. Roker pulling Owens out of the corner leg first, and is dropping fast knees right to the knee of Owens...OOH, and a vicious kick by Owens right to the face of Showtime to back him off. Owens getting up, but that right knee is a little tender at the moment... Roker up and charges in with a shoulderblock that drops Owens right on his face, and SHOWTIME TRYING TO HOOK IN THE STF, but Owens kicks him away when he tries to lock the stepover toehold. Roker not letting up at all..dragging Owens by the bad leg to the ropes, and draping it on the bottom rope.. Roker with a drop knee to the leg, and another one...OOH, that was close. Roker going with a jumping double stomp to the extended leg that would have *certainly* broken it, but Owens pulls the leg away..and Owens crawling to the center of the ring as Roker grabs that knee...and posthole's it to the mat!!! And Roker *again* going for the STF, but this time Owens is too close to the ropes, and he scrambles to get there before Roker cinches it in. Roker not stopping there, he's got the leg again.. OWENS WITH A BOOT RIGHT INTO ROKER'S GROIN!!!! I think he was going for a blind kickaway, and it found the mark somewhere tender. And Owens now trying to get up, but the knee is giving under him at the moment. That knee has been through some wars over in Japan, I think did his homework there. Roker dives for the knee again, but Owens with the presence of mind to dodge Roker..and a big elbowdrop to Roker's back slows the momentum of the former multiple World champion. Owens doing something very smart here, he's riding on the back of Showtime, getting off of his knee, but still forcing Roker to wear himself out...front facelock, and he rides back, sitting on Roker's back, and he gets a boston crab in, only he's quite literally sitting on Roker's back. Roker too close to the ropes, tho, and Owens had to break the hold. Owens tries to stand again, he has a *bit* better leverage...but not when Roker forearms the back of the knee. Roker on his feet, BULLDOG to the canvas. Roker now has that leg in front of him, possibly going for a figure four...Owens kicks him off, Roker off the ropes, jumps over the prone Owens, Owens up, Roker with a THESZ PRESS...OWENS CATCHES HIM...but the knee gives and he falls with Roker on top of him. And ROKER WITH RAPID FIRE RIGHT HANDS ON THE FALLEN OWENS!!! This is a very personal match here, Roker and Owens with a deep hatred of one another. Roker finally getting off of Owens, and tries to turn him over into a boston crab... and it's hooked!!! Referee Mason Crow asking Owens if he submits, and Owens is saying hell no. Owens is trying to force out of it...AND HE DOES!!! MY HEAVENS, PUSHES UP OUT OF THE BOSTON CRAB!!! And he sent Roker flying FACE FIRST into that cage, Roker bounced off and he's down now. Owens getting to his feet and starting to walk off the effects of Roker's early attack here....Roker *is* bleeding, that cage drew blood on Roker, and Owens raking his bootlaces across the head of Roker to get more blood going. And as sick as that sounds, that is sound strategy... you can't see, you can't fight. Owens now with a KICK RIGHT TO THE FACE OF ROKER!!!!!! And he just spit on Showtime! That's disgusting, as Owens starting to get his ground a little better...he picks Roker up to his knees and fires a right hand into the bloody face of Showtime, and another..and now Owens on top of Showtime with that front facelock again. Isaac, this *could* become a submisson...I don't think Roker would tap to this, but if he applies enough pressure and forces enough blood out of Showtime, he could pass out from this. Not a great way to end a career, if, in fact, this is Showtime's last match. Owens now kneeling, and the grimace on his face is obvious, he's trying to force that knee of his to take some weight, otherwise his arsenal of suplexes won't be effective here. Showtime now showing some life, trying to force Owens up on his feet now... Showtime and Owens up not..OWENS WITH A DDT, and that ended that bit of offense right off the bat. Owens now up, he's picking up Showtime....GORILLA PRESS!!!!!! Owens showing off his strength and size advantage over Showtime.. OH MY!!! JAVELIN TOSS RIGHT INTO THE CAGE!!!!! AND THAT CAGE ALMOST MOVED A FOOT WHEN SHOWTIME HIT IT!!! Now Owens stomping on the bloody mess of a head that Showtime has right now. Owens picking him up, full nelson by Owens...FULL NELSON SUPLEX right on the head.. Owens rides over with it, and now has that full nelson square on the neck of Showtime, and the referee's right in there, talking to Roker and making sure he's still conscious, while asking him if he wants to submit. The blood is just *gushing* out of Showtime's head right now, as Owens is grinding Roker's face into the mat using the full nelson. This is a good setup for the STF, which Owens has used to get a submission out of Roker before. With a little help from a Curtis Stone chairshot, I remember. I agree, tho, Owens getting Roker to submit to the Showstopper would be something for Owens to remember. That would be humiliating for Roker..as now Owens is pulling Roker to his feet with the full nelson....ref checks the arm once.... checks the arm twice...... Roker's still up...Roker now trying to get to his feet. That won't be easy, he's holding close to 300 lbs of Jon Owens on his back. Roker is up...and ROKER'S BREAKING THE FULL NELSON!!! THE STRENGTH SHOWTIME IS SHOWING HERE is INCREDIBLE!!! Roker powering out of the hold, and Owens can't believe what he's seeing here... Roker's almost out of it...he's out...NO!!!! OWENS GRABS HIM AROUND THE WAIST AND TOSSES HIM OVER HIS HEAD!!!!! And that released German suplex killed Roker's momentum as Owens now standing over the fallen Showtime. Notice that Owens is *still* limping, I think that knee of his could be reinjured. Owens grabbing Roker's hair and raking his face across the cage, drawing more blood...Roker is a complete mess right now, as Owens turns Roker around...NORTHERN LIGHTS SUPLEX!!! And Roker is down, and he may be out, that suplex dropped him right onto his head. Owens now taking Roker's legs and locking on a boston cr...no, a liontamer!! And it's putting pressure right on that head and neck, the referee is right there, trying to hear Roker say "I Quit" or to see if Roker is passed out. Owens now letting go of a leg..and falling backwards.. STF!!!!! GOOD chain move by Owens, and Roker in his dazed state didn't see it coming...Owens has the Showstopper locked on and if Roker doesn't find a second wind soon, he's finished!!! Owens on his side where his good knee is, he has that locked on, Showtime *WILL NOT* submit, he's shaking his head no!!! Owens has that sucker locked on......and Roker looks like he's starting to go..... Ref checks his arm once...... twice............... ROKER'S STILL UP!!!! HE'S UP!!!! *crowd pop* Roker is still center ring with the STF on him...Owens pulling for dear life... Roker ..waitasecond, ROKER PUSHING UP!!!! NOW ROKER IS TRYING TO ROLL ONTO HIS BACK!!! This is close to 300 lbs that is on his back right now... Only partially, Owens isn't quite putting full weight on his right knee..and ROKER ROLLS OWENS OFF OF HIM!!!! HE GETS OWENS OFF BALANCE!!!! And Roker being VERY smart, crawling towards the ropes...but Owens right on Roker with a knee to the back . Owens now picking Roker up... ROKER YANKS OWENS INTO THE CAGE!!!!! *CROWD POP* COMPLETE DESPERATION MOVE BY SHOWTIME, as he yanked on Owens' trunks and bounced his head off the cage!!! And Owens is down. *Crowd chant of "RO-KER! RO-KER" Roker needs to capitalize on this somehow, Owens is stunned but he's in much better shape than Showtime at the moment. Owens is the first to his feet, boot to the face of Roker, now he's picking Roker up, sends him to the ropes, Roker DUCKS A CLOTHESLINE...ENZIGURI!!! AND OWENS FACE FIRST INTO THE CAGE AGAIN!!!!! *CROWD POP* And that drew blood!!! Owens is bleeding from the forehead now...LOT of blood tonight among the competitors. And the blood doesn't get any badder than this...both men getting to their feet slowly, it's a matter of who gets there first...ROKER DIVES INTO THE KNEE OF OWENS!!! Owens tries to get up, AGAIN ROKER CHOP BLOCKS HIM. AND ROKER'S UP AND HE'S GETTING FIRED UP!!!! *CROWD POP* Owens up RIGHT INTO A HARD UPPERCUT BY ROKER, AND ANOTHER!!! Owens sent to the ropes, and Roker RIGHT IN THERE WITH A FLYING ELBOWSMASH!!!!!! Owens gets up, ROKER DROPKICKS HIM HEAD FIRST INTO THE CAGE!! And Roker catches him on the backswing..BELLY TO BACK..NO! Owens lands on his feet and SHOVES ROKER FACE FIRST INTO THE CAGE!!!!! ROKER IS DOWN AGAIN!!!!! And it appears that Owens didn't land well that time, he's limping badly in there...but he's still got enough to pick Showtime up for a quick headram into the cage. Owens now dragging a limp Showtime and sitting him on the top rope....Owens testing that knee before he gets up there... He's got Roker in a powerslam position on the second rope.. This could be the Powerdriver coming up here...NO, Roker wiggles behind Owens and is standing on the top, backed by the cage...Owens turns around into a belly to belly... ROKER LANDS ON HIS FEET AND REVERSES IT!! BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX!!!! *Crowd pop* Roker drapes that leg of Owens over the bottom rope, Roker on the second rope..KNEEDROP RIGHT ON IT!!!! AND OWENS IS IN A WORLD OF PAIN RIGHT NOW!!!!!! Roker dragging Owens center ring...elbowdrops to the leg, followed by a kneesmash...and ROKER GOES FOR THE FIGURE FOUR!!! Owens in a desperation move kicks him away, and Roker slams backfirst into the cage and is slumped into the ropes. Owens tries to stand...HE CANNOT!!!!! THE KNEE BUCKLES!!!! And Roker off the ropes...ROLLING LEG WRENCH ON OWENS!!!! And Owens flips onto his stomach from the force of that move.. Showtime has the leg...SHOWSTOPPER!!!!!!!! And Owens is SCREAMING "NOOO" to the referee, he won't tap out. He will not. Showtime could care less...he's going to break that knee. Showtime still putting pressure to the neck but he's focusing on that knee. Owens is getting a glazed look in his eyes, this could end it right here... Referee checking the hands of Owens... Drops once..... drops twice............... ...... DROPS THREE TIMES!!!!! *DING DING DING* Referee signaling for the bell, Jon Owens has passed out from the pain!!! [Announcer] Your winner, in 19:30, by submission.....ROOOOKER....SHOOOOOWWW TIIIIIIMMMMEEEE ############################################### # WINNER: Roker Showtime, by submission 19:30 # ############################################### Owens gave Roker a hell of a match, and although he'll think he lost by not destroying showtime, he proved to everyone here that he can hang with the big boys. Tonight belongs to Showtime, however, he's greeting fans along the ringside area here....he just shook my hand, Doc's hand...I think this could very well be Roker's last match. It certainly seems that way, Roker now heading up the ramp... he's stopping at the top. EWC owner Armand LeBeaux handing Roker a mic, lets see what he has to say. (Crowd is chanting "PLEASE DON'T GO", Roker smiles at everyone, then raises his hands to quiet the crowd) [Roker] I'm not one for teary goodbyes, and I'm not about to start now. I just want to thank all of the great wrestling fans for allowing me to get in the ring and entertain you. I would also like to thank the EWC for giving me my first break in this sport and allowing me to finish up my career here. Win or lose, it's always been fun. Thank you. (Roker does a quick wave to the crowd, then goes through the curtains. The fans give him a standing ovation) Folks, you have just seen Roker's final match!! A historic night in wrestling, to be sure...and it's NOT OVER YET!!!!
