[Cut to the locker room where Nick Duncan stands by. He's got his seemingly ever present cup of coffee.] [Nick] Tonight, tonight, tonight. 3 way match, winner takes it all. Time for Nick to bring home 3 belts. And let's face it, I'm not going to win the titles just for myself, I'm going to win this for the good of the promotion. Let's face it, Dr. Destructo, he's a big idiot. He's always running around, trying to jump people from behind. The last thing he needs is *MY* free refills from Starbucks. So no caffeine for you, pal. And Omega... he's a hack. Holding the IeWS Title I can see, but to hold a title in a promotion that I'm in? (laughing to himself) I don't think so. So the both of you... get ready, because you're coming down to ground zero.... [Duncan takes another sip of the coffee and holds up the "IeWS Championship Belt" on his thumb before walking off.] ********************************************************* Folks, I am joined now by none other than Dr. Anthony Strange...Dr. Strange, this will be your last appearance in the broadcast booth for the EWC for a while, am I correct? You would be correct, the back office has some other things in mind for me that I really am not in a position to talk about at the moment, but you'll be finding things out soon enough, I guarantee. (Chopin's "Funeral March" plays over the PA system as the fans boo, although there are some cheers being mixed in to the system) This is a triple threat match coming up for the North American championship, one of the more hotly contested belts in recent weeks. One pinfall wins it all, so there is a chance that the current champion, Damien Omega, could win the title without being pinned for it. And that's the danger of a match like this...now on paper it would seem Omega is at a huge disadvantage, because both "Nuclear" Nick Duncan and Dr. Destructo are, shall we say, on the wrong side of the fans. Destructo and Duncan have had their own issues as of late, however, so things could be very interesting here. ("Fuel" by Metallica kicks in and the boo quotient jumps astronomically) And Duncan, the current "Starbucks" titleholder,as we tend to call it, is on his way out...surprisingly minus his comrades in the Power Supply, that being Curtis "C-Jack" Stone and Jon Owens. Well, Owens has the match of a lifetime coming up here very soon, and Stone...well, I don't *know* where Stone is. The one thing about the Power Supply, however, is that they tend to work alone more than the "gang mentality" we see in wrestling today, so I don't think we'll be seeing much of the Supply today...although you never know. [PA System] Real.......real.......real.......what it means to be real. ("Slave to the Grind" kicks in and the fans start to liven up) And here's the North American titleholder "The Real Deal" Damien Omega, and he looks fired up for this one. Ever since that shocking pin of his several weeks ago against the former titleholder, Chris Sim, Omega has acquitted himself admirably in his defenses, although Duncan does hold a pinfall victory over Omega. This match can very easily go either way. Omega taking his time going to the ring, signing some autographs for the fans on his way...the fans really seem to have taken to this guy. To a degree, you have to understand that Omega is a throwback to the old days, when fan favorites didn't swear and stayed pretty straightforward in the ring, and I think many people still very much appreciate that. The bell has sounded, and it looks like Omega and Destructo are going to start out here...in fact, Duncan being very vocal towards both competitors. *SHORT REPORT MODE ON Doc and Omega tie up and bull around a bit before letting go. They tie up again, Omega drops down for a leg trip, then rides up onto the back of Destructo, still keeping the left leg cinches while going into a headlock from behind. Destructo rolls out of it, gets onto his feet, and is nailed with an armdrag takedown by Omega that sends him across the ring. Destructo gets on his knees, applauds in Omega's general direction, then gets up once again. They tie up again, and Doc goes behind with a hammerlock. Omega tries to twist out of it, and does, getting Doc into an armwringer. Doc drops down and takes down Omega with a fireman's carry, then scissorlocking Omega's head. Omega slips out and dives forward into a grounded side headlock, after a few seconds, Doc slips out of that and gets Omega in a side headlock of his own. Omega rises to his feet, still in the side headlock, and hits Destructo with a back suplex, then holds it for a two count. Destructo is up, so is Omega, and Omega with an armdrag takedown into an armbar. Destructo works his way to his feet, reverses the armwringer into a short-arm clothesline that Omega ducks. Omega turns around and hits a nick kick-to-leg, kick-to-stomach, roundhouse kick to the face combo that sends Destructo over the top rope and garners a good crowd pop. And there's that agility and martial arts based attack from Omega, and that's something we don't think about when it comes to Omega. That's right, we think submission, we think attacks to the legs, very methodical, but Omega has some aerial work and agility in his own right...he's not a flip flop and flyer like Furia or Bill Curtis, but he's got enough to make you think. Destructo sliding back into the ring now..and dives and makes a tag to Nick Duncan, and now Duncan going into the ring..and Omega wasting no time as he dropkicks Duncan back into the turnbuckles, and *CRACK* OUCH, *HARD* chop across the chest of Duncan, and Omega sends him to the other buckle, CHARGE BY OMEGA, and Duncan back leapfrogs him...and a HARD German suplex by Duncan slows the North American champ down. And Duncan, at 6'2 and 260+ lbs has the strenght and the height to really make those suplexes hurt. Duncan followed up with a couple of forearm strikes across the face and ribs of Omega, then picked him up and tried for a bodyslam, but Omega slid and dropped behind him, then pushed him forward to the ropes, coming back in for a victory roll for a 2 count. Duncan gets up and is hit with an armdrag by Omega followed by a diving tackle to the knee of Duncan, which drops Duncan on his back. Omega follows up with a rolling hamstring stretch...then tags Destructo. Destructo obliges the double team, climbing to the second rope then dropping with a vertical splash right on the knee of Duncan. Destructo then dropped 3 successive elbowdrops onto the right knee of Duncan before going for a spinning toehold..Duncan kicks Destructo off into the ropes...Destructo bounces back and is caught by Duncan into a bodyslam position, but Duncan's leg gives and Destructo falls on top of Duncan, and gets a 2 count. Destructo gets up, kicks and falls on the knee a couple more times, then tags in Omega. Omega now has that knee of Duncan again, REALLY sound strategy by both men here. Omega now has that leg..OUCH Dragon Screw by Omega, and that twisted that leg in a direction that it's not supposed to go!!! And Omega immediately following up on that...he's applying the "End Game" Nagata lock finisher very early in the match, I'd be surprised if he got a win here....and as I suspected, Duncan able to get free enough to make it to the ropes, and now Omega letting go. Not for long tho, Omega with several kicks to that leg of Duncan's, VERY smart strategy...not only does it make the submission style of both Omega *and* Destructo more effective, it lessens Duncan's ability to hit those devastating suplexes of his. Omega now tying Duncan up in that corner as he backs up.. HANDSPRING ELBOW!!! AND OMEGA NAILS DESTRUCTO!!! *crowd pop/gasp* Duncan managing to duck out of the way of the incoming elbow, and Omega knocking Destructo all the way to the floor on that one. Omega can't believe that happened... DUNCAN WITH A SCHOOLBOY ROLLUP!!! ONE.............. TWO................ Omega kicking out. Now both men up, and Duncan with a belly to belly suplex, not able to get the force he normally does because he could only use the one foot to pivot. And Destructo back on that apron, and Duncan goes over to make a tag, saying something to Destructo on the way over... and Destructo REALLY laying in with the kicks on the prone Damien Omega. Did he think Omega meant to hit him with that elbow? Entirely possible, Isaac...remember, NO ONE in this match is a friend of one another. Destructo now has Omega up and hits a HARD forearm uppercut that backs Omega into the ropes..now Omega sent across for the ride..and takes a HARD knee into the sternum. From there, Destructo worked Omega's knee for a good minute or two, hitting kneedrops and kicks to Omega's leg, then dragging it to the ringpost and doing the Ric Flair bit...ram it into the post twice, then come back in, drape it over the ring ropes, and sit on it a couple of times. Doc grabs both legs, then flips over into a pinning combimation for a two count. He then picks Omega up, hits a shinbreaker, then goes for the Texas cloverleaf. Unfortunately, Destructo was too close to the tag corner, and Duncan reach in and slap tagged him on the back, then came in and hit an elbowdrop on the fallen Omega as Destructo protests the tag. Duncan then goes to work on the back of Omega, with forearms to the back and kicks to the back. He picks Omega up in a bodyslam position, then drops down into a cross-knee backbreaker, then HOLDS it for a possible submission. Omega, after about 25 seconds, doesn't give in, so Duncan picks him back up, but his knee buckles and he drops Omega...Omega with a HARD sweep kick to the knee, then ANOTHER one that sends Duncan on his back. Omega reaches to tag Destructo, but Doc punches him right in the face, and falls back over Duncan, who has the presence of mind to roll him up for a one............ two............ Omega kicks out. Duncan gets up, walks off some of the knee pain, then picks up Omega, backs him into the corner face first, and shoulderblocks his back a couple of times, then moves in and uses his good knee to knee him in the back a couple of times. Duncan hooks his head into a reverse DDT position, but instead lifts him up into a curtain call and a count interrupted by Destructo. While the ref was busy getting Destructo out, Nick takes the confusion and hits a double underhook suplex into a pin....Duncan holds him there for a few seconds, but by the time the ref gets back over it's only a two count. And Duncan telling the crowd "That's It", as he goes into a go-behind waistlock...and one....two...three rolling german suplexes!!! "Chain Reaction? And Omega looks out on his back right now...we've got a cover.....one....... two........... And AGAIN Destructo breaks the count. And Nick is HOT as he gets up and gets in the face of Destructo.... *crowd pop* WOW!!! *HARD* SLAP ACROSS THE FACE OF DUNCAN, and now Destructo moving in, and grabbing Omega..AND THROWING HIM INTO NICKS CORNER!!!! Referee Wayne Winans saying that Omega has tagged out to Duncan, and Duncan saying no way. And Destructo not waiting as he physically pulls Nick Duncan into the ring and starts wailing away on him!!! Destructo has totally gone berzerk on Nick Duncan.. he's backed up into a corner now, Destructo sending him to the opposite buckle, and Duncan BOUNCES out of the corner...SPINEBUSTER BY DESTRUCTO!!!! *crowd pop* And Omega nearly out in the corner over there, he took a LOT of punishment...cover by Destructo... ONE......................... TWO............. Not enough, Duncan gets a shoulder up. And Destructo has had about enough of this, he picks up Duncan for a brainbuster...Duncan back down, blocks, SNAP SUPLEX by Duncan. And a cover... ONE..................... TWO..................... Thr..INTERRUPTED BY OMEGA!!!!! The referee getting Omega out of there, and Duncan has Destructo hooked for the double underhook DDT.....Destructo is loose, LOW KNEE to Duncan while the ref wasn't looking.. DDT!!!! And now both men are down on the mat. Destructo landed near the corner...and Omega reaches in and tags Destructo out. And Omega catches the rising Duncan with a savate kicks that backs him into the corner...*CRACK* HARD knife edge on Duncan, and ANOTHER!! Duncan retaliates with a chest chop of his own, and now both men going back and forth with chops...Duncan now has Omega in a corner...he sends him to the opposite buckle...OMEGA REVERSES.....backs up,....HANDSPRING ELBOW RIGHT ON THE MONEY!!!!!! And Duncan staggers out and falls right on his face!!! Omega moves in with a cover!!!!! ONE................ TWO........................... Destructo breaks the count. Omega now picks up Duncan and sends him for the ride, going for a backdrop...DUNCAN STOPS SHORT!!! DOUBLE UNDERHOOK DDT!!!!!! And Duncan needs to cover here...waitaminute, Destructo slap tagged him from behind!!! Destructo in there now and DUNCAN JUST CLOTHESLINES HIM BACK INTO THE CORNER!!! Duncan steps out and forces the tag with Destructo, and now both men are fighting things out.....unfortunately, they haven't noticed OMEGA WITH THE ENZIGURI ON DUNCAN!!! And Destructo goes over the top rope!!!!! Duncan is dazed from that hit, Omega from behind...RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP!!! And he rides over for the pin.... ONE................ TWO............. THREE!!! *DING DING DING* ##################################### # WINNER: Damien Omega, via pinfall # ##################################### And Omega pulls out the win as Destructo dives back into the ring!!!! And Omega winning the so-called "Triple Crown" Omega straps the North American title around his waist.. and he's calling Destructo over??? Omega HANDING THE IeWS BELT OVER TO DESTRUCTO! He's telling him it shouldn't have been up for bandying around anyways!! And he's taking the "Starbucks" belt and tossing it out to the crowd!!!!!! Lucky stiff...free refills at Starbucks is a great deal!!! Omega leaving a very confused Destructo behind him as he raises his one true belt, the North American title, high above him!!!!! Fans, we have some promotional deals for you, but after that, it's Roker vs. Owens, NEXT!!!
