SSB:M Fair Battle Rules (SMBR) Table Of Contents Intro Items Mode Select Character Select Stage Select Number of Games Winning Appendix A Appendix B Appendix C Copyright Index Intro The following rules have been compiled so that all battles to see who is better are fair and to set a standard. You must start out by customizing a VS. mode Melee (which is were the battle must take place) In the following text “1 round” is when you play through these rules once, so 2 rounds would be 8 battles, because each round is 4 battles. Items All Items MUST be turned off. Mode Select You may do either a stock or time battle. In the stock battle you must have stock set on 3. In a time battle you must have time set on 3 min. Both players must agree on either a stock or time battle. In the event that both players can not agree on stock or time then you play two (1 of each) rounds according to the rules. ( that would be 8 battles, first you do a stock round, which is 4 stock battle and then you would do 4 time battles and whoever wins* the most is the best.) Character Select The person playing must* be their best character**. Stage Select*** The stage must be random unless both players agree on a course(s)The Stage must be different each time***. Number of games 4 games must be played every round to determine a winner. (this is to account for a player to “get back” if they lose because of the stage before and feel it was unfair because the course killed them, they get more chances that the course won’t kill them.) The person who wins the most out of 4 games is the better player. Winning The player who wins the most out of 4 games is the better player. If the wins are evenly split then you continue by going into “overtime” play 1 stock battle and then 1 time battle and the first person to win 2 in a row (only in “overtime”) is the best. Appendix A Section A When selecting your character the person whose game it is must have your best character or the battle is void. Section B All damage given by the stage counts as legal damage and in the event makes a player lose a battle that battle still counts and the other person still gets a win. Appendix B Section A**** If your best person is Mewtwo and/or any person playing is using Mewtwo you must fallow the rules below:(these rule are in addition to the regular rules and override the current rules that they contradict.) Number of Games 6 games must be played and Mewtwo must win at least 4 to be declared the winner. If each player wins 3 games the person not playing Mewtwo wins. Section B If both players are Mewtwo then all the rules above are void and the regular rules are used. Appendix C If a player loses due to any cause he may not blame his/her loss on any outside factor. *See Appendix A Section A **See Appendix B section A ***See Appendix A section B ****See Appendix B section B Copyright This document copyright 2002 by E_Oreo3363.
