| CELEBRATION Blue haze spills over turquoise waters Sunrays filter through wind, Colourful parasols litter the sandy beaches, seagulls fly past, calming tired minds. A child scream alerts the dazed mannequins, his sand-castle has caved in unrehearsed for life he cries unaware that these are replicas of life. Startled adults wake up to false alarm, Their shock ripples across the sand beaches With reclusive yawns they retreat back to respite, Embarrassed at the innocence of the child. His tiny finger points to the demolished castle, Unknown to him, achievements are short lived on oceans beaches, his parents hug reassure the child, explaining, these are lifes natural losses. Sand castles rise and fall, life goes on regardless Ambitions take shape, some melt away; Life events duplicate at sand beaches One crumbles other thrives to stay. The child builds again the castle stands Till another wave knocks it down, Celebrations take over crisis of shame Claps from tiny hands replace tears As the child learns lifes final game. |
