If you like to camp and know you and your horse are safe then
E & K Horse Camp is for you. Pull your camper and/or horse
trailer into your site and live with your horse for the duration of
your stay. The grounds have large trees for shade, and a natural
setting for camping and relaxing. A creek runs through the grounds
so your horse can walk right down to the water for a cool drink
or you can use the camps hand pump.
If you are looking for electricity then you will find it here. When
you get hungry better build yourself a fire and cook up some grub,
and oh yeah, bring your own port � o �potty or use our DEHC
approved outhouse cause that's the way it is at E & K.






However, horse people like it that way cause the manymiles
of riding trails are only minutes away. In the summer there is moss
covered trails that lead you along the great Chattooga River under
a canopy of trees, with a breeze always stirring. We have abundant
wildlife and surroundings like huge boulders, sprawling ferns
and beautiful waterfalls everywhere you look. During the fall
months, the scenery is magnificent. You can ride deep into the
mountains to see places that only you and your horse can visit.

If you have a horse that isn't convinced, well a few of our hills,
many miles, a wet blanket and then he will be. All he will want out of life
is a hay bag full of hay and a bucket of water tied to the side of your






trailer. While your horse is resting you can pull up a log, chair
or bucket, set by the fire, and tell stories about the rides you went
on and the ones you are going on. You can count on meeting other
horse people just like yourself.
Do not worry much about Cain Raisin because Kathy
and Eddie keep a family environment here at the camp. I doubt the
preacher will be making rounds while you are there, but you might hear a
gospel song come from the porch at the old house. You see, they pick
and grin out there most Saturday nights until past dark. So, if you
are a mind, bring your horse, tack, guitar or banjo, some grub and
a sleeping bag to E & K for your stay. Come and enjoy the view.
All E & K Horse campsites are shady with enough space to accomodate 2 horses, riders, and equipment. We have sites that will accomodate 4 horses and Big Rigs or RV's. Sites are equiped with power outlets. Sites start at $15.00 per night a deposit is required.

Directions:
Take Hwy. 28 from Walhalla, SC until you pass Sumter national Forest Ranger Station on the right, go to top of hill, take a left at the Mountain Top Trading Post, this is Whetstone Road, go strait at the four way stop.
This will be Earls Ford Rd. You will then proceed down Earls Ford Rd. until you cross a bridge. E & K Horse Camp is on the right side of the road. Turn at the signs for the camp.
