Acecho, persecución y muerte (Stalk, Pursuit and Death)
Acecho, persecución y muerte (Stalk, Pursuit and Death): for this work, the topic of "big felines hunting antelopes and gazelles" was used. "Stalk", "pursuit", and "death" are the three stages of hunting and he sections of this work.
Music and video were thought of together in order to obtain an integral product. Many times, the sound articulates the visual discourse and not the other way around, as it is the case of conventional setting to music. The music belongs to the electro-acoustic genre, a genre in which composition is made from the timbre (sound quality) rather than from the rhythm, melody, or harmony. This type of music must be listened to from a more primitive place, not with the abstraction of conventional musical structures but with the sensations and feelings produced by the sound signs and environment.
Hunting has an evolution in which animals are just participants; hunting hides the dynamics of life, of what is natural and visceral, the mystery of existence, and that goes beyond its protagonists. This is why we attempt to show the movement, development, and feelings but eluding the explicit presentation of its characters. Composition and montage were made by the arrangement of the elements according to the hunting stages.
