Galileo's
Life and Accomplishments!

Galileo was born in Italy in 1564 to Vincenzo Galilei and Guilia Ammannati. His father was a fine lute player and music teacher and his mother was the one who got him and the family situated in a house located in Pisa,Italy. Galileo grew to become fascinated with science and astronomy. He went to school for many years to study science and with his schooling and research efforts, came up with the brilliant idea of a telescope.
When the government found out that Galileo was challenging their religious beliefs in which they used as the foundation of their government, they were furious. After refusing to apologize, the church charged him of heresy for his belief that the earth rotates around the sun, not the sun rotating around the earth. As a result, Galileo was put on house arrest where he looked further into his studies. Unfortunately, Galileo died on house arrest and was never given another shot to redeem himself. However, he paved the way and opened the eyes of many people and great scientists to come.
