Kern River: Fairview, Chamise, and Ant Canyon (May 2nd, 04)

Paddlers: Bryant, Alex, Rob, Paul, Danny, Francis, Pilo, Patrick, Stephanie, Kristina, Walt, John, Henry, Yvette, Kinga, and Steve.

Water Level: 1264 cfs at 11am and 1345 cfs at 3pm.

On Sunday, we had a big group. We started off with 18 people running the Fairview, 9 people on the Chamise and Ant Canyon, and 3 people continued down to Tunder run. Ant Canyon became one of my favorite runs. It is not a canyon (misleading name) but pretty continuous boulder gardens all the way to the end. It's slightly easier than Chamise (with lesser big holes) but still intensive enough to satisfy most paddlers.
