The wonderful SSTV Project
On August 13, 2006 early morning local time 06.57 am. I was waiting for ISS packet transmission on 145.990 / 145.800Mhz as usually, combine IC-2100T with interface box and running Nova for Windows / AGWP / UISS / UIView-32 IGate connected to internet, I turned my Yagi 5 E(Club Station) height 7 meter to 325 degree approximate and locked it due to I don't have roller and max-el quite high 72 degree, I had only 1 or 2 minutes only to do it . On that day I wished to send my packet msg Via ISS to Celebrate my Queen's Birthday HS1B on August 12. Unexpected I heard SSTV strong signal 5/9. I turned MixW2 on immediately, recorded the sound of transmission and had tried to decode the picture by S1 at first but not working then changed to R36 and did not get through at that time, later on had tried to recode again by the sound record file of MixW2. Finally I got through by R36 I saw date and timing on picture is wrong, they are nice and wonderful picture specially I never seen those pictures like this before, then I guess that someone playing on me and on otherway I think may be Pavel try to set up and test before he go to bed because the UTC time around midnight of August 12. After that I called HS2WAQ who has many experience on ISS's packet radio in Thailand, and send him a sound recorded file, he decoded the picture again, he siad, never seen picture like this before and signal was clear like signal from the ground that make me confuse. I had tried to search some information and any picture of SSTV in the past from ISS. Finally I send e-mail to ask Cor PD0RKC for any information about this SSTV and picture received from HAM around the world and send him the received pictures to compare.
