Ernie's guide to cooking, I mean, heating turkeys
Mmmm, Turkey. Kevin writes about how he brines his turkey for Thanksgiving. As I had a Thanksgiving dinner party this past weekend, let me give you my tips for cooking a turkey:

ERNIE'S TIPS FOR COOKING A TURKEY

  1. Go to Albertsons
  2. Buy turkey.
  3. Realize that the turkey is frozen. Freak out.
  4. Read instructions to find that you have to remove one of the two bags that the turkey is stuffed in. Place turkey in oven.
  5. Watch smoke coming from the turkey within 2 minutes. Freak out.
  6. Realize that the smoke is actually frozen bits of ice being placed in a hot oven.
  7. Worry over turkey for indeterminate amount of minutes.

  8. Serve turkey next to everyone elses potluck dishes. Since the party was with mostly Filipinos, expect pork dishes. Lots and lots of pork dishes.

Enjoy!
