In the pursuit of goals and achievements, some people subject their bodies and minds to near abuse, and brush it off as the "price" for the "prize"; "no pain, no gain", as the saying goes. This overrated viewpoint may work in the secular world, but if Christians do it, they have misunderstood their scriptures. The Creator gave us health so that we may do what His bidding. It doesn't make sense to abuse or neglect ourselves through some warped view of "self sacrifice". On the flipside, couch potatoes live up to their names... they become rooted in drudgery, get bigger and fatter, and more removed from reality, until their size gets the better of them.
