Pride comes before a fall. Pride and humility are at odds against each other. Pride prohibits us from acknowledging our need, and taking steps to remedy it. Pride makes us clam up when we should be asking for aid. Pride isolates us from the helping hands that are around us. Pride closes our minds to many possibilities. Pride eventually becomes our downfall, and we die in regret, despair and denial.
