Attitudes color our expectations of life. Rose-tinted views portray an innocent world of pleasantries and realiseable ideals. Dark-tinted views make one pessimistic and life seem folly-ridden. Clear views take life in stride and evaluate circumstances and people as they appear, with margins for idealisms as well as cynicisms.
Blinkers, on the other hand, are best suited only for workhorses, and limit their perspective of their surroundings. Human beings who go through life with blinkers on have only themselves to blame when they realise the experiences in life they have forgone.
