We are the Church
Self righteousness at times rears its ugly head in the church, the very place where it shouldn't be. It is man's form of righteousness. Righteousness that comes from God, and specified in the Bible is loving, humble etc, all the characteristics that Christ modelled. Congregational wars made public is akin to airing dirty laundry at your neighbors. It invites gossip, division, and unrest in the Family. Who needs it? It is against the model of what the Bible prescribes, and a symptom of carnal nature, and most unbecoming of church leaders.
