If I had to be a flower or a plant, I'd choose to be:
Not a Sunflower--it looks good in daylight but soon withers away; not a Rose--its aroma and beauty are irresistable, but the thorns hurt the one who tries to pick it up; not a Daisy, for its stalk is thin and weak, not a mighty Tree, for it can be soon cut down for wood, and its life is permanently ended...but a Cactus.
The Cactus is hardy, endures all things, thrives despite the harsh sun and minimal rain, providing refreshing balm and moisture to parched and thirsty souls in the desert. One solitary cactus makes all the difference to the desert around it. Go chomp a piece of Aloe Vera now!
