Habitat

A family of chimpanzees in their natural habitat.Chimpanzees live in rainforests, dry Savannah, and grassland.  In rainforests chimpanzees leap through the canopies and mostly spend time on the ground.  Most people don’t know that chimpanzees are terrestrial, or spend most of their life on the ground.  In the dry Savannah chimpanzees spend almost no time in trees because there aren’t very many trees in the Savannah.  In grasslands chimpanzees stay on the ground under the cover of the tall grass to shield themselves from predators that may be passing by.  Chimpanzees like to stay in cover in every habitat that they are found in.
