PCFEAP is a small general purpose finite element analysis program which is designed for research and educational use. The program is described in the references: The Finite Element Method, 4th ed., Vols. 1 and 2, by O.C. Zienkiewicz and R.L. Taylor, McGraw-Hill, London, 1987 and 1991. The program has been modified to include elements from both volumes and to be compatible for compilation in both UNIX and PC environments. A copy of the revised source may be obtained by downloading the following files:
After receiving the files it is necessary to remove parts which will not be used. Only one of the PASOLV and PFSOL1/2 files ane one of the graphics files PCDIGL, PCFOR5, PCTEKT or PCWINT should be used . Routines which have system dependent requirements are grouped into the file PCDEPT.
The file PCFEAPWN is a compressed executable which when run will create an executable named PCFEAP. PCFEAP is to then be used to perform problem solutions.
