| Ok the deal is, you're stuck about tac gear. You've looked around and the only vests you can find are in excess of 100.. Flecktarn to the rescue.. Once again. The guys at flecktarn have one of the greatest airsoft accessories ever. The SAAV. available in both..British DPM and..other.. colors. And the best thing? Its under 30 As strange as it may seem for a tac vest.. Chris and I dived in the deep end and Both bought one. Firstly.. the main thing we noticed was the decent material they used. Nylon Cordura - Esque material, same thing they make most backpacks from. Basically..plenty tough. The seams are fairly solid, and all the pockets are velcro seal. Just grab and lift, none of this clip buckle crap.. So far so good for the price. Its time to try it on. Adjustability is slapped all over it. waist, pack height.. there are even some shoulder pads intergrated into it, making the whole set up extremely comfortable to wear. So what about Real estate? Shit loads my friend. I found that i could fit just about all of the objects from my airsoft toolbox.. into the saav. Plenty good. there are 2 pockets that will easily fit a bag of 3700 Excels each, poncho, water bottle..whatever. All over the vest are pockets that can be used to magazines, loaders etc. Also included is a section on the back for a hydration system (or a walkman) and a spacious map pocket on the left side, tucked away under all the others to give protection from the wet. There are also pipe guides for the said hydration system. All adjusters are standard strap friction types... apart from the ones on the front, which are sturdy push lock clips. Long story short, with this, you wont be stuck for pockets. Ok bad sides. Everything and anything has a bad side unfortunatly. These are minimal with this though. One down side is the pocket size for your bigger mags, aka..P90, G36C, SG series. the latter fit, but with a squeeze. the only idea for a p90 mag would be to use the map pocket. Although we are yet to test it physically. These are the only downsides i can see. Without comparing it to a 100 tac vest, i would have said its pretty much the same. Basically we give this 9.8/10. its that good. Its cheap, Tough and versatile for your first venture into airsoft, Despite this, some veterans choose to use these as well. A bargain tac vest with ultra-functionality. Heaven. - Dan and Chris. |
