CSW 19th August 2004
Ok so forth time going to CSW and man was it fun, always is though. So we got there at 9.30 leaving us plenty of time to get all the gear together. First up as usual was the speedball games. I'm not to sure who won these but it doesnt matter really. After the speedball game was team Lilac defending the village. Me and Dan choose this time to get into the tower guarding the bridge, and although there was already one person in there we all managed to get in there. As the Reds began to move in we started to move in we chose to act like no one was home let them go past us then shoot them in the back, that was the plan but it didnt quite go that way. Dan decided to open fire on a red standing out in the open, he got him but the reds knew we were there, which meant they had something to shoot at. The tower came under heavy fire and whilst ducking my head down i saw through a crack in the floor a red had come up to the bottom of the tower. So the third guy in the tower asked if someone was down there and when i replied yes, threw a thunderflash out the firing slit to the area where the red was, we waited until we heard a loud BOOM followed by the red saying "I hate grenades", nice kill. After we succesfully defended the village we went back to camp and had a chance to reload before we had the next game, King of the hill. So it being king of the hill i thought knowing our previous run of luck being on the lilac or blues we'd end up at the bottom of the hill, you can imagine my expression when we won the coin toss and decided to go from the pine forest. So after getting to the pine forest we waited until the start of the game, while most people walked to the hill others ran, and some like myself ran a bit then couldnt be bothered and walked the rest of the way. When i got to the hill we were in control of it, so after finding myself a nice postion to get down into i waited for the red to attack, those crafty reds had snuck up on the right hand side of the hill, so i kept low and moved round to see where they were, soon i noticed lilacs coming back dead from the back of the hill but before i could give that any thought some reds had begun moving up the hill. I decided to go a little nuts and just fire at the postitions where i had seen some reds, well bad idea cos that didnt make me to popular with them, even behind some trees and with my head down it wasnt to long before i got hit, and the reds were nice enough to make sure i was dead as i got up. After respawning we got back and the reds were in control of the hill, so using some fire and movement we moved in but started to lose people as we went. Whistle blew Reds won. After lunch was the scenairo game in which the Phalanx group (blues/lilacs) a British terrorist group unhappy with the political direction of Britain was trying to secure a prototype weapon whilst the British Army (reds) were trying to stop them. The first objective was for the two teams to secure the village and the weapon which was situated there, also the teams would find a map that shows the location of the targeting device to be used in conjunction with it. So the game started with the Blues starting just to the left of hamburger hill, whilst the reds started by the radio shack. When the Lilacs got the village we discoved the reds had gotten there first and that became very clear to me when some fire from the bridge tower took me out. After getting back to the respawn and having the marshall there laugh at the fact i was out within the first 5 minutes more people came back and once the time was up we went back. After getting back to the village the Lilacs had made some headway, and as me and Dan moved up with some other blues the Reds high tailed it out of there and retreated towards the radio shack, after looking around the village we found out they had the gun, but we knew the location of the targeting device, the pine forest. Me Dan and about 3 other made our way back there to discover in the pine forest our guys had found it, so there we were 8 blues and 1 case. We made our way back to hill. So 3 guys went off as a patrol while the 5 of us tried our best to defend, about 10 minutes from the end we had a large amount of reds moving in on us. So deciding we couldnt let the hill be captured one person made a break for it with the case, that left 4 of us. So once the Reds were getting close 2 guys legged it with the case while i laid down some cover fire. Then Dan made a run for it while i covered him, leaving me on my lonesome. Bad idea as no one could cover me and i was doomed as soon as i ran for it. Either way we had tried and the game was over. Reds securing the hill meant we didnt get the points for having the case and we lost. Last game of the day was King of the Village in which i surprising lasted the whole game, thanks to me and Dan jumping into the tower on the bridge once the Lilacs had secured the village. We spent the entire game up there firing randomly at things until we had Reds move in from over the bridge. We fired and fired and fired, and hit nothing but made them keep there heads down. Well that was it for the day, fun was had by all and Dan realised he cant hit anything with his AWP, thats until he gets it upgraded. So next game October the 3rd which will also be the Chris's birthday lets get thunderflashes game.
