Oracle goes storming out of the gates. Windfall applauds Bracer, "Well spoken, Leutenant." Fortress shrugs, "Maybe, but they can be foolish too. Nova damn near killed herself for me." He glances at Windfall, "We've only just met." Fortress is standing in front of the others. His weapons are on the ground in front of him. Bracer is standing a few feet from the weapons, facing Fortress. Windfall is to Bracer's left. Wildfire is standing beside Bracer, apparently looking at the excange between him and Fort with great interest. Windfall shrugs, "Actually we haven't met. I've threatened you. It's not exactly the same thing." Bracer says, "There's not much I can say to that....honor, and yet, an honor that I'm sure you would have rather done without" Fortress shaes his head, "I'm not as foolish as that, Bracer. Give it a rest." He truns his attention to Windfall, "My name's Fortress. I used to live here before I joined the Decepticons." Oracle passes by the little grouping. Bracer looks at Wildfire and shakes his head. Oracle does /not/ look happy at all...in fact, the opposite is very apparent. Bracer mutters to Wildfire: "Such a ... personality." Windfall shakes her head, "That was stupid. I'm Windfall, Militia PR." She then spots ORacle and waves with her free hand. Wildfire mutters to Bracer: "... Fortress yes I ... ... ..." Wildfire smiles angelically at Brace. Fortress looks at the newest person emerging from the city then glances around pausing as he considers the distance to the nearest cover Oracle doesn't even nod as she storms on by the group. Fortress watches Oracle stowm past then looks at Windfall, "I think she's busy." Fortress is standing in front of the others. His weapons are on the ground in front of him. Windfall watches as well and nods, "Looks that way." Wildfire is standing on Bracer's right. Oracle looks like she's busy trying to put dents in the ground by the way she's stomping and storming around. Wildfire blinks at Ora's uncharacteristic show of temper. It's like being attacked by a sheep, seeing her actually angry. Bracer turns his attention away from Fortress momentarily and looks over at Oracle Skywise comes stampeding out of Crystal City, following some gumby cybertronian like a lost puppy and ignoring his apparently exasperated sighs as she plods along. At some point she notices a group gathered and unmoving (Well, except for Oracle_GLoomy_Gus) and loses interest in the gumby, who hastily continues on his way. Skywise just stands there watching for now. Oracle scowls to no one in particular. "What!?!" Fortress shifts his attention back to Bracer then follows his gaze to Oracle, "Friend of yours?" Wildfire says, "Nothing." Bracer says, "Are you...okay, Oracle? Is there anything we can help you with?" Windfall sighs as Skywise tromps out of the gate. She waves her little one over and watches Brace and Ora. Bracer mutters to Fortress: "... quite ... ... ... happy lately ... to ... ... the whole ... ... ... ... ... banned from here" Fortress looks back towards the gates and glances at Skywise. He says nothing then shrugs and bends down to pick up his grenades. He stands and says something to Bracer. Oracle stops with a final 'thud' of her feet. "I don't think there is anything you can do to help /this/ matter. Besides, last time I discussed being helped by the Militia, it blew up in my face." Fortress mutters to Bracer: "Well ... good ... ... ... if ... investigate this ..." Wildfire rolls her optics. "Good to know you're not taking it personally..." Skywise scampers toward Windie, having seen her gesture. "You know," she says wisely, "If she keeps stomping like that she's goinig to make the ground -terribly- unhappy, and if she keeps looking all grouchy like that she'll turn into a hideous monster." she nods once to Windie. "So I hear." Oracle glances at Skywise...apparently unamused. She doesn't say anything however. Windfall glances at Oracle and puts a hand on Sky's shoulder, "If you have a complaint, I'll be more than happy to assist you, Oracle." Fortress calls at Oracle, "Well if the Militia can't help, maybe a Decepticon can." Wildfire stands back and waits for the fireworks... Windfall points her flamethrower at Fort's head again, "Stay outta this, Con." Oracle glares at Fortress. "It was a Decepticon that /got/ me into this temper. I doubt that one can get me back out.../thank/ you very much." The sarcasm is chililng. Skywise yeeps. Bracer hmmms "Surely there is something we can do, Oracle. What is upsetting you specifically now?" Wildfire sighs and rubs her left temple. "This cycle started so well..." You say, "I /hate/ Ghost and Onslaught!" Bracer raises a brow "This is unusual?" Wildfire says, "Who doesn't?" Fortress ignores Windfall and takes a step towards Oracle, "That's exactally why I can help." Bracer ers "I mean....is there any particular reason why you're so mad at them?" Windfall snorts, "Back, Con. Step again and you lose face. Literally." Oracle keeps glaring at Fortress and doesn't grace him with an answer. She turns to Bracer. "I don't think I would have any sympathy from this group." Skywise giggles, "Go Windfall!" she snickers. Fortress stops moving, glancing back at Windfall. "Wrong..uh Oracle was it. You'd be surprised how much sympathy I have for you." He looks around. Bracer says, "Try me, Oracle" Windfall glares at Skywise and raises one eyeridge, "What did you call me?" You say, "I'm mad because of how they treat Brawl, okay. I know that everyone thinks I'm out of my senses for associating with him, but that is beside the point." Wildfire turns at the familiar voice and grins at Sky. Skywise tsks, and mutters, "I swear your hearing is going..." Fortress says, "What's it worth if I help Brawl?" Bracer says, "Brawl? What do you mean, how they treat Brawl...they treat him differently?" Windfall swats Sky with her free hand, "Trust me, it isn't." You say, "He is so loyal to them, and yet they treat him so poorly, always making him sick. I think his own faction hurts him more than the Autobots and Unaffilates do combined." Oracle glares at Fortress once more. Fortress holds out his hands, "I'm an engineer, green optics. I may be able to help." Bracer says, "Hmmm....he's not allowed here until Ghost lifts the ban, so we can't really help him. Did you have any thoughts on what could be done?" Skywise ow's at Windfall. Skywise mutters to Windfall: "Everybody always ... ... at ... Windfall?" Oracle's voice becomes high pitched. "Ghost wouldn't allow Brawl to see me, even if the ban were lifted. She told Brawl he wasn't supposed to see me anymore, but he doesn't listen to her." Bracer says, "Oh? Why not?" Windfall nods at her offspring, "Usually. The Autobots and Decepticons are still fighting. The rest of us are tired of getting out of the way." Windfall receives a radio message. Wildfire says, "Or getting in the way, as the case may be." Bracer says, "Er...why did she tell him not to see you?" Windfall transmits a radio message. You say, "I don't know. Probably went on about Decepticon purity or something. She says he should only see a Decepticon femme. Perhaps because a Decepticon femme would most likely use him the way the whole faction does." Windfall receives a radio message. Fortress waits to hear what else Oracle will say, his blank faceshield and visor give away no emotion Skywise folds her arms and shakes her head sadly. Windfall transmits a radio message. Windfall shrugs, "Someday things will calm down." Fortress shakes his head, "What an interesting position for Ghost to take. I'll promise you this Oracle, if Brawl wants to see you and I can arrange it, I'll help." Windfall receives a radio message. Windfall shakes her head, "As long as it's not inside city limits." Skywise narrows her optics at the gathered group. "I doubt that it'll calm down ever, Ma. It'll only get messier and louder." Oracle turns her burning gaze back to Fortress. "Getting to see him isn't the problem...it's stopping the reprecusions. He is punished everytime he is caught seeing me. He is knocked around and doesn't have the sense to know when to leave. He can come to no good, but he will never leave his brother Onslaught." Windfall transmits a radio message. Windfall receives a radio message. Fortress looks right at Oracle and his visor gets slightly darker, "What's it worth if I protect him?" Wildfire says, "How altruistic of you..." Bracer coughs slightly at the mention of `brother' Onslaught. Oracle turns to glare at Bracer for a moment, then she turns back to Fortress. "Protect him against Ghost and the other fools in command. Not likely. And he needs protection from himself as much as he does against the high rankers. You probably would only make matters worse." Windfall nods sadly, "Before it gets better, it'll get worse, yeah. But, one day..." Her eyes get a far-oof, dreamy look. Bracer gives Oracle a look that reads "What did I do??" You say, "Brawl will most likely be dead before it gets better. Ghost cannoned him for seeing me." Skywise follows Windfall's gaze, trying to see what she's looking at. She shakes her head with a sigh. "You really should see somebody, I think your mind is going." Oracle just fixes Bracer with a look that says, "You know."...refering to the little coughing sound. Fortress says flatly, "I've bested Ghost. I've bested Onslaught. Razelore is my brother. I've worked with troubled soldiers before. I can help Brawl, Oracle. Question is are you willing to pay for that help?" You say, "Razelore is almost as bad as Onslaught. I've seen him treat Brawl pretty bad too, even stood there and watched Onslaught make Brawl sick. I have no respect for either of them." Windfall shakes her head at Skywise, "Just pay attention." Windfall transmits a radio message. Skywise attempts to stand still and stop fidgeting. Fortress shakes his head again, "That sounds like Razelore. Point is, he'd my brother. I protected him when I was a divsion head and now he'll do the same. I can help you Oracle. Sounds like you just don't have the courage to trust a 'con." Oracle laughs...almost hysterically at Fortress's words. She gestures at the Militia memebers. "Ask them about me and trusting Decepticons. Fear isn't a factor here." Skywise twiddles her fingers, examining the others here now that she has a chance. Fortress is almost pleading, "Let me help you then." Fortress turns to look at Bracer, "You know I can help this situation. Are _you_ willing to pay for my aid?" Bracer eyes Fortress "And what type of aid are you offering...really?" Oracle waves her hand again at the Militia. "Go ahead and ask them!" she says to Fortress. Windfall sighs at Oracle, "Ask us what? Why we protect you form yourself?" Fortress says, "I can get him out of punishment detail maybe. Then I can work with him so he won't keep risking himself like this. Look, I worked with other people in similar situations. I think I know what I am doing." You say, "How can I be certain though?" Fortress looks back at Oracle, "You can't, but I'm a bteer bet than anyone else." Bracer says, "Yes, Fortress...but -why- would you do this?" Oracle pauses for a moment, her anger slowly wearing away. "I'd have to think on it." Wildfire smiles wryly. "Because he's a true altruist." Fortress looks at Bracer, "The Decepticons are at war with the Autobots, but Crystal City is not. Ghsot and Onslaught have forgotten this. I mean to remind them." Bracer says, "I'm not sure it is them, Fortress....that scenario was instigated by....a warrior. And knowing that I don't usually refer to people as that, there's nothing else I can call him" Windfall squats down to eye level with Sky, "If you ever become a Con, I'll rip your optics out." Fortress shrugs, "Lets just say that they and I have a policy disagreement and I mean to win. I don't like seeing people wasted, and Brawl's ability is useless in the mines, especially over a tryst with some Crystal City nobody." He glances at Oracle, "No offense" Bracer cocks his head to the right "I doubt that Brawl sees Oracle as a nobody" Skywise grins at Windfall. "Okay. But does that mean i can't use them and then sell them as used goods like I did Yuppy?" Wildfire blinks and grins at Sky. "You sold him already?" Fortress says, "Yes, but Ghost and Onslaught do" Skywise tsks at Wildfire, "Course not! I told you could ycould only have him /after/ I was through!" Windfall pats Sky on the head, "We'll talk about that later." Skywise ohs. She is quiet for now, then. Wildfire laughs "Thanks, but I'm not really in the market for used mechs." Bracer mutters to Wildfire: "... certainly hope ..." Bracer ponders "Why are you telling us this, Fortress?" Fortress looks around, "Because I doubt any Decepticon spies are around right now. Everyone is so scared to disobey no one could here me. That and because I may need you later." Skywise's silence lasts only briefly. She tugs on Windfall. "Can I sell Commander Phalanx?" Wildfire turns sharply and shoots Sky a directly hostile look. "Over your dead body." Windfall swats Sky again, "You can't sell OPERATIONAL people, Sky." Skywise ducks to try to avoid being swatted. Fortress is more or less surrounded by CC militia members. It seems as if they are just talking. Hover Car glides into the area, having left the CC gates. Fortress turns back to Oracle, "Made up your mind? Do you want my help or not?" Skywise is near Windfall, grinning like an idiot and being a pain. Windfall misses on the first pass, but immediatley revereses for the backhand. Oracle sounds angry, but it isn't certain. "I would have nothing to give you in return for your help. You are wasting your time." Fortress says, "What? You can't spare a few parts? Specificly I need a port thrust stabilizer for a type Aq shuttle. Got something close?" Windfall looks over at Fortress, "I do." Hover Car notes the Decepticon, and alters course to sweep past the area of interest. Skywise acks as she's successfully smacked. You say, "I have no parts but the ones I need to function." Skywise offers, "I can sell you Yuppy and Phalanx parts!" and ducks to try to avoid the predicted smack. Bracer slides over to Oracle and mutters Fortress sighs and turns to Windfall, "If I help Brawl, will you give me that stabilizer?" Bracer mutters to Oracle: "... know you want ... but...think carefully to ... ... ... ... ... I ... ... ... the ... ... way ... ... and Brawl. ... ... ... want ... be in the middle ... ... decepticon power ..." Bracer mutters to you: "I know you want something done, but...think carefully to what you're about to do. I mean this in the best possible way, for you and Brawl. Do you really want to be in the middle of a decepticon power struggle?" Windfall swats Sky on the aft, "Not now." She eyes Fort oddly, "Why do I care what you and Brawl do? I deal in energon, credits and trade, bucko." Oracle mutters to Bracer: "... not ... this Decepticon's way is ... best way ... ... don't ... for ... struggles." mutter Bracer=I'm not certain this Decepticon's way is the best way, but I don't care for political struggles. Fortress shakes his head, "No sale. I don't need that part that bad." He looks back at Oracle, "Now if you were to pay Windfall for me...." Bracer mutters to Oracle: "That's ... I mean....he's suggesting that he assist Brawl in defiance ... Ghost ... Onslaught. ... you ... and have ... ... ... also ... him. You ... yourself Brawl ... not ... ... ... ... ... ... so ..." Bracer mutters to you: "That's what I mean....he's suggesting that he assist Brawl in defiance to Ghost and Onslaught. While you hate them, and have reason to, that could also endanger him. You said yourself, Brawl will not leave his brother, Onslaught. Onslaught however, is not so sentimental" Oracle mutters to Bracer: "I ... that as ... as you ... ... have no ... ... ... methods will ... ... ... trust ... But I ... ... about Brawl ... I ... ... ... internal ... ... wills. I have ... of ... to trade ..." mutter Bracer=I know that as well as you do. I have no idea what his methods will be, and I don't trust him. But I care more about Brawl than I do their stupid internal war of wills. Besides, I have nothing of value to trade anyhow. Fortress crosses his arms and waits. The fingers of his right hand absently stroke the red orange band of paint on his left arm. Bracer mutters to Oracle: "I'm just ... sure you're ... careful. ... ... ... wrong people ... ... fact ... worse for Brawl ... what he's ... ... ..." Bracer mutters to you: "I'm just making sure you're being careful. Working against the wrong people could in fact do worse for Brawl than what he's going through now." Fortress snaps, "Time's up, Oracle. Pay up or I go inform Ghost that Brawl just tried to escape from the Hellpits." Bracer furrows his brow and growls back at Fortress "I'd suggest you rethink that" Wildfire looks up at Fort and narrows her optics. Oracle narrows her optics to tiny, jade slits. She says nothing, her facial expression says it all, and it's expressing how low she thinks Fortress is. Windfall blinks and steps protectively in front of Sky, this could get ugly. Fortress kicks his rifle at Bracer, "What? Don't tell me Crystal City makes it a point to cut down defenceless people at their own gates" Skywise peeks around Windfall. Windfall raises her flamethrower slightly, "No, but we can make exceptions." Wildfire brings her gun to bear on Fort and nods in agreement with Windfall. Skywise ah what the hells and sticks her flamethrower out there too. Around Windie, of course. "Yeah, that they said!" Oracle looks almost pained. "Why would you do a thing like that?" Bracer says, "Actually, Fortress, I was thinking that Onslaught might like to know that you have no idea where Brawl is, because you're standing at my gates" Wildfire grins evilly. Bracer says, "An interesting interpretation of the bans, don't you think?" Fortress hesitates then glances at the femmes on either side. He turns back to Oracle, "Because I'll do just about anything in search of my own goals. Don't forget that." He looks at Bracer and the others. "I won't have any false escape reports about Brawl." Windfall simply waits for the attack order. Bracer says, "That is very good of you, Fortress" You say, "But what is it you want? Brawl isn't the kind of mech to merritt help from many people. And I told you, I have nothing to give /anyone/. And I wouldn't burden Windfall with my problems...she /does/ have a business to run." Windfall shrugs, "You are very rarely a bother, Oracle." Fortress shakes his head, "What I want, Oracle is this stupid war to be over and the Autobots defeated. To see that happen the Decepticons need to focus on the Autobots. Current leaders have lost focus. Brawl is loyal and brave. Stupid, but loyal. I can use that loyalty to make sure we Decepticons don't get beaten by a bunch of fools like the Autobots." He glances at Wildfire, trying to guess how determined these militia members are. Wildfire shoots Fort a level look back, still keeping him in her sights. Windfall ponders pulling out her Disruptor pistol as well. Oracle laughs unpleasantly. "So you too want to use Brawl. You're just the same as those I want Brawl saved from. If I had thought you were sincere beyond a doubt about helping Brawl, I would have paid /any/ price within my humble limits. But you seem just as content to cause him more trouble as to lessen it." Fortress snaps, "Damnit femme, I never said I wouldn't help him. Useful troops are happy, sane, well adjusted troops. Windfall edges Sky back, "Brace, I'm gonna take Sky home. Think you can handle Mr. Well Adjusted there?" You say, "Brawl is useful, but he isn't smart enough to know that he should be unhappy." Skywise snorts, "You mean we aren't going to get to blast him to kingdom come? And here I had my heart set on it. Ah well." Fortress shrugs, "Well I am and I still do it. Brawl has to be who is his, and I'll do what I can to make him happier." He glances at Skywise, "Don't try it wench." Windfall shakes her head, "It's time for you to..." She whirls around, optics blazing, "what. did. you. call. her?" Bracer raises a brow "I don't see that there was any reason for you to call her that, Fortress" Wildfire whoas and ponders if puttin a dart in Fort's head wouldn't be an act of mercy... Oracle quirks an optic ridge at Windfall, then smiles. Fortress looks at Windfall, "I said wench." He glances around briefly. Wildfire is still keeping her full attention on Fortress "You're not making any friends here, 'Forty'. I'd call it a night, if I were you." She smiles sweetly. Skywise tries to poke past Windfall. "Ma? You going to let him say that about me?" Windfall raises her flamethrower and strides over to pointblnk range, "Perhaps you've overstayed your welcome here, Con." The plasma hum as it builds up is unmistakeable. Fortress curses under his breath, realizing he made a major error, "of all the vulking..." He looks at Windfall, "I think you're right." Glancing around he leaps for the sky. Windfall tracks the Con with her weapon and ponders blowing him out of the sky. Then she thinks better of it and takes Sky by the shoulder, leading her off. She chuckles, "Of course I wouldn't let him do that." Oracle watches Fortress take off, her eyes still narowed. "He almost had me convinced, but his impatience ruined his 'opportunity.' Wildfire follows his movement, not letting him out of her sights, but not making any attempt to fire...yet. Skywise watches Fortress fly off and idly notes, "If you're anyhting like me, Old Lady, you've got a long memory. Windfall swats Sky again, "I'm not /that/ old." Tetrabomber accelerates away breaking the sound barrier as he flees. Wildfire shakes her head and returns her gun to subspace. "Nah, too easy." Tetrabomber has left. Wildfire says, "So...that was strange..." Bracer turns and gives a serious look to the others "If he comes around here again uttering threats like that, tell me, and notify Decepticon command. I'm not going to have him holding things like that over anyone's head." Wildfire nods and then grins. "My pleasure." Brawl transmits: ' hey ora..sorry. kinda passed out.'. Oracle's face seems to soften as she recieves a message on her radio. You transmit 'Brawl? What happened?' to Brawl. Brawl transmits: ' got hit on the head for falling and blacked out. im okay now though.'. Wildfire ahs and shrugs as she makes an educated guess who Ora's talking to. You transmit 'Did the falling knock you out, or did they hit you again because you fell?' to Brawl. Oracle looks relieved. Wildfire smiles "He's all right, then?" Brawl transmits: ' uh..both?'. Oracle nods her head. "Yes, he was knocked down by a supervisor at the mines he's cleaning." Wildfire rolls her optics "How civilized." You say, "See why I'm so concerned?" Bracer shrugs slightly "That's the way it is in the construction business" You transmit 'I'm glad to hear you're feeling better now. Are you still working?' to Brawl. Wildfire says, "Yeah, but still..." Brawl transmits: ' yeah. i woke up and went right back to work'. You say, "Still...what?" You transmit 'Are they still yelling at you?' to Brawl. Wildfire shakes her head. "Sorry, I was referring to Bracer. And, yes, I'm sort of beginning to see your point." Brawl transmits: ' naa. im workin hard and i havent fallen in a while. they're happy.'. You transmit 'Be careful then. Maybe if they stay happy you can go back home.' to Brawl. Bracer says, "Perhaps he'll learn how to take care of himself better down there, become more self-sufficient. Dunno....being pushed around is part of the game there, it's honest life, when you're working." Wildfire says, "I met him once, and I hope for his sake you're right." Brawl transmits: ' i hope so..'. You say, "They push him for the wrong reasons. And he doesn't deserve the kind of punishment he deals out. You know how unlikely it was that he ever got a femme. No one saw it coming, and now it's understandable that he wouldn't want to lose his femme now that he has one." Wildfire sighs. "My sympathies." You transmit 'I hope so too.' to Brawl. Brawl transmits: ' hey. if you were a con.. things woudl be ok'. You transmit 'I don't think it would make things better Brawl. I don't think your faction likes me very much.' to Brawl. Brawl transmits: ' lemme ask'. Bracer says, "Onslaught, perhaps, Fortress would as well....but not miners. That's just the way it goes there. Sad but true" Oracle nods at Wildfire. "Thank you." She seems /much/ calmer now. Wildfire says, "I don't get it. They're -brothers-, for Primus' sake!" Brawl transmits: ' triage said yeah things would be okay if you were a con'. Bracer says, "And Phalanx is your brother, Wildfire" Mecha-Feline opens an optic and yawns. Wildfire smiles wryly "You've noticed?" Oracle looks like she's trying hard not to laugh. You transmit 'I don't think the Decepticons want me Brawl.' to Brawl. Bracer looks nonchalently at the door to the house "Hard to believe." Mecha-Feline opens her other optic and stretches. Bracer sees movement and turns his head "Hello Duskstalker" Wildfire nods sagely. "Yes. Starfire would me much more likely, right?" Brawl transmits: ' i want you baby.'. Mecha-Feline lifts her tail to friendly kitty postion. "Hello?' Wildfire nods at Duskstalker. "Hello." Oracle pauses in her radio conversation for a moment to pat Duskstalker on the head. "Hello Duskstaler. How are you?" You transmit 'But I don't think they would have a use for me Brawl.' to Brawl. Mecha-Feline sits up and purrs briefly at the pat. "Fine." Brawl transmits: ' i can teach ya to be a good con!'. Mecha-Feline says, "LEast you have siblings." Wildfire grins "Really? Starfire figures I'm something like Marauder." Shrugs "I have no idea, myself. It's my job to balance Starfire and Phalanx out, I think." She laughs. "A thankless task." Bracer says, "I didn't know your mother, Wildfire. But I know your father...there are some aspects in him, that I can see in you. A fire inside, for one, that Phalanx seems to have tempered. But you're very different from him" Wildfire shrugs "I'll take your word for it." Mecha-Feline says, "Least you know your father." Wildfire shrugs again "I don't know my father. I know some guy called Marauder." Bracer sighs "You're starting to sound like Phalanx there" You transmit 'I still don't think that your faction would accept me. I'm not made to be a warrior and I don't like hitting things very much.' to Brawl. Brawl transmits: ' ya coudl fix things.'. Wildfire looks up at Bracer "That's not what I meant. He -is- my father, but I'll never get to know him as such, right? I want to have the next best thing, and that'll be to really get to know him." Mecha-Feline says, "A worthy endeavor." Bracer nods with Duskstalker "Agreed" Wildfire nods and smiles "He's worth it...I hope." Bracer says, "I hope he is too...not sure, but...well..." You transmit 'I am sort of good at fixing things, but I don't think they trust me. Besides, joining the Decepticons for your sake only wouldn't look good on my resume.' to Brawl. Wildfire smiles and decides to drop the subject, it's making people uncomfortable, and that's unacceptable. "So, this Fortress guy. You know him?" Mecha-Feline says, "My mother knew him." Brawl transmits: ' okay. just thougth id ask'. Bracer shakes his head slightly "I know him, but know more off him. He was more of a passing acquaintance. He was incarcerated here for a number of cycles...quarter of a vorn. His mate stayed in the house the entire time. Nova, was her name. Wildfire nods "Really? Does he pull these kinds of stunts often?" Oracle moves away to somewhere more quiet. You transmit 'I only wish that you didn't have to be punished for seeing me.' to Brawl. Brawl transmits: ' Its my fault. i fell for a girl on the other side.'. You transmit 'It shouldn't matter /who/ you fell for.' to Brawl. Brawl transmits: ' im not allowed to like anyone who isnt a con.'. You transmit 'But that's silly. Your faction is too severe. I can understand it if they didn't want you seeing an Autobot, but I'm just a normal civilian...a nobody.' to Brawl. Brawl transmits: ' ghost said i cant be friends with anyone who isnt a con. its not good for someone of my intelligence. ghost must think im smart.'. You transmit 'Ghost knows that someone outside the faction can influence you, and she doesn't like it. She knows how attached you are to me and I think she believe's this is dangerous to you.' to Brawl. Brawl transmits: ' shes just lookin out for me huh?'. You transmit 'In a way, yes. But she does it the wrong way.' to Brawl. Brawl transmits: ' the boss is /never/ wrong'. You transmit 'Ghost is never wrong?' to Brawl. Brawl transmits: ' nope. the boss is never wrong.'. You transmit 'Oh, Onslaught is never wrong? Well, what does he say about me?' to Brawl. Brawl transmits: ' i dont know. havent asked him. hes never wrong and ghsot is never wrong'. You transmit 'Then I must be wrong often.' to Brawl. Brawl transmits: ' why's that.'. You transmit 'Because I don't often agree with Ghost or Onslaught.' to Brawl. Brawl transmits: ' i gotta go. triage isnt too happy.'. You transmit 'What is it now?' to Brawl. Brawl transmits: ' she says i should stop radioin you till im outta trouble.'. You transmit 'Really? I wish your superiors would contact me directly in this matter instead of punishing you. Tell them this.' to Brawl. Triage transmits: 'Triage here.'. You transmit 'Yes?' to Triage. Triage transmits: 'Brawl said you wanted to talk to me.'. You transmit 'Not you specifically. I told him that I wanted those in command of him to contact /me/ about this matter instead of constantly punishing him. It takes two for this kind of trouble.' to Triage. Triage transmits: 'Yes, but we can't stick you in the mines, much as you might deserve it. Brawl is a soldier, he disobeyed orders, so he gets punished for it. If you want to asuage your guilt, break off your relationship with him.'. You transmit 'I'm certain that if I was much less intelligent than I am, and didn't have such strong beliefs, no one would care that Brawl was seeing me. I don't think Ghost, or Onslaught, trusts me to keep my opinions to myself and not influence Brawl. But it doesn't matter, really. Brawl is far more loyal to Onslaught than he really deserves. I know this isn't the most tactful thing to say to you, Triage, but it is my thoughts on the matter.' to Triage. Triage transmits: 'Ma'am, your intelligence has nothing to do with Brawl's predicament, the fact you're an Unaffil does, especially since you're one who seems to have no real idea what kind of messes she creates by interfering in Decepticon affairs.'. You transmit 'I don't care about your /affairs/. I care about an individual, and what I see is someone who can never please those who he so dearly wants to please. I also see someone who is constantly punished because he now has something no one thought he would ever have, and those who should care for him, want to take that away.' to Triage. Triage transmits: 'Lady, if I thought you gave a good goddamn about Brawl, I'd be more than happy to dance at your bonding but the fact of the matter is you are continually letting him get himself into trouble because of his relationship with you. You don't seem to care that he's getting punished because he's letting you come before his orders. I don't know or care how you unafills run things, but around here couples know that orders come first, before family, before friends, even before the love of your life.'. You transmit '*There is a long silence before Oracle speaks again.* I see. But I saw no reason to order the seperation in the first place. He did nothing then to be punished.' to Triage. Triage transmits: '*YOU* don't get to decide that, COC does.'. You transmit 'I never said I got to decide anything. I only stated I didn't understand. Perhaps it's very unmilitary of me to think this way, but I want to understand /why/ everything is. I am never content just to follow.' to Triage. Triage transmits: 'then learn how to ask questions and quit assuming none of us care about Brawl.'. You transmit '*Her voice calms down quite a bit.* Perhaps that was too far fetched an assumption of mine, but I really don't understand the workings of your faction. And it is in our nature to dislike that which we cannot understand. But....' to Triage. Triage transmits: 'but, if you're as intelligent as you think you are you should know that *smart* people talk, not assume'. You transmit 'There is more than one kind of intelligence. One dealing with books and knowlege, another dealing with life and people. I have the former, not the latter.' to Triage. Triage transmits: 'then you better learn it and learn it fast, books can't get hurt, people can. I don't want Brawl getting hurt.'. You transmit '*Her voice softens noticably.* Although you don't seem to believe me, neither do I? But it seems I will hurt him either way. You heard how he reacted over 'losing' his petro rabitt, how will he feel when he loses a real femme. But everyone insists that I am hurting him by seeing him.' to Triage. Triage transmits: '*sighs, softening some herself* I know...but...better he lose you than he loses himself.'. Triage transmits: '*sighs* I know.'. You transmit 'Do you see any solution?' to Triage. Triage transmits: 'No, unfortunately.'. You transmit '*laughs slightly* Brawl tried to come up with a solution, but it wasn't a very likely one.' to Triage. Triage transmits: 'what? *G*'. You transmit 'Didn't he tell you?' to Triage. Triage transmits: 'believe it was something about you joining the empire...*chuckles* Not likely, hmm?'. You transmit 'No, it isn't. They wouldn't want me, and I doubt that I would survive long. /He/ seemed to think it was a good idea though. Claimed he could teach me to be a 'good Con'.' to Triage. Triage transmits: '..well, Brawl's idea of a good con, sure...'. You transmit 'Not really, he wanted to teach me to hit things.' to Triage. Triage transmits: 'we're not all like Brawl Oracle.'. You transmit 'I know you aren't. Lunar is quite different from Brawl, and you are very, very different from Lunar. Besides, I get along with some members of your faction.' to Triage. Triage transmits: '*half-jokingly* Sure you don't wanna join up? We have an excellent benefits package.."'. You transmit 'I don't think they would let me to be perfectly honest. If you haven't noticed, I do poorly with authority.' to Triage. Triage transmits: '*snickers* So does Lunar'. You transmit 'I'm hardly Lunar...though some people are begining to think I am.' to Triage. Triage transmits: 'you protected him'. You transmit 'There's another reason your Chain of Command wouldn't accept my affiliation. And joining because I care for Brawl wouldn't look good on my resume.' to Triage. Triage transmits: 'yah, makes sense...*sighs*...'. You transmit 'Plus, I have nothing useful to give them, and from what I understand, your faction isn't in the habit of keeping those with no use.' to Triage. Triage transmits: 'yeah, we set our elderly out on asteroids to starve t'death...'. You transmit 'Pardon?' to Triage. Triage transmits: '...sorry, sarcasm...'. You transmit 'I see. *there is a pause* I'm sorry I've been so rude to you lately. It's just that ...well... I don't know what to do.' to Triage. Triage transmits: '...same here...I apologize as well.'. You transmit 'I realize that perhaps I was a little selfish, but I was a little too confident that I was /right/.' to Triage. Triage transmits: '*chuckles* Guilty of that myself...'.
