November 28th (2) ((Wildfire, Starfire, Whiplash, Lunar, Solar, Duskstalker)) (U,U,D,D,D,U) Oracle walks into the area. Starfire says, "I don't know... I don't think there's anyone else left in our family who's still in the Empire, except for Marauder, of course." Wildfire is standing at the top of the stairs to the Militia House, talking to Starfire. Oracle nods to Starfire and Wildfire. Wildfire nods to Oracle then turns back to Starfire and grins. "Poor him." Starfire watches Oracle carefully as she arrives, then nods back to her. Oracle smiles wearily to Starfire. Starfire says, "He's not going to leave, ever." Wildfire shrugs. "No, and I wouldn't ask him too." She turns and smiles at Oracle. "Hello. How is everything?" You say, "Things are well enough I suppose." Wildfire nods "Glad to hear it." You say, "And how are things with you, Wildfire?" Wildfire shrugs. "Can't complain." She straightens and takes another cursory look at the crowd in the courtyard. "Well, I've got to go. I'll see you both later, perhaps." She grins at Starfire. "If Maraudes calls you again, tell him I'm going to take it that his silence means he doesn't like me anymore." Starfire blinks. "I don't think he means that at all." You say, "Good evening then Wildfire." Starfire says, "Oh. Goodbye, Cousin." Wildfire shrugs and puts on an air of mock hauteur. "Well, he obviously likes you better." She grins and nods. "Good evening, Oracle, cousin." Wildfire has left. Oracle sighs. Starfire quietly watches the other femme. She just can't understand her. Why does Oracle feel sorrier for Lunar than for the people that Lunar has hurt in the past and will hurt in the future. Oracle looks back to Starfire, considering her carefully. Starfire's bafflement is obvious. It seems so very clear to her and to others, too. Better to save those who are innocent and stop the guilty one rather than let him destroy more lives. Oracle scuffles the ground a bit with one of her feet. "I suppose you must think I've taken leave of all my senses...that I should be locked away perhaps." Starfire says frankly, "You're not as bad as Shadowfire, but you sure do act weird." Oracle thinks. "Shadowfire? I think I remember him. Only saw him once before he went mad and was destroyed." Starfire says, "Yes, he was executed. He ended up attacking his commander." You say, "At least I don't have to worry about meeting /that/ fate. I have no commander." Starfire eyes Oracle. "If you attack Commander Phalanx, I'll stop you." Oracle laughs. "I have no intentions of attacking Phalanx. Although he does not hold the highest spot in the rank of my friends, I have no reason to do that. I have no reason or desire to attack /anyone./" Starfire points out, "Well, Shadowfire did weird stuff." You say, "It may be true that I am strange, but I am hardly the same as Shadowfire. Not all people who are abnormal follow the same pattern of abnormality." Starfire doesn't answer that, just comments quietly, "I'd better go inside." You say, "Have a nice evening then Starfire. And don't worry, /I/ certainly won't hurt you, I can give you my word on that." Starfire says, "Maybe not you, but maybe someone else instead." *Starfire leaves* Whiplash emerges from the Militia House, stashing her battle blade which has been returned to her, and making her way toward the gate. She keeps her senses keyed up for any trouble, still feeling as though she is in enemy territory here. Oracle is standing out on the street looking thoughtful. Whiplash's gaze catches for some reason on Oracle, even though she does not know this individual ... perhaps its because Oracle is standing there seemingly motionless amidst the bustle of the courtyard. Whiplash shakes her head and continues on, her strides lengthening and her tentacles thrashing around her, eager to be out of the city. Oracle looks rather lost in thought, even to the point of not noticing the bustle of the crowd as they jostle her. Whiplash has left. Oracle walks into the holding cells, a rather thoughtful look on her face. Lunar stands very near the bars, watching the entrance, so he sees Oracle quickly. "Hello." Solar nods at the newcomer "you know her bro?" Oracle bows her head in greeting. "Hello Lunar." She then looks to the mech whom she doesn't recognize. "I see you have a visitor." Lunar shrugs. "Solar, this is Oracle. Oracle, my brother, Solar." Oracle extends a hand towards Solar. "Pleased to meet you." Solar narrows his optics and crosses his arms "You're the reason he is in here?" Oracle looks down. "We are both the reason he is here. He couldn't have been here without himself." Lunar looks at Solar. "Actually, it's entirely my fault. I chose to torture her. And she's all right." Oracle glances back at Lunar. "But if I had listened to your 'warnings' in the first place, it might not have happened." Lunar frowns. "You can't change who you are. You weren't capable of believing I could be that . . . cruel." You say, "Anyone with any sense would take a person's own self judgement into serious consideration. I didn't. I paid for it." Lunar narrows his optics. "Pointless conversation." Solar shrugs "If you don't mind I am going to reserve my judgement on this matter" You say, "Well, take it in a pointful direction then Lunar. I know you're capable of that." Lunar says, "All right. Mostly thanks to you, Oracle, I've agreed to stand trial. Now we need to use every trick in the book to get me sprung." You say, "Have you aquired a lawyer yet?" Lunar says, "No. I don't especially know who would agree to defend me." Solar says, "I have taken that monumental task actually" You say, "You have? Are you skilled with laws and words?" Lunar blinks. "I thought you were just using that as an excuse. I wasn't aware you had gone into law." Solar shrugs "its just another form of destruction isn't it?, and anyways what laws you are standing up at a decepticon trial brother not a CC one Lunar crosses his arms. "There will still be laws, if only shams of them." Oracle looks confused. "He is not being tried here?" Solar says, "Well brother we may be able to ask for co-council then, but we would need someone above reproach and I have a rather savage idea for that" Lunar cocks an optic ridge. "Who?" Solar just smirks "we ask a bot to help, I believe his name is Perceptor" Lunar snarls. "No. No Bots are going to defend me." Oracle glances at Lunar. "Not all of them are guilty for what happened to you." Lunar says, "They are our ENEMIES, slaggit." Solar says, "Who would you suggest then? Oracle Maybe?" Lunar laughs. Oracle shakes her head. "No, I couldn't be council, I was the victim." Solar says, "frag...I am rather smart for a con, but I don't know all the tricks" You say, "There has to be someone that is both impartial and knowledgable in the ways of the law." Lunar frowns. "Not that I know." You say, "We could post some sort of advertisement." Solar says, "knowledgeable in the law yes we have plenty of those, but impartial? no "laughs as he thinks of Onslaught as council "definately not" Lunar shakes his head. "Bad move, Oracle. Public sentiment is too high already." You say, "Then what do you propose? Being your own council?" Lunar sighs. "Another bad move, but the lesser of two evils." Solar says, "What abot Silentsteel? or maybe Triage?" Lunar sighs. "Triage is bonded to Onslaught. Silentsteel . . . I don't know." Solar sighs "Valour maybe or Diktat?, I suppose though that Shockwave and his cold logic may be the best choice" Lunar nods. "IF he takes my side." You say, "Is your faction still showing the same attitude towards you?" Solar says, "do you know who the prosecuting attourney is going to be?" Lunar says, "Yes to Oracle, no to Solar." Lunar says, "With my luck, it will be Onslaught." Oracle frowns...she doesn't like Onslaught. Solar says, "My guess is that Onslaught will be the judge" You say, "Where is the trial to be held?" Solar says, "most likely Darkmount" You say, "When was it taken out of Militia hands and put into Decepticon hands? I was under the impression from the start that the trial would be Militia business." Solar shakes his head "Lunar's not a civilian and has to be turned over to the military to stand trial in this case he is turned over to the Cons." Lunar says, "In theory, at least." You say, "Then why would Phalanx push for me to have a trial if the decision was out of my hands from the very start?" Lunar frowns. "Because no one will play by the rules or the theories. They want my head." Solar says, "If you were to actually make a coplaint against him Lunar could be tried by both groups" You say, "I see. But the Decepticons would hold him for trial no matter what I said...or did?" Lunar nods. "And the CCM will probably try." He narrows his optics. "But I'm going to beat them at their own game, so help me Primus." Solar says, "Sure, All they have to know is that Lunar did something that pissed them off thats enough for them" You say, "I still think that they are over reacting." Lunar says, "This isn't just about you, Oracle. You're just the excuse." You say, "But I still gave them an excuse. I feel almost worse about that than I do if it had been something worth making a fuss over." Lunar's voice becomes gentle . . . for him, at least. "If you hadn't they would have found something else. It's not your fault." You say, "I just feel I should fight it...but I can't. It's not /fair/ of them." Lunar leans up against the bars, looking at her. "Life isn't fair." You say, "That doesn't give any of us an excuse to be unfair though. And it doesn't give us a reason to let those who are unfair walk all over us either." Lunar says, "My being fair I don't care about. I do care about not letting them walk all over me." Oracle nods her head. "They have no reason to punish you." Solar chuckles at that remark of Lunar's. Lunar says, "They have reason, but their reason's aren't good enough." You say, "True. I just wish they would have some sense." Lunar snorts. "Not possible. Otherwise they would never have been elected leaders." You say, "You have no faith in any kind of leadership then?" Lunar says, "That was a joke, Oracle. And I have little faith in leadership." Solar says, "Our leadership is never based on faith but on fear"Solar says, "Our leadership is never based on faith but on fear" You say, "That is one reason I don't like your faction." Mecha-Feline stalks into the cell area, like a shadow that is not meant to be seen. Lunar frowns. "That's not the way it should be. Not the way it was meant to be." You say, "How /was/ it meant to be then?" Lunar says, "From the beginning we have followed two tenents. Honor and Glory. Following those, respect and loyalty will follow. But first our leadership and then many of the Cons turned away from that path." Mecha-Feline finds a nice dark corner to lay in and listens. You say, "That is sad indeed. Do you think it will ever be restored?" Solar says, "Not until Megatron or someone of equal tenacity appears" You hear a very faint... purring? Lunar sighs. "It will be restored. I just don't know when." Solar looks around for the source of the sound. Lunar blinks at Solar. "What is it?" Mecha-Feline's purring suddenly stops. Oracle seems unconcerned. Solar says, "I thought I heard a...Purring? Its gone now." Mecha-Feline continues to watch and listen, content to still her purring. Observe this mech she'd tracked down. Lunar narrows his optics to slits. "Purring?" You say, "It's probably nothing." Then you hear something squeaking and scurrying. Solar nods. Lunar hisses. "Now I heard something." Mecha-Feline eyes the cyberrats but leaves them be. Oracle looks around and spots a Cyber-rat scurry into a corner. The rats scurry along into the darkness, squeaking soon gone. Mecha-Feline is still in her dark corner, optics down to low luminescence. Oracle sees the rats scurry off and ignores them. Lunar passes his optics around the room. He passes the corner, then stops and looks back. He narrows his optics further, to angry slits. "You. In the corner. Come out. Now." Mecha-Feline blinks. She gets up and stretches, then just stalks out of the area. No longer interested in the goings on here. Lunar's mask looks livid with anger. Oracle jumps with a start as Duskstalker reveals herself with her exit. Lunar snarls. "Duskstalker!" Solar just folloes the cats exit with his optics revealing no fear. Oracle calms down a moment later and casts her optics on Lunar. Lunar manages to keep himself under control . . . mostly. He does slam his fist against the bars. "Slag." You say, "What's wrong?" Lunar says, "Duskstalker. She was one of those instrumental in my capture." You say, "I don't think she meant any ill will by it. In fact, from what I've heard and seen, she feels almost badly over her involvement." Lunar growls. "Well, that doesn't really make anything different, does it?" You say, "Intention is more important than action, Lunar. She had nothing personal against you." Solar says, "I am sure she was just following orders." Lunar looks at Oracle sternly. "Just because I continue to insist you had no guilt in this matter does not mean I will be so generous with others. She is partially to blame for this." You say, "That is true, but being angry will only make matters worse for you. Save your anger for the ones who intentionlly did you wrong...like Onslaught." Lunar sighs. "I have enough anger to go around." You say, "That isn't a good thing Lunar." Lunar says, "I know that. It is also true." You say, "Perhaps if you didn't feed it so frequently, it wouldn't breed so rapidly." Lunar says, "It is who I am." You say, "It is who you became." Lunar says, "Same result." You say, "The result is the same, but the meaning can be differnt. It is not intrinsic inside of you Lunar. You were different once, and that might not have been intrinsic either. The point is, is that if it isn't intrinsic to you, it is changeable...moldable." Lunar says, "There is a time in one's life when he can change, and a time when his actions become set as personality." Oracle sighs. "We've had this argument many times before, and neither of us seems capable of convincing the other." Solar sigh " are we a creature of our environment or of our programing, only Primus knows for sure" Lunar frowns. "And more importantly, if I could change would I want to." You say, "You might. You're certainly not happy the way you are now. You're not even content from what I see." Lunar says, "Yet I know this life." You say, "Better the enemy you know, than the possible friend you don't know?" Lunar looks at her, not speaking. "Maybe," he finally says. You say, "I'll let you think on that. I must be going now. Get word to me of any new developments in this matter." Solar decides not to head back to the no tell motel he spent tha last nights at instead he crashes abainst the back wall and uses the guards recharge cradle for the night. You say, "Good evening to you both." Oracle heads for the door.
