November 12th, ((Ghost, Duskstalker, Perceptor, Kimakaze, Wildfire, Dagger, Ripsaw)) (D, U, A, D, U, A, D)) You transmit 'Hello?' to Ghost. Mecha-Feline is sleeping by one of Omega's feet. Oracle is pacing back and forth. Mecha-Feline wakes up and yawns. Perceptor nods hello to Oracle, and kneels to pet Duskstalker as well... Mecha-Feline stretches and sits up. She looks up at Perceptor. "Back again I see." she purrs. Oracle nods to Perceptor. "I haven't seen you in a while. How are you?" Perceptor shrugs, "I cannot complain, really. I've been quite busy, but content for the time being. How have you two been?" Oracle smiles cryptically and sighs. "Hectic but dull at the same time." Mecha-Feline says, "I am well thank you for asking." Perceptor smiles politely at the two, and asks, "So...do either of you have anything interesting planned for today? I've been working of research with Elita in Iacon for most of the week, and I must say it's lost its charm rather quickly..." Mecha-Feline's tail tip twitches. "Just planning on my nightly prowl for food. Otherwise nothing really planned." she purrs. You say, "I never have much planned these days...I don't have the energy for it." Perceptor nods, "I see. Well, I'm simply enjoying the momentary freedom. I really must say, this area of Crystal City is very relaxing at times." Ghost transmits: 'Hello?'. Mecha-Feline says, "It has its moments." You transmit 'This /is/ Ghost I am speaking with, correct?' to Ghost. You say, "The City is hardly as relaxing as it used to be. Yet for the Autobots it might be more so." Ghost transmits: 'This is Ghost yes. WHo are you and how did you get this frequency?'. Perceptor nods, and sighs, "Still, I find it very much so. Though, in contrast to my usual routine, it's the most serene part of my day, so I really can't complain." Oracle moves away to do her radioing without distraction. She nods a farewell to Perceptor and Duskstalker. You transmit 'This is Oracle. We've met briefly, and I've seen you in the Blaster on occassion. I don't know if you remember me. As to how I got the frequency, I did a little guessing and testing, inconviencing a few others.' to Ghost. Ghost transmits: 'And what have I done to deserve such ferreting out my dear?'. You transmit 'It isn't what you've done, exactly. I'm speaking to you on behalf of Lunar. I don't know how wide spread the hunt for him is, but I know Onslaught knows of the incident. I don't know enough about your faction to guess whether or not you are kept well informed.' to Ghost. Ghost transmits: 'I am rather well informed of the incedent of which you speak.. Who am I speaking with?'. You transmit 'The historian Oracle, a citizen of Crystal City.' to Ghost. Ghost transmits: 'And what interest do you have in a member of my empire?'. You transmit 'Lunar told me you were his last chance. He said he would attempt to contact you. I was wondering if he had succeeded as of yet.' to Ghost. Ghost transmits: 'I have yet to be contacted by that unit.'. You transmit 'I see. *There is a pause* You know that everyone seems to be going wild about finding him, right?' to Ghost. Ghost transmits: 'That I am completly aware of. madame. If you know where he is, best inform him that o turn himself in to me is his only chance not to be shot on site by everyone.'. You transmit 'And what will you do with him?' to Ghost. Ghost transmits: 'talk.. to him.'. You transmit 'What about the militia?' to Ghost. Ghost transmits: 'That is not for you to know madame.'. You transmit '*Oracle sighs into her radio* I don't want to be the one to set him up in a trap. I'm just trying to find the best way out for him. He /did/ indicate that you were his last chance, so I took it upon myself to see if he was right.' to Ghost. Ghost transmits: 'Send him to me..'. You transmit 'How can I be certain that he will be better off with you? I don't mean to be rude, but almost everytime I've seen a member of your faction deal with someone, it has always been dire and unpleasant. It goes against my principles to lead anyone into that position.' to Ghost. You transmit 'Hello?' to Kimakaze. Kimakaze transmits: ' Greetingsss.'. You transmit 'I know your opinion on Onslaught, but what do you say about Ghost?' to Kimakaze. Kimakaze transmits: ' She isn't all that bad, but she can be very strict and firm. I prefer to stay away.'. You transmit 'Is she more likely to keep, or break, her word?' to Kimakaze. Kimakaze transmits: 'Ghost iss a femme of her word.'. You transmit '*There is a short pause.* Thank you. I'm still trying to contact Lunar. Have your faction members been giving you any trouble since we last spoke?' to Kimakaze. Kimakaze transmits: ' Oh, just the usual so where'ss the data we aske for, KIMMY?'. You transmit 'I take it, from the sound of your voice, that you don't care to be called Kimmy. Did you tell them I'm moving as fast as I can?' to Kimakaze. Kimakaze transmits: 'Yess I did. But I still am required to get resultss very soon. Until then they'll just keep bullying me.'. You transmit 'I see. I have spoken directly with Ghost on this matter. I am currently waiting her response. I'm looking at all my options.' to Kimakaze. Kimakaze transmits: ' Well, just try to get him to meet me, okay?'. You transmit 'I will.' to Kimakaze. Kimakaze transmits: ' Thankyou'. You transmit 'I'll let you know when it's set up. Out.' to Kimakaze. Wildfire shrugs "No problem. I have work to do anyway." Oracle walks into the area. Wildfire nods a greeting to Oracle. Oracle nods back to Wildfire and nods to Kimakaze. Kimakaze sits down in a little corner and seesm to be thinking deeply. Oracle moves towards the gates. Wildfire frowns at something, but shrugs it off. Wildfire says, "Well, as I said, I have work to do." Ghost transmits: 'If he does not present himself to me, He will be tracked down.. adn the consequences will be most dire.. Period. He is a member of my military forces and has disgraced us all. What happens to hi,m is none of your concern, my dear.'. Wildfire nods to Oracle and Kimakaze and walks out through the gates. Wildfire has left. You transmit '*Oracle sounds determined* Oh, but it is my concern. I've very concerned.' to Ghost. Ghost transmits: 'WHy.'. You transmit 'Because. He attacked me, and everyone is all in a fuss over it. I didn't ask for punishment or justice or revenge. It all got out of control...and that was my fault. So I'm trying to fix it.' to Ghost. Ghost transmits: 'Then take your statement to the Crystal City militia and have them inform me that the hunt is to be called off. That is the only way that htis will settle down.'. Mecha-Feline hmmmrmmm You transmit 'They won't listen to me.' to Ghost. Ghost transmits: 'Try. again.. For Lunars sake.'. You transmit '*Laughs softly* You're the only one I've talked to that has told me to do anything for his sake...really.' to Ghost. Ghost transmits: 'I dont like my warriors loosing their lives over idiotic antics.'. You transmit 'I shall make that request, but I must ask you another thing.' to Ghost. Ghost transmits: '*spoken softly, yet somehow much more sinister than a growl* /what?/'. You transmit 'I'm sorry to be such a bother to you, for I know you must be busy, but I wish to know about Kimakaze. Apparently she was sent to retrive Lunar. If the Militia call off the search, will she suffer any reprecusions because of it. I wouldn't want to cause her trouble too.' to Ghost. Ghost transmits: 'If he returns to me and the milita is calle dof, she will be assigned elsewhere and suffer no repercussions.'. You transmit '*Sounds satisfied* Thank you. I will do my best to return him to you. I will trouble you no further.' to Ghost. Oracle walks back towards the city. Dagger looks about at the gate... Oracle sees Dagger and nods to him. Dagger sighs, and wonders if it's worth it to go back into the bar and risk meeting more bloody cons. He notices Oracle's nod, hesitates a bit, then returns it. "Uh.. hey, Oracle.." Dagger says, "You ok?... I heard 'bout what happened.." Oracle nods. "Yes, I'm fine now...thank you for asking. And how are you?" Dagger says, "Oh, I'm doin' ok.. just wish I could see some action. Cybertron's too quiet with this energy shortage." You say, "And the Blaster is too quiet without the Decepticons making some noise." Dagger grumbles, "You'd think that's a GOOD thing... so, the cons ain't allowed in the city?" You say, "Apparently so." Dagger says, "Heh, great. Gettin' tired 'a seeing them walk in the place. Well, I might be alone in that regard, but.." Oracle nods. "You're welcome to your opinion, but I miss their presence. A few of my friends are Decepticons." Dagger says, "Hey, let me tell ya something, Oracle. They may be your friends now, but if they ever take over this city, they might be the ones lashing your back.." Dagger shrugs. "Well, betcha heard that before, but.." Oracle is silent for a moment. "Actually, no one's said anything remotely like that to me before. It isn't often someone warns me about associating with them." Dagger is visibly taken aback by that. "Not even a bot? Man, I gotta have a chat with our Propaganda Minister. He's sleepin' on the job," he jokes, cracking a devious grin. Oracle smiles. "Most of the lower ranking Decepticons aren't all that bad. I only have a problem with those of a high rank." Dagger says, "Like Shox? Ain't surprised. I'd think even some of his employees, so to speak, don't like 'im." Oracle shakes her head. "I've never met Shockwave, though I've heard enough stories to be glad of that. I was refering to Onslaught and Razelore." Dagger says, "That so? Yeah, I've seen Onslaught in the Blaster. Now what's he done?" You say, "Let's just say that I'm not impressed with him at all." Dagger recalls Oracle gets nervous about ratting out on people, and doesn't inquire further on Onslaught. "Ok... same story with Razelore?" Oracle shrugs. "Pretty much. I don't miss their presence at the Blaster. But Triage is nice, I get along with Darkraid, and I miss Brawl." Dagger says, "Brawl?" He thinks for a moment, bring up Brawl's profile. "That guy's one of the most vicious cons around. Well... supposedly." You say, "He just has a bad temper...and he's easily manipulated by others in his faction...mainly Onslaught, which is sad." Dagger hms. o O (I think that's one reason..) "So you think he's a good kid otherwise, huh?" He considers the possibility... Oracle sighs. "The sad thing about this war is that mechs who might have been friends, and would sit down at a bar together, are split by faction." Dagger doesn't say anything for a while; that really got him. "Well... that's war for ya. Heck, I know I keep whining about things being boring, but I also know that if things heat up again, people are gonna start droppin'. People who shouldn't, usually." Oracle nods. "I wish the war were over, but if wishing would do it, then it would be over in a moment. I think we're all just plain tired of it." Dagger says, "Ain't as easy as wishin' it's over. The war started over beliefs, and nobody seems to wanna change their minds. For it to stop... one faction or the other would have to be wiped out. Well, I could be wrong, but I doubt it." You say, "I only hope that isn't the final answer, because if it is, I don't want either side to win. I have too many friends on both sides to risk having one faction wiped out." Dagger says, "Then it isn't gonna end, ever. People are just gonna keep dyin' and dyin' in this war forever." You say, "There /has/ to be a solution." Dagger frowns, shaking his head. "'Doubt it..." You say, "How can you keep fighting with such a gloomy outlook?" Dagger shrugs. "Because losing's even gloomier." Oracle sighs. "So where were you headed?" Dagger blinks, and thinks about that. "Uh..." Dagger looks at the arches. Crystal City. Oh. "Was gonna go drink again... I dunno, feel bad about drinkin' so much, but I don't have much else to do." You say, "War breeds drinking it seems." Dagger says, "Better than dying. Sorta." Oracle quirks an optic ridge. "Sorta?" Dagger says, "Well... I knew some folks who died a little more with each drink. Not really physically; you can always replace corroded parts. But, well, the drinks became everything..." Oracle nods. "I see what you mean." Dagger says, "Yeah. Uh... how much do you drink in there, outta curiousity?" You say, "I generally only drink when someone invites me to. I usually don't drink on my own." Dagger says, "So why hang out in the bar so much?" You say, "I like talking to people, and visiting the bar is the surest way to accomplish that. But it hasn't been the same lately." Dagger says, "Only half full, huh?..." Oracle nods. "Something like that." Dagger hrrrms. "Well, like I said. I don't love cons, I'd love to see 'em all gone for good. But..." Oracle waits for Dagger to finish his thought. Dagger says, "Ahhh, I dunno. It would be great to have a world where we could give the "better" cons a chance to change. But they're attached to the really mean ones, by one way or the other, so that's not gonna happen. Gotta kill 'em... but most bots don't have the stomach to even do that." You say, "And you do?" Dagger hms. "Yeah. Up close. But I don't like shootin' medics, or anybody else that can't slag you back. Don't seem fair." Oracle sighs. "Well, I hope I never see you in action. I'd be forced to do something if you attacked one of my friends, and I can't fight. But the same would probably go for if they attacked you. I don't like fights." Dagger sighs as well. "Oracle... I can't fight a war with neutrals hopping in my line-a-sight. But I tell you what. If I meet a con that's a friend of yours, I won't kill 'im unless I absolutely have to. That's all I can do, though, and I ain't makin' any guarantees." You say, "How generous of you. I don't want to stop your duty, I'm just warning you that I can't sit idly by and watch a friend of mine get fired at. It's not easy being neutral either. I feel as though I'm torn into three parts at times." Dagger says, "I understand that, but in that case, you better just stay away from combat zones til the fightin's over. If you find yourself in one, then just turn around and don't look back..." You say, "I don't plan on approaching combat, but life doesn't always go as planned. Thank you for the advise though." Dagger shrugs. "All the advice I can give." He checks his internal chronometer. "Hm... drinkin' time's used up. Gotta head back to work now. Maybe it's for the best..." You say, "I'm sorry for taking up your time, but perhaps you are right. Take care." Dagger grins, patting your shoulder. "Hey, you too. And it wasn't a problem. *Somebody*'s gotta spread bot propaganda. Heheh." Ripsaw wakes up and cricks his neck joints, before looking around and sighing, "..Guess I got a little too into tellin' stories." Oracle eyes Ripsaw and nods. Dagger scowls at him somewhat, then turns around to head back to.. that's classified. Mecha-Feline yawns and peers around. "mmmmerrrooow." Ripsaw looks around and stnads up, "..Heh..." You say, "Good evening Ripsaw." Ripsaw ehs, "Whut's so good about it?" Mecha-Feline trots over and rubs up on RIp... 'Meroooow.' Oracle blinks at Ripsaw. "What's so bad about it?" Ripsaw shrugs and says, "Sky could be brighter, I guess." Mecha-Feline's tail trails around his leg as she circles around. "Merow." Ripsaw looks down and pets the cat, he's outside the city, of course. His rifile is with the guard, so, no harm being done, "Hey cat, what's up?" You say, "And how do you fare, Ripsaw? It's been quite a while since I've seen you." Ripsaw shrugs at Oracle and says, "I'm not dead, right?" Mecha-Feline purrs. "Not much you?" Oracle nods. "Right, but I'm not dead either." Ripsaw shrugs down at the cat and says, "...Just thinkin' things out out here." he nods to Oracle, "Wow, you are one of the bright ones, aincha?" You say, "Do you know when your faction is allowed back into the city?" Mecha-Feline sits in front of the two. "I wasn't aware they were told to not come in." Oracle nods. "Haven't you noticed that they haven't been around lately?" Ripsaw shakes his head, "...Nope, and until we are, I'm just going to hang outside the gates when I can, and have a little conversation with my good friends, huh?" Mecha-Feline considers. "I suppose so." You say, "Don't you have duties or something? Not that I mind the company, but I haven't seen a Decepticon around for a long time." Mecha-Feline says, "Even Cons need a break." You say, "I wish they would take a permanent break along with the Autobots." Mecha-Feline's tail swishes. "Wishing thinking... all for naught..." Oracle sighs. "I know...but I don't care...I'll keep wishing." Mecha-Feline nods. "Dreams are always good." You say, "One day it /won't/ be a dream." Mecha-Feline says, "A day to look forward to." Ripsaw suddenly stops vegetating and says, "...Er?" Mecha-Feline's tail lashes against Rips lower leg. "Daydreamer." she purrrs Oracle looks over Ripsaw. "Are you okay?" Ripsaw shakes his head, "My minds on somethin' else, is the problem," he pats the cat again before saying, "....I just keep zoning." You say, "What are you so preoccupied with?" Mecha-Feline purrs softly at the pats. Ripsaw says, "Stuff that just don't add up.." Oracle nods to show she's listening. Mecha-Feline noddles too. Ripsaw shrugs and says, "...My rank fer one thing. Why am I in command of the empire's firepower?" Mecha-Feline has no clue so shrugs. You say, "Why do you think you shouldn't be?" Ripsaw says, "Well, for one thing, I ain't got any stoppin' power anymore. All these newfangled critters can whip me up good." You say, "Perhaps you have more experiance than any of them?" Mecha-Feline says, "So get improvements." Ripsaw blinks and says, "...Naw, they'd never go fer somethin' like that." Mecha-Feline says, "Why so you that?" You say, "What else is on your mind?" Ripsaw hmms and shrugs, "...Eh, tryin' ta figger out where my partners in crime have gone." You say, "Whom?" Mecha-Feline nods quietly. Mecha-Feline says, "WHo would they be?" Ripsaw hmms and says, "...Well, Brawl, seems to have dumbed-down, so wherever he is, that's okay...but, Deadeye...and then Skydagger...and then, ah, Triage is always off with that Onslaught." Mecha-Feline nods. "Can't say I've met Skydagger or Brawl..." Oracle quirks an optic ridge. "Dumbed-down?" Ripsaw hmms, "He used ta have common sense, at least." You say, "What do you mean?" Ripsaw says, "...Well, he wouldn't break outta medbay, that's fer sure."" Mecha-Feline says, "Sounds as if he's been hit in the head too often." Ripsaw nods, "Deadeye's probably wallowing in some depressed funk...and Dags? can't ever find the gal." Oracle laughs. "I thought you were refering to Brawl's associationg with me." Ripsaw shrugs, "That's pretty silly too, but.." he shrugs, "Ain't my place to tell people who to hang out with." Mecha-Feline says, "A wise choice." Oracle quirks a questioning optic ridge at the word 'silly.' Ripsaw shrugs and says, "You're a nice gal and all, but your vocabulary is just way too...out there for me to hold up any real conversation, see?" Mecha-Feline shakes her head. He's getting into hot water. You say, "Really? I'm sorry then. I tend to get carried away with words. So, you haven't seen Brawl lately then?" Ripsaw shrugs and says, "Nope." Mecha-Feline says, "Maybe they all ran off together?" You say, "I talk with Brawl frequently and the last time I saw Skydagger was in the Blaster talking with Patrol." Ripsaw hahs, "...Not likely. Dags really didn't care fer Brawl, and she sorta wondered how Deadeye was treatin' me. If Deadeye went some....patrol eh?" Mecha-Feline hmms. "Just a suggestion." Oracle nods. "Patrol talks to /everyone/ in the Blaster. I don't know Deadeye though, I've never met that individual." Mecha-Feline says, "My mother knew him, kinda of." Ripsaw hmms and says, "...I'll haveta talk to Patrol then." he nods at Dusk, "...Uh, yeah, he's a great guy, right?" You say, "Patrol's been rather busy lately with the Lunar matter." Mecha-Feline says, "I wouldn't know. Mother wasn't too impressed by him." Ripsaw hmms and says, "Well'n, I guess then my Deadeye hunt'll be mine alone." You say, "Who is your mother?" Mecha-Feline says, "My Mother was Celare." Mecha-Feline yawns a bit. "Did you know her? You say, "No, I didn't." Mecha-Feline nods. "Seems she was particular about who knew her." Ripsaw hmms and says, "I knew her." Mecha-Feline grins. "Indeed she did. But not well." Ripsaw hms and says, "Yep, shame what we did to her." Oracle listens. Mecha-Feline blinks. "Excuse me?" Ripsaw ers, "...Uh, The empire." Ripsaw says, "I'm not proud of it. I didn't take part in it. I got my discipline fer not followin' orders." Mecha-Feline hisses softly. Mecha-Feline stalks off, away from the two. Oracle watches the feline go. Ripsaw shrugs and says, "...I paid for letting it happen, and I paid for not followin' orders..." Mecha-Feline lays down by omega's foot and closes her eyes. You say, "Would you have changed your course of action if you could do it over again?" Mecha-Feline zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Ripsaw shakes his head, "Nah, I didn't want to be part of it." You say, "And are things any better for you now?" Ripsaw shakes his head, "Nope, things still pretty much suck." You say, "Then why do you remain with your Faction?" Ripsaw sighs, "Because I can't leave behind what I signed up fer. I got principles. They may be paper thin, but they're there." You say, "Why did you join them in the first place?" Ripsaw says, "...I needed ta belong." Oracle sighs. "That is my biggest disadvantage. Though I know I would never get along on either side. I don't respect authority very much." Ripsaw hmms, "Neither do I, but now I am authority...that's what's @*#~ed up about the situation." You say, "Can't you just step down?" Ripsaw shrugs, "I don't think so." You say, "Certainly there's a bunch of ambitions mechs that would be glad to take your place if you dislike it so much. Unless your faction is really picky about keeping everyone in their place." Ripsaw hmms, "Seems that way." You say, "Does anyone else know about your discontent?" Ripsaw hmms, "Nope, and that's the way it's gonna stay." You say, "I won't tell then." Ripsaw nods and leans back at his sitting spot, "Good." You say, "But if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm always willing to listen." Ripsaw nods and shrugs, "...S'not that I don't have my own friends. I just..can't find 'em." You say, "And you might not want to tell them if you're unhappy with the faction." Ripsaw shrugs and says, "Skydagger'd understand..." You say, "If I see either Skydagger or Brawl, should I tell them you're looking for them, or at least send them your regards?" Ripsaw nods, "Yeah, ya should." You say, "I will then." Ripsaw smiles, "Hey...thanks." You say, "No problem. I like being helpful." Ripsaw nods, "If I knew ya at all, and was allowed in, I'd buy ya a drink fer payment...but since I don't.." You say, "And I'm certainly not allowed in any of your cities...and believe me, I've been told on many occassions." Ripsaw shrugs, "Shame, huh?" You say, "Well, I think so. I don't like being held out of anywhere, but then again, my opinions will most likely get me into trouble one of these days." Ripsaw shrugs, "Ah, well." Oracle sighs. "So you spending a lot of time at the gates now?" Ripsaw nods and says, "Yep, Talking to good old Vrimni!" Ripsaw points to one of the guards. You say, "It really is a pity that your faction has been banned from the Blaster. I await the time when you all return." Ripsaw nods and says, "Yeah, I can't wait either." Oracle nods. You say, "Well, I had better get back into the city. They don't like it when I stay out too late." Ripsaw nods and says, "I'd better get back to sleeping.." You say, "Well, take care." Ripsaw nods and looks down at his feet, before saying, "Shuttin' down." Oracle nods a farewell and walks back into the city.
