November 9th(2) ((Patrol, Duskstalker, Lunar)) (U,U,D) Oracle walks into view restlessly. Patrol is standing by the gates with a few other gaurds. Oracle quirks an optic ridge at the sight of all the guards and walks towards Patrol. Patrol sees Oracle and walks over to meet her. Oracle smiles slightly at Patrol. "Hello Patrol. What's going on?" she says, refering to the guards. Patrol shrugs, "Just getting ready if your...friend shows up." Oracle sighs. "This is an awful lot of trouble just because little me was attacked." Patrol shrugs, "thats not the point. No one attacks one of our citzens and gets away with it, If i was allowed I be out there right now tracking him down, but I am not allowed." You say, "Why not? I didn't know the militia was so fond of keeping their members indoors." Patrol shrugs, "I was ordered not to approach or seek him on my own, It dosn't matter that I have beaten him before with out any serious trouble." Oracle nods. "I see. I didn't think he would be that dangerous to someone like you. You /are/ on the militia after all." Patrol grins, "yhea but so is Talisman" Mecha-Feline wakes up. She eyes the gathering. Oracle nods. "He also isn't security. If secturity can't handle threats, they aren't really much of a security, are they?" Patrol nods at Dusky, "have a nice nap?" Mecha-Feline blinks up at Patrol. Patrol looks back at Oracle, "Well he is on the milita isn't he." Oracle shrugs and gives up. "So what /have/ you been doing with your time?" Patrol grins, "waiting, and giving info to my commanders" Mecha-Feline peers up at the duo. "It was a good nap thanks for asking." to Patrol. You say, "I'm glad I don't really fit under someone else's command. I don't think I work well with someone over top of me, watching every thing I do." Mecha-Feline's tail lashes slightly. Patrol shrugs, "well the only reason my commanders keep asking me all these questions is because I am one of the few milita members who know how your...friend operates." Oracle gives a half-smile. "Ah, but do you know why?" Her tone is rather sad. Mecha-Feline jsut sits there and listens for lack of better things to do. Patrol shrugs, "I have no idea why he keeps seeking me out." You say, "Or me even?" Mecha-Feline's tail lashes, adding nothing to this talke for now. Oracle takes a moment to nod to Mecha-Feline. Patrol shugs, "Well after I apprehend him I will learn why." Oracle just sighs again. Mecha-Feline says, "Whom do you speak of if I may ask?" Patrol blinks and says with a scowl, "Lunar" Mecha-Feline says, "Ah..." Mecha-Feline gets bored and stalks off. Oracle shrugs as she watches the feline leave. Patrol watchs Dusky go, "Hmmm, ah well. So where you going Oracle?" Oracle shrugs. "Nowhere in particular. I'm just out for a walk. I've found that it's hard to sit still for very long." Patrol hmmms, "well I would prefer you stay in the city for your own safety." You say, "Will it make your mind easier?" Patrol nods, "it will" You say, "I shall keep that in mind. I wouldn't want you to worry." Patrol rolls his optics, "Little late for that." You say, "You shouldn't worry so much. I survived, didn't I?" Patrol frowns, "only because some mad man allowed it!" Oracle nods. "Perhaps. Armor and weapons aren't the only defense you know." She sighs. Patrol looks even more anoyed, "Yhea but they still are the best kind." You say, "Are you going to sit at the gates all day waiting for Lunar, or would you care to join me in the Blaster?" Patrol hmms, "I got my men waiting here they will inform me if and when they arive, Lets go." Patrol starts to walk towards the blaster Oracle follows. Patrol grins at oracle and walks over to his booth he picks up two enerwines along the way. Oracle sits in the booth with Patrol. She sighs again...something she's been doing with increased frequency since her attack. Patrol eyes Oracle passes her an enerwine, "you ok?" Oracle shrugs. "I wish life were back to normal." Patrol hmms, "how's that?" You say, "Everyone seems to be all set on capturing Lunar that it's consuming everyone. And the Decepticons are strangely absent from the Blaster. Ususally they're all over it." Patrol looks around, "you know I havent seen a con in the city all day." You say, "Brawl's told me that they aren't allowed in Crystal City anymore. It just doesn't feel right. I know the Militia doesn't fully trust them, and the Autobots don't like them, but it doesn't feel right now that they aren't allowed in the city." Patrol blinks, "it has nothing to do with the milita. We allow anyone into the city as long as they have peaceful intentions if the cons arnt allowed in its not our fault." You say, "I didn't say that it was Patrol." Patrol frowns, "and further more we dont trust the cons anymore then we trust the bots. We treat everyone as an equal, ive arrested alsmost as many bots as I have cons." Oracle shrugs. "Perhaps I've misinterpreted your leader, Phalanx, but he gave me the impression that he didn't think much of Brawl...or the Decepticons." Patrol grins, "Boss doesn't think much of anything but this city." You say, "If that even. He seems rather...cold." Patrol hmmms, "Well I am sure he cares about some people. He is always worrying about me." You say, "He has a professional reason to. You're a member of his Militia, a protector of Crystal City. I don't think he can afford to treat those beneath him poorly. We aren't the Decepticons and public image can influence things." Patrol nods, "Thats true. But more often then naught he is worrying that I will ruin our image and jepordize our neutrality." Oracle nods. You say, "The last thing any of us want to lose is our neutrality." Patrol shrugs, "Eh its been at least a week or so since I jepordized the neutrality of CC" You say, "How do you jepordize the City?" Patrol grins, "oh you know lip off a few Coc people here and there." Oracle laughs. "If I didn't have the manners I do, I believe I would act the same way. I don't know why, but I don't seem to respect the high-rankers very much." Patrol grins, "oh I get along with Elita one pretty well but I think she might have a small crush on me.. but the con Coc is always shooting me. I am amazed I am still alive." You say, "I'm not very familiar with Elita One. We haven't had much occassion to speak with one another." Patrol umms, "she is the pink autobot leader. You must rember her you were a bot once wernt you?" You say, "I know who she is, we just haven't talked much." Patrol nods, "ahh ok" You say, "And I wasn't with the Autobots for very long." Patrol grins, "me neither" You say, "And why did you leave them? You seem like you would have fit in with them...sort of." Patrol says, "I fell in love" You say, "With whom?" Patrol grins, "this city" You say, "It is a nice city, isn't it? Certainly the best place for me...a place where the protectors care whether or not I come to grief." Patrol nods, "Course we do." Oracle smiles. Patrol nods, and orders another enerwine. You say, "Do you think the Militia will ever stop looking for Lunar? Or that the Decepticons will continue to cooperate in the Lunar matter by handing him over to the City's authorities?" Patrol shakes his head no, "We will persist until we catch him" You say, "I suppose you would. You're a good mech Patrol, and so are the other members of the Militia." Patrol frowns, "I know you don't want anything to happen to Lunar but if we don't bring him in an angry mob will rip him apart, he will be safe in our cells." You say, "He doesn't seem to think so. I warned him." Patrol hmmms, "Do you know where he is hiding?" Oracle says nothing. Patrol frowns, "Oracle, do you or don't you know where he is?" You say, "What gave you the idea I would know where he is? You won't even let me leave the city." Patrol hmmms, "I am not always guarding that gate and you know it Oracle. I won't hurt him if he comes along peacefully" Oracle looks straight at Patrol. "I don't betray people's confidences." Oracle smiles. "I've been hearing that from everyone lately Patrol. About how stupid I am to leave the city. But there is more than one kind of intelligence. I have one kind, but I'm sadly lacking in the other." She sighs. Patrol frowns, "Oracle, why not make it easy on your self just take me too him and I will see that no extra harm comes to him" You say, "I can't." Patrol hmmsa, "And why not?" Oracle looks at the ground. "Because I just can't." Patrol starts to look upset, "That not the Oracle I thaught I knew." Oracle glances up at Patrol. She has almost a pained look. "How so?" Patrol puts some money on the table to pay for the drinks, "I think I should go. If you want to see other people get hurt thats your problem but I for one am not going to stand Idly waiting for him to strike again and if I have to die to catch him so be it." He turns and heads for the door. Oracle sits mutely at the booth, staring into space. Oracle suddenly stands up and tries to rush past Patrol, a half-mad look gleaming from her optics. Patrol tries to grab oracle. Oracle escapes past Patrol and out the door. Patrol comes rushing into the area looking for Oracle Oracle is just rushing out of view. Oracle disappears through the gates of the city, running as fast as she can. Oracle makes it just on the other side of the gates. Red Tec-Car swerves in front of her, Some of the gumby guards shout for her to stop. Oracle stops finally, looking at the ground again. Red Tec-Car transforms and motions to the gumby guards that he has the situation in hand. Red Tec-Car folds upward into Patrol. Oracle keeps her optics focused on the ground. She's suddently still, almost seeming lifeless. Patrol frowns at Oracle, "And where do you think you are going?" Oracle murmers, "I don't know...I just had to go." Patrol frowns again, "Uh huh. Oracle if I didn't know any better i would say you were going to warn lunar" Oracle shakes her head. "I was heading into the older parts of Cybertron." Patrol Hmmms, "And How Do i know thats not where he is hiding?" You say, "You can't. But if you want, you can follow me." *Sneaks past gumby guards* Oracle peeks into the doorway, looking around. She looks very tired and there is almost a wild look gleaming in her green optics. Lunar frowns as he sees her. "You," he says calmly. You say, "You're still here? You haven't been found out yet?" Lunar shakes his head. "Wildfire nearly did. I escaped. If you don't mind me saying so, you look like the Pit. What's wrong?" Oracle shrugs. "I don't really know. I was talking to Patrol in the Blaster, then I had this sudden feeling like I was trapped and /had/ to esacape." Lunar blinks. "What?" You say, "I felt a sudden impulse to flee the Blaster, so I did. I ran through the city. Patrol stopped me at the gates. He had a few guards there to keep me out and to watch for you. I snuck past them...I felt like I was in a prison or something." Lunar chuckles, and for once it doesn't carry his normal darker undertones. "My, my, my. Feeling a bit overprotected?" Oracle glances at Lunar. "I don't know what it was. It was like the walls were closing in on me. You know the Decepticons aren't allowed in the City anymore. Half of my friends aren't allowed in the Blaster." Lunar nods. "So, you come to see the one person that no one thinks is your friend." You say, "I don't think anyone knows you're here, so chances are they won't know I'm here. Patrol said some fairly harsh things to me." Lunar blinks. "What did he say?" You say, "He said 'I think I should go. If you want to see other people get hurt thats your problem but I for one am not going to stand Idly waiting for him to strike again and if I have to die to catch him so be it.'" Lunar shakes his head. "That's not ture, Oracle. I know you don't want anyone else hurt." You say, "It's easier to be hurt myself than to have anyone else hurt. I can't handle it very well, but I handle causing other people's pain ever more poorly." Lunar frowns. "You're not causing anyone else to be hurt. /I/ am, and there is NOTHING you can do about that. It's not your fault." You say, "But /you're/ not even doing anything right now. It's been a while now and they're stil carrying on like I was on the brink of death." Lunar says, "You are much loved." Oracle nods. "I think they're more in love with justice. And many of them are just on a hunt for dicipline." Lunar arches an optic ridge, surprised. "You sound as if you are on my side." Oracle shakes her head, not to disagree, but as an expression of confusion. "I don't know whose side I'm on. Everyone seems to be doing the wrong things for the right reasons, or the right things for the wrong reasons, or somthing for no reason at all." Lunar nods. "Welcome to real life. Not quite as idealistic." You say, "It's just confusing." Lunar nods. "Things aren't black and white. So . . . why did you come here?" he asks the question hesitantly, almost as if afraid of the answer. Oracle scuffles the floor with her toes. "It was the only other place I knew besides Polyhex, and things don't go well when I go there...espcecially since there seems to be no Decepticons in Crystal City...which bothers me." Lunar sighs. "Why? It's not your fault." You say, "That's not why it bothers me. It just seems wrong. Besides, I get along well with many of that faction's members. I believe more so than with the Autobots....or even members of the Militia." Lunar looks down, closing his optics. "I'm sorry, Oracle." You say, "For which?" Lunar refuses to raise his optics. "For causing all this. For making you . . . making you feel like a prisoner." Oracle pauses. She continues to look down. It's clear that she's struggling for something to say, but the words won't come out. Lunar turns away. "I'm so sorry," he says again, softly. Oracle remains silent. She can't say "It's okay," because it isn't, and she can't say, "It's not your fault," because it is. She does look up though, and watches Lunar. Lunar sits on what used to be a table, looking suddenly very tired. You say, "Are you okay?" Lunar nods. "Yeah," he says, not very convincingly. Oracle quirks an optic ridge, somewhat wearily. "You don't sound okay." Lunar says, "I haven't done this for a while, that's all. Out here, living like a . . . like a primal." Oracle sighs. "I don't think this is going to calm down as soon as you had hoped." Lunar shakes his head. "I would say not. And my own faction's cast me out now, Razelore has even assigned Kimkaze to hunt me down." He chuckles. "My own commander turns on me. Slag." You say, "It's not pleasant to be so alone, is it?" Lunar shakes his head. "Not anymore. I don't know what's changed, but something has." You say, "I don't know either. I still don't know you well enough to guess, and even if I did, I wouldn't have the presumption." Lunar sighs. "I nearly killed you and then let you go. You've gone against orders and good sense to visit me twice now. I'd say you're not going to get to know me too much better, and as for presumption, by now you should know that I don't care much for polite conversation." Oracle smiles wryly. "Giving someone a free pass to the Hospiece isn't exactly polite, is it?" Lunar shakes his head, not smiling. "No, it isn't. So, you were saying?" Oracle blinks. "Saying? I lost track of my thoughts." Lunar shakes his head. "Never mind." He stands up and turns to face her. "Look . . . never mind. It's getting late, you better go before they get too worried." Oracle nods. "Take care of yourself." She tries to lighten the atmosphere. "Don't get yourself killed, or I'll have spent all that time and energy worrying over nothing." Lunar doesn't smile as he opens the door for her. "Oracle . . . if you ever need to get away, this place is open. All right?" Oracle nods and finds her way out the door.
