August 27th, 2003 ~Jade(U), The Wild Surge - Bar Dimly lit and noisy, Dead End's only bar is never lacking in patrons. While the energon isn't of the best quality, many of the chemical additives are unique to the place, and so highly prized by those who can afford them, even outside of the city. For those less affluent, the wall behind the bar still offers old, contaminated energon and various forms of crude-grade fuel as well as the more acceptable low and high grade energon, plus some interesting compounds that are better left to the imagination. Jade [Robot] [U] Obvious Exits: -O- Out leads to Dead End - North Strip -Jade steps in, glancing about as he does. He moves quietly over to the bar, as he takes a seat. -When the mech reaches the bar, he just /might/ notice the femme lying on her tummy along the far end of it. At the moment Moonlight is sipping an enerwine out of a straw. -Jade raises an eyebrow, as he glances down the bar. He gives his head a slight shake, "An interesting place to lay down...." -Moonlight smiles slightly, looking faintly amused. "Not really. It's one of my favored spots. Though Solar keeps warning me not to damage the surface." -Jade hmms, and nods slightly..."Well, as long as your happy...I guess -Moonlight swings her body around and slides off the bar so that she's on the opposite side of it from Jade. "Need anything?" she asks, tilting her hat back slightly with a careless finger. -Jade hmms, "Peace would be nice...a rebuilt Cybertron..but i doubt you have those back there..." he smiles -Moonlight snaps her fingers. "Darn, I left them in my other hat." She chuckles softly. "Yeah, those things would be nice, but if I /did/ have them, I certainly wouldn't be selling them in the Surge." -Jade says, "You'd sell peace?" -Moonlight pretends to think the thought over, "Naw. No one could afford it, so I'd just have to give it away for free..." -Jade says, "Well, then..I suggest you order a whole bunch of it right away..." he smiles" -Moonlight chuckles. "Ah, if only I could. It would make a good story, but I'm afraid that's something I'm only going to find in a story." She shrugs. "Sure I can't get you something a little more...realistic?" -Jade hmms, looking around..."Well, seeing as this is some kind of bar..correct. Really no, since I don't drink. Really I came in, just because it seems to often have people in it..and for some reason..they don't try and kill each other here..." -Moonlight grins broadly. "Then you obviously don't come here enough. Things can get pretty tense here on occassion. Not always though. Sometimes people are more than happy to just sit and drink themseleves senseless." -Jade says, "Drink themselves senseless?...what goal does that achieve?" -Moonlight throws up her hands in mock frustration. "Who knows? It's not my thing. I drink just enough to please myself, and then stop. I have great self-control when it comes to drinking." Her tone indicates that her self-control in other areas aren't so spectacular. -Jade nods, "Yes child, self-control is a very important thing...I see many nowadays that have none..." -Moonlight gestures her agreement with a nod. "True. But I sort of can't blame them. I mean...I can see how some people would think there's no point. But I don't like to think of waking up one cycle and realizing I've done something terribly stupid, something that can't be fixed or brushed off." She shrugs. -Jade steeples his fingers, "Everything can be fixed, given time....it is the reason we wait for this to end..." -Moonlight shakes her head. "I can't believe that really. Sure, objects can be fixed, but it's hard to bring some people back if their core has been...killed." She folds her arms as though she were cold. She might be flippant about many things, but never about death. -Jade says, "ah, but it was their choice after all. And even if, there was no war. Not everyone would survive. There would always be losses..accidents, natural disasters, enemies not of this world." -Moonlight nods and taps her chest. "But that doesn't mean I want to be responsible for it." -Jade says, "Well, then don't...simply do not take a life." -Moonlight arches an optic ridge. "I've been doing good with that so far. But I can't say I'll be able to keep it that way." Of course that might seem a little odd coming from a Decepticon, but it does take all kinds. -Jade says, "Why?..in my lifetime, I've never hit anyone in anger. It is possible to go through life, and not inflict any pain on another.." -Moonlight hops back up on the bar, sitting on it this time instead of lying. She taps her thigh, where her Con symbol is. "But you don't have one of these." -Jade shakes his head, "No I don't..though I don't really see, how a small symbol can force you to hurt others. It shouldn't change who the person is inside...." -Moonlight shrugs defensively. "Oh, I don't /want/ to hurt anyone, but it certainly increases the ammount of people who want to hurt me." She pauses. "Then again, most of them don't want to hurt me, they just feel they have to. I mean, I /am/ the enemy." There's a caustic emphasis to the last word. -Jade says, "Well, then..it's very simple...get rid of it. No use holding onto something, thats just gonna make people want to hurt you." -Moonlight laughs at that. "I think /more/ people would want to hurt me if I got rid of it. And /they/ wouldn't give me as many warnings as some of the Bots have. No, I think I should leave it where it is...for now." -Jade nods, "That is your choice of course...but I think that symbol does more damage then you think..you seem to be damned if you do, and damned if you don't. Really makes you wonder what your war is all about, doesn't it." -Moonlight nods. "I never thought there /was/ a point. I'm not an idealist. I didn't join the Cons because I have this firm belief that they are right. I don't think either side is right exactly." She grins, almost as though she enjoys saying these things. In the past it has shocked many and horrified a few. -Jade hmms, "then why did you join?..if you feel neither side is right, why choose one over the other?" -Moonlight shrugs. "For petty reasons of course. I needed help, and they were the ones to give it to me. But the catch was that I join up with them. Simple enough reason. Of course, I didn't have someone looking over my shoulder telling me it was a bad idea." -Jade shakes his head, "So simply because they were there? Thats an interesting reason...an honest one at least." -Moonlight chuckles. "Oh, I try to be honest. Of course, considering I'm not exactly in an honest profession, it doesn't always pan out that way. But it wasn't just that they were there. I was told to seek help from them. I didn't even /know/ about the 'Bots until after I had talked with the Cons for a bit." -Jade hmms, "didn't know about the bots?...how is that possible?..as long as there has been one, there has been the other. They are both two sides of the same coin." -Moonlight waves a languid hand. "Oh, I'm from Monacus. The little band I was in didn't really pay attention to Cybertron at all." -Jade says, "Ah, interesting place..I've spent time there over the eons." he looks around. "A much nicer place then this. Why would you leave there, for here?" -Moonlight frowns slightly. "I was part of a smuggling band. Swipe, our leader, got cocky and we ran into trouble with a rather nasty gang of thugs. They caught up to us in a bar and there was quite a fight. Swipe told me to run here and meet up with his sole contact and ask for help just as he was being dragged off. Not being overly brave, I did as he told me."
