July 28th, 2003 ~Figment(U), Cinder(D), The Wild Surge - Bar Dimly lit and noisy, Dead End's only bar is never lacking in patrons. While the energon isn't of the best quality, many of the chemical additives are unique to the place, and so highly prized by those who can afford them, even outside of the city. For those less affluent, the wall behind the bar still offers old, contaminated energon and various forms of crude-grade fuel as well as the more acceptable low and high grade energon, plus some interesting compounds that are better left to the imagination. Obvious Exits: -O- Out leads to Dead End - North Strip -Figment still hasn't left the Wild Surge from the first time she came in, right now she's dancing at one part of the bar to some unheard tune. -Moonlight walks into the bar with Cinder in tow. "I'm sure it'll be fine. Not much trouble happens here anymore. Besides, you should be relaxing, and most people find the bar relaxing," she says to Cinder, as though they had been talking along the way. Well, Moonlight talking and Cinder listening. -Cinder looks at Moonlight and nods, looking like a rabbit in a wolf's den as he sticks near her. He straightens a little, glancing around, pausing on any suspicious characters "H.. hard to relax when strangers is with." -Figment stops her dancing, no telling how long she's been doing that, waddling over to the bar she mutters something incoherent and climbs up on a stool. As no order is sent her way, it is safe to assume nobody else understood what she murmured. -Moonlight nods her head patiently at Cinder. "I know, I think we've had this conversation before. But it's not good for you to be cooped up all the time either." She glances around and spots Figment dancing. Hey! That's /her/ bar to dance on. "Maybe I should have taken you someplace quieter. Next time I'll just take you to my brewery or something." No sense in worrying him with by mentioning Figment and her weirdness. At least Figment has stopped dancing. -Cinder is already eyeing the femme strangely, then looks at Moonlight "Uhm... Brewery?" he asks, curious as he walks alongside. "Don't mind being cooped. Is nice." -Figment sighs and looks aside, her visor flickering the swirl of colors similar to her coloration scheme when she gazes at Moonlight "Well, hello hello! Is your master named Skydagger by any chance...?" -Moonlight smiles. "Yeah, I run a brewery in my spare time. It's down in the Steel Fields." She shrugs. "Nice little place. Usually very quiet." She snags herself a seat and assumes that Cinder will sit with her. "I know you like to be alone and things, but it's good to get used to all sorts of situations. Keeps the skills sharp...as long as you don't drink too much." She glances up at Figment as she approaches. "Master? I don't have a master. I have several bosses, and one of them /is/ named Skydagger, but no master. Do I look like a slave to you?" -Cinder nods at Moonlight, and sits across from her. He looks up at Figment, eyeing her like one would a possible enemy, optics narrowed as he oberves, not saying a thing. -Figment frowns at Moonlight as she stands up on her stool and points directly at her "You lied to me! Last time you said you couldn't apologize because your master wouldn't let you!" -Moonlight blinks, not remembering saying that. "I don't think that's what I said." She thinks for a moment. "Unless I was joking. But even then, it doesn't sound like a Moonlight thing to say." She thinks for a moment. "I said my boss was calling me. I didn't say he forbid me to apologize," she finally states. She gives Cinder a glance to see how well he's taking the odd femme. -Cinder narrows his optics further and shifts slightly, positioning to leap out of his seat if need be. He may be a sociophobic, but he protects his own.. "Be... Polite." he rasps, voice not unlike Screamer's or Megatrons' in its two word phrase to Figment -Figment jumps down from her stool and walks up towards Moonlight "You said so too, that's the only reason I didn't shoot you, because you were serving another who didn't permit you to apologize. That's cruel, but lying isn't very nice either." At the rasping voice of Cinder, she replys not unlike, but with the precise voice of Megatron "Don't speak unless you're spoken to, Maggot!" -Cinder's optics flash at that, and he starts to rise to his feet... -Moonlight smiles at Cinder's display of loyalty, then makes a face of disbelief as Figment twists her words, then frowns deeply as the femme verbally attacks Cinder. She bounces out of her seat and pulls herself up to her full twenty-one foot height. "Don't talk to him that way! He's been through a lot lately, and the last thing he needs is for you to start acting all crazy on him." She glances back to Cinder. "Let me handle this one. But if it gets ugly, watch my back," she says, though she lacks the sound of someone pulling rank and barking orders. -Figment doesn't even take note of Cinder's imposing of presence, she's talking to Moonlight now, and never asked him to be insulting. Optics snapping up, way up, to look at Moonlight she clenches her hands and stomps her feet. "Then he better not talk to me that way!" ominous energies start swirling around the tiny femme as she just stands there despite the size diffrence, very much threatening towards Moonlight. -Cinder stops at Moonlight's command, and merely nods, optics flashing red instead of their usual black. He then hisses out, between his teeth, more for control than anything "Was... not rude. Mere... request." -Moonlight narrows her optics. "He only asked you to be polite, which isn't bad advice by the way. And don't you be pushing around my friends. This bar is like a second home to be, and I won't have you pushing the people in it around like this." She folds her arms. "And where have you been locked up for so long that you don't know how to be civil to others without blowing your top?" -Figment thrusts an accusatory hand towards Cinder "Then why he uses that rasp!" she quips in her own voice before mimicing that Megatron-ish rasp of Cinder "that one shows no query it shows command!" she then goes back to her own shrill voice "Does your mother know that you talked to your elders like that...? I haven't been locked up I just lived on Monacus a while...sheesh!" -Cinder flinches at the jibe at his voice, and merely stands there, behind Moonlight, optics going black again as he shuts himself away in a shell. -Moonlight arches an optic ridge. "Monacus eh? I lived there too, and I don't recall seeing anyone like /you/ there. And so what if my companion speaks a little strangely. It's not his fault and I think it's awfully mean of you to pick on him for it. What if I told you that you were short and gaudy and that you rave like a mad femme? That wouldn't be very nice of me, now would it?" Moonlight does not at all look happy. She doesn't like bullies, even midget bullies. -Figment smirks "That's funny, I don't recall seeing /you/ either!" she then glares in Cinder's direction, visor flickering a whole rainbow of colors. "That is your own voice? Why not alter it...? To some people that voice reminds only one thing...., terror, evil, evil! That's why I escaped Cybertron and moved to Monacus to begin with..." shrugging after having said that, she looks back at Moonlight, giggling "If you were to say that I'm a short and gaudy and rave like a mad femme, it would only mean that you said it! Teee heehee!" -Cinder fols his arms and stares at the floor, face twisting "I... Like it." he finally speaks, voice soft and mechanical to avoid being misplaced. -Moonlight shakes her head as though trying to clear it. "Of coures you wouldn't have seen me. I'm not bright and flashy. I was also a smuggler, and we're not exactly high on the public profile list." Idly she wonders if this femme was crazy before she moved to Monacus, or if something on her homeworld made her this nutty. Either way it doesn't matter. "But his voice isn't the issue here. What right do you have to tell him he should change. Maybe you should change." -Figment speaks now in the voice of Optimus Prime "Fair enough, I can change....but....can he?" she points at Cinder. "I think he likes to talk like he does, pity...but all's fair in fun and games, if he wants to sound all terror like he may and I will not say another word, after all, we all must accept our brothers as they come, no matter shape, size or voice..." she then switches back to her own voice. "I do rather speak in my own one though, it gets confusing when I change it...it's fun though, you should try it sometime" -Cinder flinches at the finger again, optics flashing again, this time softening slightly, though his face is almost snarling. He's keeping it under control and glances to Moonlight for her response. -Moonlight just shakes her head. What's /with/ this femme anyhow? Of course, for a relative new comer like herself, the voice of Optimus means nothing to her except that it's a male voice and Figment is obviously female. "No thank you. I like my voice the way it is." Of course, she does change it when she's in disguise, but she doesn't get a thrill out of being someone other than herself like this femme obviously does. "You have an odd way of accepting people. Last time I checked acceptance didn't mean pointing weaponry at people, screaming at them, or snickering at their flaws." She turns to Cinder. "You going to be okay? Don't let her get to you; she doesn't know anything about you." -Cinder looks at Moonlight, and nods his head quietly. "Am fine." he states simply, trying to smooth his voice out a little. -Figment crosses her arms and snorts "Funny for one who wouldn't apologize to me over a simple matter you seem to carry high morals, strange..." looking over at Cinder she adds "And why do you make a show of protecting him? I'm sure he can take care of his own..., so what if he's rude, he probably can back it up. You however, had nothing to do with him, you make him appear all weak and in need of protection, I resent that" well, you didn't really expect Figment would keep to the same argument did you? -Cinder turns sharply to Figment, and states "You not like my voice. So she.. so she speaks for me. So you don't have to hear it." this is all said pretty slowly though. As in, SLOW. -Figment ker-blinks, and lifts her visor, revealing a pair of pinkish optics focusing on Cinder. "Aaawwww...you didn't have to take it that hard, if you really can't change it all's well, it's just that you shouldn't use that voice to threaten, it's not fair...you've nearly caused me a fuel pump failure..." -Cinder shrugs at Figment, not saying anythign else. He unfolds his arms though, glancing away and around to check out things. -Moonlight nods her head in agreement with Cinder. "He has a point. Besides, there's no weakness in loyalty." She looks closer at Figment for a few moments as the other femme's mood changes. "You're very strange," she comments. -Cinder nods in agreement with Moonlight "Very." he adds, then snaps his jaw shut. -Figment lowers her visor back over her optics, before she manages to do so a glimpse would reveal her optics are now green. "Loyalty....?" repeating that particular term, Figment backs away towards the doorway muttering to Cinder "You don't mean to place me in a smelting pit, huh?" for the first time rather fearful. As Moonlight makes the strange comment, her visor blinks and she peers in her direction "Me...? Strange...? No..., that's not it...anyways, I think it'll be safer for me if I'll go...." she takes a bow at Cinder and murmurs "Sorry if I offended his greatness..." before rushing outside as if an army was on her tracks. -Cinder blinks at that "Uhm... no I ... " he begins at Figment, then sighs and looks at Moonlight "See? Can't take me anywhere." he states, angry - though mostly at himself. -Moonlight moves to pats Cinder's arm, then thinks better of it. Instead she just smiles at him. "You're just fine. She'd make anyone uncomfortable. She's already done it to me twice." She shakes her head. "I'm sorry this outing didn't go so well. It's usually not like this here." She looks around. Now that Figment is gone, the Surge is more like its usual self. -Cinder shrugs "Eehh. Should learn by now, not talk. Scare people." he states, offering a small smile. -Moonlight shrugs. "I'm not scared of you," she points out. -Cinder points to the door "She was." Cinder says, "Uhm..." he glances away then back, "Drink? On me? " he then adds quickly, uncertain "Or not..." -Moonlight considers the statement. "Maybe. Or maybe she's just insane." She looks around and settles herself back down. "Sure. A drink's always good." -Cinder nods "Uhm... I'll get it." he stammers, turning to make his way - slowly - towards the bar. -Moonlight watches Cinder go to the bar patiently. "I didn't think there were people like that on Cybertron. She seems much too...flippant. Doesn't she know there's a war going on?" -Cinder stands at the bar, trying to get out a sentence, finally just pointing at the menu, and holding up two fingers. Soon, he's coming back with his drink. -Moonlight is a surprisingly tolerant individual for someone who spent most of their early life stealing and smuggling. "This is much better, isn't it?" She always talks to Cinder normally. Anything else would be insulting. She knows that Cinder's problem is verbal only; he understands people just fine. -Cinder nods at Moonlight, glancing around again "Yeah... Its... quiet." he states. The two drinks were rather standard. "What... waht did I miss while uhm... gone?" -Moonlight accepts the drink with a smile. "Well, it's been a bit, so there are a few things. You see..." and she starts giving Cinder a run down of the things that happened while he was in the clutches of the Autobots.
