June 13th, 2003 ~Springer(A), Thunderstrike(A), Silhouette(A), Swivel(A), Nosecone(A), Skydagger(D) Iron Glacier Edging against the industrial complex to the north, this 'glacier' is actually a huge, kilometer tall ridge. A mostly smooth wall of iron and other ores shines brilliantly. A number of small mines and tunnels have been cut into the huge wall, marring its otherwise spartan face. Thunderstrike [Robot] [A] Silhouette [Robot] [A] Swivel [Robot] [A] Nosecone [Robot] [A] Springer [Robot] [A] Obvious Exits: -U- Up leads to Sky Above Iron Glacier -N- North leads to Neurex Industrial Complex -S- South leads to Wastelands -Moonlight had been guarding one of the many entrances into the now coveted tunnels leading to the rumored electrum deposit. So far things had been quiet, almost too quiet, since the cave in. Of course, it would be too good to be true for things to stay that way. This isn't lost on Moonlight when she hears the sounds of...could it be drilling...down inside the tunnel networks. Not wanting to mess this one up, she decides she must go and investigate. -Springer follows Nosecone's gaze up to the ceiling and starts backing away. Out of the corner of his mouth he whispers fiercely at Silhoutte, "Hey, -I'm- in Infantry remember...and this is -not- the time..." -Thunderstrike sighs. "Let's not argue. Let's make a decision NOW. We go on and get what we came for, or we get the frag outta here. And make the call ASAP." -Silhouette grasps tightly at Thunderstrike's shoulder, her touch not a pleasant one. "Calm yourself, Thunderstrike...it does no good to panic..." if he plans on answering, her tightening grasp shows it would be an ill decision. -"Alright.." Nosecone begins. "So the ceiling has been rigged ta collapse. So we either trigger the thing by remote an drill through it, we try ta pass through without triggerin it, we send someone in ta see /what/ triggers it an try ta disarm it.. or we turn back." -Thunderstrike cringes slightly and yes does answer back. "Always with the causing of pain. You exude happiness, I swear. What's the call oh wise one?" Yes..he's mocking the femme whose grip is causing him considerable discomfort. -Moonlight makes her way, quietly and cautiously into the tunnel. She hasn't been in many tunnels on Cybertron, but so far she's had bad luck with them. Then again, she's always been prone to pushing her luck, which is why she's even doing this. Wisdom has never been Moonlight's strong point. -Swivel crosses her arms, then rememebring she's blocking the light from herheadlights from the dimming, the puts her hands to the side. "Well... once we unanimously agree on what to do about it... I'll sit here and shine where you want me to la la la" -Springer rubs his chin, eyeing the roof as if he knows what Nosecone is looking at. "Well...I say we disarm it. If it does collapse and someone gets trapped in there, Nosecone can always dig 'em out again, right? Assuming they don't get crushed to scrap metal, of course. But at least we'll dig out the remains." -Darkness seeps from Silhouette's touch on Thunderstrike's shoulder, enough so his optics see it, hinting at a particular thing that both he and she share. That done, she releases her grasp on his shoulder and walks up to Nosecone. "It has to do with a pressure plate, I'm sure...so triggering it should be easier to deal with, anyone wants to race through to the other side...?" -Nosecone hmms. "Risky. Real risky. Bein caught in a cave in ain't a pleasant experiance. Like Springer said, if it goes wrong, we might only be diggin out the remains." -Thunderstrike looks down at the floor of the cave, basically given a painful reminder of who his superior is. Maybe he'll learn some damn humility. "I'll do it. I can get across there in a hurry, and hey...I'm expendable." -Swivel shrugs. "Well, we can only do what we're capable of." -Nosecone frowns. "You ain't expendable, Thunderstrike. No-one is." -Springer pulls Thunderstrike to the side (and away from the mean Silhoutte) and whispers to him. -Moonlight winds her way through the tunnels...until she comes to a fork. Strange...that pit trap wasn't there before, and she heard no mention of one being there. Of course, she isn't exactly in the know for everything, but there's also a really good chance that someone not exactly friendly put it there as well. Best to continue with caution...so she does. -Swivel shakes her head and nods. "Nosecone is right. No one is expendable..." -Springer mutters to Thunderstrike: "You ... about this?" -Silhouette shakes her head "Not quite yet, Thunderstrike, let me have a better look..." she makes an imaginery line from where the ceiling becomes suspicious and starts to look about the floor and walls for possible triggers about there. -Thunderstrike nods, rather self assured. "I can get to the end of the tunnel at Mach 5. I'm manueverable enough to pull it off. I'll be through before it even falls." -Silhouette pauses from her searching for a moment to grunt at Thunderstrike "At mach 5 you'll make the whole Glacier collapse, fool" -Swivel nods her head. "Too fast would cause the place to be severely disrupted... too slow would probably still cause us much pain and squishiness. Need the right pace..." -Moonlight hears voices...but she's still too far off to be certain whose voices they are, so she keeps going, using her rarely employed stealth. -Thunderstrike sneers, "I didnt say I /would/ go mach 5. I said I /could/, if need arose. I'll get through. Any objections?" -Nosecone says, "Not ta mention the fact that you wouldn't be able to stop before ya hit the end of the tunnel..." -Silhouette looks around at the other Autobots and mutters rather sternly "Everyone, back away!" having made sure that everyone moved sufficently far away from the line she perceives safe, she steps back herself and takes a little piece of metal from her subspace pocket. Measuring distance, she then flings it at a flat surface of the ground beneath the odd ceiling. -Thunderstrike shrugs to Cone. "I've taken worse hits." He chuckles and leaps into the air, as Silhoutte does her thing. -Nosecone just shakes his head. -Springer mutters to himself, "Kup, this is Springer reporting. I regret to inform you that several brave Autobots have been crushed beyond repair...but hey, check out this electrum we found! Isn't it shiny!" -Moonlight nears where the Bots are conversing. She's heard enough to know that these /aren't/ Decepticons talking in the tunnel complex. But she wants to see how many there are and what they are up to. Carefully she flattens herself along the nearest corner and takes a peek around it...just a quick glance to get some numbers and identities. -Swivel shrugs and just stays put... out of everyone's way. "Well.... beer party at Iacon if we get out without getting anyone killed, crushed, or vexing Silhouette beyond belief." -As Thunderstrike streaks through the tunnel you hear a loud rumble. The thin cracks in the suddenly turn into huge gashes that spread quickly across the tunnel. Chunks of rock begin falling from where they were lodged above. Soon there's a rain of falling stone, then clouds of billowing dust block any sight at all. The rumbling finally dies off, and then there's blessed silence. Even that infernal dripping noise seems to have stopped. -Nosecone coughs, wiping dust from his optics as he slowly rises to his feet, having dived forward as the roof collaped to try and sheild himself from any debris. -Silhouette remains silent, the dust particles giving away her unnatural shadows as they look diffrent from the surrounding darkness. She hisses, upset at the occurence, whispering once silence falls over the area "Thunderstrike, you made it alright..?" -Moonlight tries to hold back a cough, but doesn't quite make it, though the sound she does produce is greatly reduced from the one she /could/ have made without the effort. Hopefully, she thinks, it won't be enough to alert the Autobots to her prescence. -Swivel makes a quick movement in the safest direction she could find to avoid getting a ceiling on her. Alert, and with the enhanced ability to pick up audials, Swivel turns, shining her lights in all directions. "Hm.... did I hear somehting from back there? Unless the ceiling is collapsing from all sides...." -There is no audible response. Seconds tick by as the dust dissapates, and a little blue hand slowly pokes it's way to the surface out from under a few rocks, all the way at the end of the debries field. The hand is giving a thumbs up. -Springer gapes at the rocks for a second. Then he turns around slowly to look back down the tunnel in Moonlight's direction. "How many lost Autobots have we -got- stumbling around down in here?" -Nosecone taps some dust out of his audials. "Huh? I didn't hear anythin.." -Swivel frowns. "Hang on I think someone..." she quiets and goes to look around the corner she heard the cough from. -Silhouette whispers quietly "Worry not, whatever is following us will die upon coming closer, what with the incineration mechanism we placed just past our current position...let us move on, quickly...we're wasting too much time..." though she doesn't speak it, she is pleased Thunderstrike made it okay. -Moonlight sees no one...then suddenly Swivel comes into her line of sight. "No one here but us turbo mice..." she whispers, not actually planning on anyone /believing/ her. -Swivel tilts her head and looks carefully at Moonlight until she recognizes her. "Oh yeah, we can move on, it's JUST Moonlight, nothing to worry about." -Nosecone blinks. "Moonlight?" -Moonlight gives Swivel a look of exasperation. "Thanks a lot," she simply states. -Thunderstrike lifts the final rock off himself, and slowly, wobbily stands. He goes through a rather pronounced coughing fit from the dust, and notes another dent, this one in his leg. "Silentlight is gonna kill me." He begins to limp to the end of the tunnel. "COME ON YA SLACKERS!" -Silhouette shakes her head, turning back on her positions. "All of you proceed..." she meanwhile moves menacingly after Swivel and towards Moonlight's position, enshrouding herself in cloak of thick shadows, shifting with a life of their own it seems. -Nosecone pauses, unsure of what to do. He takes a few steps towards the rubble pile, then stops, looking over his shoulder, worried about exactly what Silhouette is planning to do to the friendly Decepticon.. -Swivel frowns. "Slackers?" and shakes her head. She's not a slacker, she's just useless.... well... without her headlights. Of course if anyone said that out loud... Swivel pulls out a gun pointing it at Moonlight. "I think I have things under control." -Springer trails after Silhouette, frowning. He open his mouth as if he's going to say something, then closes it again and waits instead. -Swivel points her gun upwards, looking over at Silhouette. "Guess they can't process without me, ne? I wouldn't want to be you for all the world Moonlight..." she says softly and walks to the rubble, knowing obviously Sil isn't going to invite Moonlight for tea. She looks at Springer. "C'mon... she said to proceed." -Springer slowly turns and follows Swivel, expecting to hear horrid screaming start up from behind him any second now. He starts climbing over the rubble, his jaw set grimly. -Moonlight certainly wasn't comforted by Swivel's words, and is even less comforted by the shadowy /thing/ in front of her. She's not quite sure what to make of it, but it doesn't look friendly at any rate. She takes a step backwards and stares at the blue centers of the shadowy depths, as though trying to penetrate the murk by sheer force of will... -Swivel mutters to Springer: "I'm ... mind reader... ... don't ... about it. ... ... orders and ... ..." -Thunderstrike patiently waits for Swivel and Springer. He then bellows across the cave. "She's no threat. Go ahead and attack her, then remind me how we are the good guys again, O noble leader." He says this with disgust, and begins walking back across the rubble, towards the shadow femme. -Silhouette approaches Moonlight swiftly, fury easily sensed in the manner of her approach "Decepticon..." comes a hateful hiss from within the swirling shadows at two several spikes made wholly of darkness extends towards Moonlight "Be gone, or I'll make you gone, forever..." sound of something serious being powered up echoes through the area. -Springer hops off the last bit of rubble and lands next to Thunderstrike...er where Thunderstrike used to be standing. -Swivel scowls at Thunderstrike and grabs him as he starts heading towards Sil. "Don't interfere Thunderstrike, and keep your mouth shut. Here in a trapped tunnel is NO place to be aggravating the queen of darkness herself." -That voice sounds familiar...it sounds like Miss Whispery Death from her encounter as a 'guest' of Iacon. That can't be good. Moonlight seems to recall that the only thing standing between that voice and its pointyness was Phantom, and that mech doesn't seem to be present. Now might not be the time to be pushy. Besides, it's rather hard to be conversational with something one can't /see/. She takes a few more steps back. -Thunderstrike watches Sil go after Moonlight with spikes, and he looks. The voice! The Spikes! There's no way is there, either way, the little mech begins to shake at the sight of the spikes. He looks to Swivel briefly. "Primus...could it. No." He stares, clearly horrified. -Swivel violently forces Thunderstrike to face the other direction. "Thunderstrike!" she frowns, then repeats his name less rigidly this time. "Thunderstrike..." she shakes her head. "Look away..." -A blade flies past Moonlight, enough for the rush of wind to be felt, and soon enough an energy weapon of sorts singes the ground in-between Moonlight's legs. "Last chance..." comes a murderous hiss, the light emanating from within the swirling shadows become blood red, as Silhouette keeps advancing on Moonlight. -Moonlight reminds herself to carry a high-powered light from now on. "Sorry, I don't argue with shapeless blobs of dark and whispery death. I'm out of here. If Whiplash wants to complain, I'll just let her deal with this sort of thing next time." With that she turns on her heels and runs out of there, trying not to look at all panicked in her retreat. -Silhouette continues to advance after Moonlight, only making sure the Decepticon does clear the area, not really intending to kill one as puny as her. Moonlight after all is more of a burden on the Decepticons alive then dead. -Moonlight would oh so want to get Silhouette for that thought if she had known the femme was thinking it...oh, and if she had the power to /do/ anything about it. But right now she's just concerned with getting away from that shadowy /THING/. As soon as she is /certain/ the shadow isn't following her, she stops. -Thunderstrike takes his arm from Swivel's grasp, Spikes, Optics, and that fragging voice! Taking his spike outtasubspace...he thinks Shadowbot. Spy. Double Agent? Sil. Syl. Sil! He's fuming, and he takes the spike out of subspace, stomping towards the enigmatic one. "Hey Silhouette. I got something of /YOURS/." -The moment THunderstrike struggles from her grasp and begins fuming oh and yelling at Sil Swivel makes an attempt to get a better hold on him. -Thunderstrike turns without word or a tinge of emotion and swings a clubbing blow at the arm Swiv is holding him with. "Stay out of this Swivel." -Silhouette turns around at Thunderstrike's call. The shadows around her scatter and her optics are their natural icy blue hue. "Something of mine...?" she whispers calmly "Surely you jest..." she doesn't flinch as Swivel moves to hold Thunderstrike back. As he hits her however, she frowns "Thunderstrike...Swivel has done nothing but save you, she definitely doesn't deserve to be hit by you..." -Springer turns back at the noise and stares as if he can't quite believe his optics. "Have you two lost your minds?!" He hops back onto the rubble and picks his way towards them. -Swivel is the last person to whimper over a whomp to the arm. She Frowns, her face contorting in one of those angry 'why do I bother' expressions, then she quickly wipes it away. "Thunderstrike, if YOU dare cause an arguement, or a fight.... or trouble while we're likely to have the ceiling cave in on us......... i'll find somehting intimidating to say, dammit!" she tries again to hold the loose fuse mech. -Silhouette looks towards Springer and whispers softly "Could you please see to it that Thunderstrike doesn't make himself a reservation for the brig, if you please, Springer...?" she definitely means for someone to detain the reckless youth before she'll have to deal with him. Something he didn't like before, and wouldn't like now. -Thunderstrike was ready for that, as he paces closer to Sil. "It was YOU! That voice, the optics. The alterego which was mysteriously never in combat when you were. The spikes. Did I mention that Voice?" He growls, lifting up the top tier of armor plating, showing a spot welded scar on his shoulder. "YOU Did this. Dont patronize me. Why?" He's on the verge of going postal. -Moonlight leans against a wall and rests herself. That certainly wasn't a pleasant experience. Now the smuggler femme just has to decide what to do. -Silhouette smirks "Like the one in your hand, Thunderstrike...?" she then materializes a spike of shadows floating in the air, and brings her hand through it, before it dissipates into nothing. "I'm sorry, Thunderstrike...a spike of mine could have never caused you that scar, mine only scar the mind with intimidation" grinning quite eeriely she whispers soothingly "You are wasting your time if you wish to blame me for the punishments you experienced due to your own recklessness and insubordination..." -Swivel frowns.... that voice that.... she looks carefully at Silhouette. Surely he doesn't mean to say that Sil is Syl... she frowns. She knows why Spikes set him off... she was the one that witnessed it all... she seems momentarily frozen, deep in thought... but not too far in. She's reachable... -Springer hurries after Thunderstrike and tries to pull him back away. "What part of -this is not the time- can't you people understand?" He's hissing himself now, a savage hiss that should do Silhouette proud. "We have a -mission- here, you idiots, and it is -not- to fight other Autobots!" -Moonlight finds a little niche withing the tunnels to hide herself in. At least this way she'll still be watching the tunnels and she'll know when and if someone is leaving... -Swivel looks at Sil..... hmmmm... what SIlhouette says is true. It's all trikery of the mind... just still... she shrugs, drifting to reality she comes up behind Thunderstrike and Springer. "Right, we need to proceed. Drop this at once Thunderstrike...." -Thunderstrike watches her carefully. "And I suppose the voice is a figment of my fraggin imagination? That's crap. I'll let it go for now. But I know it was you. And what comes around goes around." -Swivel gives Thunderstrike a tug. "May we go now...? We have a mission to worry about... and booby traps." -Silhouette nods at Springer "Well done, and you should listen to him, Thunderstrike...I do not know what you're speaking of, or how you got that scar, but we are on a mission here...and it's not for you to get yourself over your head in trouble. Let us go now...before we fail ourselves..." -Thunderstrike slings the spike over his shoulder, after casting the glare to end all glares in Sil's direction, looking to Swivel momentarily. "Sorry, I got carried away." He follows Swivel. -Swivel mutters to Thunderstrike: "I ... like to ... to ... ... once we ... the allright ..." -Silhouette doesn't seem at the least bit moved by Thunderstrike's outburst, and just continues on the way, prodding the other Autobots to relax and move on. Lieutenant Moonlight says, "We have a bit of trouble down at the Glacier tunnels..." Skydagger says, "Skydagger here. Is there anybody available to assist?" -Thunderstrike mutters to Swivel: " Swiv. ... ... tend to have ... recievers ... ... however. Best ... another spot." -Swivel mutters to Thunderstrike: "I know exactly ... ... you can ... me ... ... perch. If ... ... know ... ... is... ... ... really don't ... me." -Moonlight quietly speaks into her radio, calling on the broadband frequency. Maybe a little help would be a good thing right now. Lieutenant Moonlight says, "I'm not sure...I'm inside the tunnels right now, and I don't think leaving would be wise." Skydagger says, "Are you damaged? Do you foresee needing a medic?" Lieutenant Moonlight says, "I'm not damaged...yet. Let's just say that I'm rather outnumbered." Skydagger says, "*sigh* On my way." Lieutenant Moonlight sounds a bit snappish. "If it's /such/ an inconvienience, you don't /have/ to come save my aft." -Swivel nods. "Well...!" She looks around. "We ought to pice up pace... but still remain cautious!" she frowns, sighs, slumps her shoulders, straightens up, and carries on. Looks like the sugar rush she had when they began has left her. Skydagger says, "If that is your attitude I may as well return to the repair bay. Enfilade still requires attention. At any rate, where are you, I have arrived in the vicinity." Lieutenant Moonlight says, "Hey, you're the one who sighed in the first place. Anyhow, I'm hiding within the tunnel system. *she gives directions* I'm just before a pit trap." -Thunderstrike follows along. "Look at little Ms. Take charge asserting herself." He grins. Skydagger says, "Understood. Is there anyone between yourself and the entrance?" Lieutenant Moonlight says, "Not that I've been able to see." -Swivel looks back at Thunerstrike. "At least I can BE assertive and not overload to aggressive, hot shot." she chuckles. "Anyway, I shouldn't even start another insult fest wiht you, we have work to do...." Skydagger says, "Understood. If I'm damaged, it's your aft." -Skydagger circles above and lands a ways away from the entrance to the mineshaft, looking around to see if she sees anyone. Lieutenant Moonlight says, "Sure, blame the smuggler." -Moonlight remains crouched in her niche, waiting for 'help' to arrive, though she isn't sure she wants that help anymore. -The little band of Autobots heads deeper into the mines, until the tunnel they're travelling abruptly ends...as in dead end. It's almost disappointing, until you notice a flicker of bright gold from above. A small stalactite is set in the ceiling, made of dull metal except for a thin line of gold running down one side. This gold color isn't just shiny, it practially blazes. A small spot of gold is on the ground below the stalctite, lined up precisely below the tip of the stalactite. -Skydagger, satisfied nobody is around, enters the mineshaft and makes her way downwards. -Thunderstrike looks up. "Any bright ideas?" He clutches his spike, just knowing buisness is about to pick up. -Swivel shines her light on the dead end heaving a sigh, until a glimmer, no a blaze of gold catches her optics. "Could this be it!?" she exclaims walking over. "We just need a sample for Silentlight, right Sil?" -Skydagger continues to wend her way downwards into the mineshaft, looking about her constantly, hoping to find Decepticons and hoping against hope that the Bots are gone, or dead in a cavein. -Moonlight peers out from her nook, watching for Skydagger. She wishes that there weren't so many cold types in the Empire...it always makes her wonder whether she's with the right people. Then again, the Bots aren't much better. She would rather be freelance again, but she also hates lonliness. Finally she spots Skydagger down the tunnel. Lieutenant Moonlight says, "Okay, I see you. I'm coming out now, so don't get startled and shoot or something..." Skydagger says, "Understood." -Thunderstrike pulls his whip from subspace, jamming the spike into the wall. Hes climbing. "Im on it." -Skydagger steps forward slowly, cautiously, half expecting this to be a trap... -Springer says, "Wait...that's it? Where's the rest of it?" he looks around carefully. "What happened to that damn dripping? I was just starting to get used to it." -Moonlight slowly steps out of the nook and turns to face Skydagger. She shrugs helplessly. -Swivel looks at Thunderstrike. "Just a sample, Thunderstrike.. and be careful, I don't know much about it. It could be highly unstable... but I'm no scientist.." she looks at Springer and shrugs. "Amybe there is a pool of it abover, beside... below... there could be a swarm of it anywhere in this whole area, we just obviously didn't find the right spot. no matter, we only wanted a sample, and we found it!" -Skydagger puts a hand on Moonlight's shoulder and nudges her towards the wall. "Back in the nook," she whispers, nearly inaudibly. -Thunderstrike gets on an even level with it, and calls below. "You want me to just rip this thingamabob down? That would be better then a sample, no?" -Moonlight gives Skydagger a questioning look, but says nothing before crawling back into the nook. She only hopes that Skydagger isn't into the evil practice of doing mean things all in the name of teaching her a lesson. -Swivel shakes her head no, waving her arms frantically. "JUST a sample Thunderstrike!" -Skydagger isn't. Though she does love seeing people stressed out, right now she has other concerns. "Who is here?" -Thunderstrike takes out a small blade, and scrapes some of the residue off, dropping the blade down to Swiv. "Catch." He then cant resist, and dabs the tip of the spike in the substance before beginning to descend. -Swivel is quick to move and catch it -carefully- and is about to store the sample, but on request, hands it to Sil. -Moonlight frowns. "There's five of them. Nosecone, Swivel, Springer, Thunderstrike, and some shadowy femme who likes to hiss a lot." -Skydagger nods, only recognising some of the names and descriptions. "Now then. What are you here to do?" -Moonlight's frown deepens. "Well, I was here to share some of the guard duty with Solar. He /is/ only one mech and there were quite a few entrances into the tunnels. I guess the Bots must have gotten in some other way. They certainly didn't get past me." -Skydagger frowns. "And what are you to do now? Have we already obtained a sample of this stuff?" -Thunderstrike drops down and looks to his companions. "Lets get the slag outta here. Mission accomplished." -Moonlight shakes her head. "Not that I've been told. Then again, I'm usually the last person to be told anything..." -Springer eyes the end of the tunnel wistfully, then he shrugs. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. He nods at Thunderstrike. "Yeah, I think we've done about as much damage as we can down here." -Swivel nods her head. "Quite. Don't worry, I remember the way out, I'll lead you guys." she smiles and points her headlights back the way they came. "Well, we just have to hope nothing terrible happens on our way out... but it's less likely as we have dealt with all the booby traps in our route!" -Skydagger rubs her cheek. "I suggest we wait here until they leave. Then we take a sample, I will return to the lab and you can make a report." -Moonlight makes a face. "Why me?" -Thunderstrike saunters along. Put kill Sil on his to do list. -Skydagger looks at Moonlight flatly and expressionlessly. "Because you were here." -Springer trudges after Swivel, not really bothering with the marching order or scanning for traps any more. It's just not the same the second time through. -Moonlight chuckles softly. "Oh...yeah." -Springer stands at the edge of the pit and stares down. "I guess we should have asked the Dark Queen to leave us one of her grapples." -Swivel nods her head and frowns. "How are we going to get across? Flying for you two boys is out of the question... the ceiling is too low.... well... I'll go on ahead first and maybe I can find somehting to help you guys across with... unless Thunderstrike conveniently has a chord or line?" -Nosecone hmmms, because he's been there ALL along. "Well.. There is one way, I guess." -Swivel looks at Nosecone. "You make the path wider with your mighty drilling abilities?" -Nosecone grins. "Took the words right outa my vocaliser." -Springer taps his chin thoughtfully. "You know...now that I look at from this side, I bet I could have just jumped it." -In the small dark hiding place Moonlight gives Skydagger an inquisitive look...waiting to see if the femme has any plans for action. -Swivel taps her chin in thought, arching an optic ridge. "You think you can risk it, Springer, sir?" -Skydagger returns Moonlight's glance with an expressionless glance of her own. Don't look at me, I'm a doctor, not a spelunker. -Springer says, "Huh? Oh, nah, why take a chance? I'm sure Nosecone over there can get us through. All of us. Just thinking out loud, you know?" -Nosecone gives Springer an incredulous look. "Wouldnt ya hit your head on the ceiling? Anyways.. I could drill through, easy enough, but it aint the most subtle plan in the world. But if no-one else has got any other suggestions.." -Thunderstrike shrugs. "Quicker you drill, quicker we get beer." He grins to Cone. -Swivel shrugs. "Yes.... I can't think of anything else...." -Moonlight holds up her hands to show she doesn't really know what to do. And being in hiding isn't exactly the best place to discuss a plan. -Nosecone nods, abling over to check the walls. "Should be okay".. he mutters, as he transforms, his drill already spinning up to speed with an ominous whirr.." -Springer holds up his hands. "Okay, okay! Sorry, didn't mean to steal anybody's thunder." He smirks. "Whatever works. You're the tunnel expert." He grumbles under his breath, "I would've made it..." -Swivel chuckles and walks to the ledge, standing at an angle so she can give a decenlt supply of light so Nosecone doesn't fall over the edge while he begins making a wider path. -Thunderstrike leaps into the air again. He begins to do a scan. "I want to see if our exploits effected the emissions at all." -Bits of debris fly from the wall as Nosecone cuts into it with a horrible tearing sound. "You can still try it" the drill-tank emits loudly over the racket, "But we got no way ta pull you up if ya fall.." -Skydagger shudders hearing the sound of the drilling echo through the tunnel. She glances at Moonlight curiously, but says nothing. -Moonlight isn't much good at getting rescued. Being stuck in this whole with Skydagger is wearing on her patience. -And so, the Heroic Autobots escaped the Evil Decepticons, which is just as well because they consisted entirely of Moonlight. And they all went home and had scones and jam. And that's how Nosecone saved Christmas. ================================= Decepticon ================================= Message: 10/8 Posted Author Round One Sat Jun 14 Moonlight ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I hate to say it, but it seems as though round one goes to the Bots. I was keeping an optic on one of the entrances to the tunnels up at the glacier when I heard some drilling sounds coming from inside the tunnel system. Since I hadn't heard anything about a mining team going down there, I assumed it meant trouble and went to investigate. It was trouble alright and went by the names of Nosecone, Thunderstrike, Swivel, and Springer. And there was some shadowy femme whom I couldn't identify. Anyhow, they were more than a match for me, and so there was little I could do to stop them except for call for help. The only person who came was Skydagger, which really leaves me to believe that not enough people take me seriously. We at least managed to see that they had gotten a sample of the electrum so we at least know how far they've gotten. OOC: This report isn't very formal sounding, but I did that on purpose; Moonlight isn't a formal sort of person. You can all get mad at her if you like. ==============================================================================
